Good evening,

Thanksgiving is nearly hear, I can almost smell the turkey. I do have to go back to work in about 24 hours, I am really feeling anxious about the lack of sleep I will be getting over the next 48-72 hours. We have nearly finished our Christmas shopping for the boys, only one more thing to pick up for JP, and picking up the layaway and they will be done!!!!
I did put up my 6.5ft tree today and when I got home from work I put the lights and garland on it. I will leave the rest of the ornaments for us to do with the kids. As usual, I walked around the tree stringing the lights and swearing at the lights and tree, some traditions die hard, I am glad the kids were asleep, because I do not swear in front of them.

If anyone goes shopping tomorrow, please remember to thank the people working as a nice gesture, I use to work at a video store and had to work on every holiday. The people working usually don't want to be there and be away from their family. Just show them a little appreciation. I may bring some cookies to the convenience store clerk where I buy my newspaper as a way to thank them for working.

Good night everyone.

Having worked my share of Thanksgivings in retail, I agree with and understand this !! I think that would be a wonderful gesture with the cookies !! xo

May your blessings for giving thanks far exceed one day and your turkey be moist!

Your must have companion to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Hear the real action behind the scenes as you watch on TV.

(This will come in really handy when the parade is interrupted with all that dancing and mostly lame singing! Why is that done anyway? I mean, it's a PARADE!...or supposed to be. Can you say "MUTE"? )

I like all that dancing and singing! (and of course the rest of the parade!)

Special Thanksgiving Greetings to EVERYONE ! Be careful out there, some of the crazies are already out and about.

My sister is having Thanksgiving, so all of the Chicago based Eagles are going to caravan out to Crystal lake (about an hours ride). My nephew has mastered the "smoker", so I'm really looking forward to another great smoked ham to compliment my sister's turkey. As always, Mrs.Eagle has been requested for her soon-to-be-famous garlic mashed potatoes.

Some good news. My son, Jon Eagle and his wife, have the day off from their TSA duties and will be joining us. My other son Matt Eagle (USMC) is in the middle east hopefully not in harms way today.

May our kind and loving God bless all of us and our families on this special day, (those of you that know me know this part and I hope you all will join in) and Dear Lord also bless those who serve, our armed forces and our first responders - Police and Fire, see them all safely home at the end of their tours to their loved ones. Amen.

Good morning everyone!

I'm sure all my American MMC friends have been up for quite sometime, however. After all, for you, it is Thanksgiving! And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you all!! May you all enjoy the warm company of family, friends and loved ones. Everything that makes you Thankful. Of course, enjoy the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, too!

As for me, I only have about a day and a half until the weekend. I am certainly looking forward to it, too! Last night was quiet. I went to the gym and did a few exercises. My knee rehabilitation is still coming along. Everything seems to be OK, but there is one place I can still feel some inflammation. In all honesty, I don't know the name of the muscle/ligament. I may have to return to the doctor to see if it is still inflamed. After all this, I am starting to consider that I may have torn something and did not notice until the inflammation has subsided/decreased... We'll see what happens!

One month until Christmas on Sunday. Thankfully, the weather will have returned to seasonal by then... and they're calling for snow early next week. Finally. Snow! Just in time for the third week of the Christmas Season!

Once again, have a great Thanksgiving, everyone! Enjoy your celebrations! And, of course, Merry Christmas.
