CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #30

Good Morning, Whispering Wednesday Wonders.
(Or is that Shispering Wednesday Wonders?)

Hey!
Can it be the 30th day of Christmas Season 2012 already?
No! Say it ain't so!
.....But yet, it is.

Then, to add to the incredibility, there's this:
Days to Christmas Day: 13 (UNDER TWO WEEKS, now!)
Heavens to Betsy!

A bit cooler yesterday, with downright cold weather (back down into the 30's) just around the corner.
None of the frozen wet stuff in the forecast, however.
We stand at 47 degrees here, currently.

OK!
Next-to-the-last 'Pines open house before Christmas.

Carl knows how close Christmas is and he's pulling out all the stops with the decor, food and entertainment to make this a memorable Christmas Season at our resort Inn of choice.

Come join our lovable, crazy camel for rollicking fun in the proper, old-fashioned festive holiday style!

And say! From now until Christmas, the first TWO red and green frosted fired twinkies (yes, they're safe!) are complimentary along with all the tea (or coffee, if you must) one can drink.
See you there!
(Right, Holiday?)

Have a simply Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!!

It was foggy this morning in northern California. I wanted to do some sorting of scrapbooking supplies, but my back hurt for some reason. Have any of you ever heard of radition exit pain. Supposedly, it can hurt the area where the "waves" or whatever it is called, exit the body. For example, the raditation entered in the mid front right chest and now my back hurts in what I would assume is the exit area. Not fun! It is also very tiring. Not much going on here, so I will TTYL.
no, I have never heard of this but it sounds painful.
Praying you feel better quickly.

Don't believe the models past 6 or 7 days. The 10 day models have shown that we were going to get a blizzard every week since Thanksgiving and so far we haven't even seen a flake of snow. They were showing the same for next week this morning but the afternoon runs did a complete 180 and show it warming up.
we had a dozen flakes yesterday! Just enough to remind us of what it looks like. Looked out this morning and it is almost all gone again.

I just snapped a couple pics of my Christmas tree:

very nice!
I have been trying to get a good shot of mine but so many lights twinkling I cannot get the special lights to show up properly.

Boy, I was really happy tonight, the rain stopped and the fog lifted today, so I was able to get back to my outside lights. I managed to get all the lights on the roof up tonight... whew... Thats around 1500 lights up on both roofs. This past rainy weekend I also hooked up an additional 1500 lights on all the bushes and small trees out front, I got all the blowmolds, animated grapevine deer and misc stuff all lit; another 1000 lights and I still have to do the porch and out back. By the time its all said and done, I should have about 6000 lights gleaming away....The Electric Compay just Loves me.... oh well, it's worth it.... :yahoo:
competing with the Griswold's are you? LOL would love to see a picture of it.

sounds like it will be fun!
Of course the twinkies are safe, we here in Canada, (where they are still made), have been shipping them down to Carl in special orders. I will make sure he never runs out! After all the tradition must continue.
See you all at the pines!!!

ok, center pieces done, gingerbread houses done, cheese cakes baked, now I am down to a tree to finish decorating and cookies to bake.
Feels good to be getting this stuff done!!
Even though it has been busy it has also been fun.

If the calendar didn't prove that you were telling the truth, I wouldn't believe you, Crown! The Christmas Season has flown by. We say it all the time, but it is true.

Also, it certainly felt strange when I changed to 13 Days left on my "Days 'Til Christmas" counter at home.

Seawaters: I've heard or radiation exit therapy. Of course, it wasn't positive things either. Sorry for the pain. Keep fighting! It will all be worth it in the end. :)

Holiday: Your Christmas Tree is beautiful. Fantastic job!

shocker at work, boss put out schedule till Jan 4th...that is not totally shocking, but somewhat because she usually only does a week at a time.

The true shocker is that I agreed to work close on new years eve, which put me off at 11 pm, home by 11:30, just in time to bring in the new year with my son.
Well, the schedule says we are staying open until 1:30am!!! We are never open that late and I never would agree to work until that time. So I am going to call her later and see what is going on. If true I will be refusing to work that night past the usual 11pm hour. If she wants to be open that long she can come in and do it.

Good morning everyone!

I was a little late for work yesterday -thanks to my doctor's appointment - and didn't have time to check in. Sorry! It seems as if most of you are doing well, however. Best of luck to those others that are trying to get back on track.

In regards to my doctor's appointment, I have good news. Apparently, I was reading into my ultrasound doctor's monotone voice and facial expressions too much - those crazy Russians! My doctor looked at my scans and I do not require surgery. In fact, I didn't even tear my meniscus. I may have had a slight (Grade 1) tear in my LCL, but it has recovered and barely showed on the ultrasound. With that said, I only require Active Release Therapy in hopes to rid myself of this nasty patellar tendonitis.

Two unfortunate things about ART - I'm not covered... It should be about $250 total. I just hope it works! And, it will more than likely be the most excruciating pain I will ever feel. I have a friend that did it a couple months ago and they basically cut off all the circulation to the injured area and then grind out the scar tissue/inflammation. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? Still, as long as it works, it will be very much worth it once complete.

Kim and I watched Elf last night. We almost watched it last week, but we were happy to delay it until last night. It still makes both of us laugh. It is always a fantastic film! I think I will have to bring it home to watch during my time in Sault Ste. Marie, too. There are a couple classics I have to watch at least twice during the year.

Also, we might be joining Kim's best friend and her boyfriend on a Christmas light expedition this evening. I'm excited! I'll be sure to take photos. Apparently there are a few upper class neighbourhoods around Ottawa/Orleans that have beautiful displays. I haven't experienced it yet, and I look forward to sharing the photos on the Blossoms thread!

Have a great Wednesday everyone! Only one more 'Pines Day before Christmas! How can that be? Carl continues to go all out. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and the food is delicious. The camel knows how to do it! But, how come nobody has tried the fruit cake?! :) Hope all is well with you all. Keep enjoying the Christmas Season. Merry Christmas!

I support this. That is totally unfair. Good luck!

It was a gift I swear!!!!!!! I never would have bought it on my own.
Sure!!! You just had to have it and ordered 1000's of them to flood your house! (glitter nightmares!)
I got one too !!! Maybe we could be the glitter twins !!!!!!! :-)
Now Binger needs one for you to all be Glitter Triplets!!!

Have fun with your candles!

I finished all my baking yesterday. It's so much fun but I am glad it's only once a year. Wow! It sure is a lot of work! I did get help from my granddaughter and son. While my granddaughter and I baked some goodies we played Christmas songs real loud and sang and danced at the same time. She had a blast and couldn't wait to tell her parents she did baking. My son and I were up last night decorating the sugar cookies while listening to Dean Martin Christmas music!

I am wanting to just sit, relax and read the rest of the Countdown but gotta go! I have so much to do but hopefully I can get back on here this evening to catch up.

Here is what my granddaughter and I like to do when hearing Christmas music! You all need to do this too! :D
