Good evening, everyone. Hope you're all having a nice day. Not much is going on here. I'm just sitting spending time with DH and the kids. We're currently deciding what to try to do for dinner.

Did anyone do anything fun this weekend? I feel like I am so far behind, which I guess I am, but I promise to read every post. Hopefully I will get through all them tomorrow!

Hey there! I feel the same way!! after Christmas things got so hectic at home and work,I feel like I will never catch up here...I was just thinking how much I miss being around here so much. Hopefully things will slow down for us!! It is times like this I really really miss Christmas and get the blues!!

I think I am about to go to bed for the night...I watch tv for a few hours and chill with the dog (snowball) he loves to watch tv on the bed with me. except for when a car will blow it's horn(on TV) he goes nuts...but anyway have a great night everyone I will check in here in the morning!!!

Today, I have picked up, cleaned up my truck, done a little office work, and since about 4:00 I have been sitting in my chair. I'm going to hang out the rest of the days and just enjoy life.

But first, a big bowl of vegetable soup awaits. I will see yall before bedtime (which might happen pretty soon, I'm lazy).

Watching the NHL All Star Game, probably the worst example of pro players not playing the game the way it's suppose be to played. But it's hockey, just like when it's the worst Christmas show it's still Christmas. Still just feeling lousy, have no want for any food.

Isn't the whole Super Bowl experience in your town interesting? I know when it was here last year it filled up almost all our news time but I enjoyed the coverage of it. Some people complained to the news stations about it. It's just wild how your whole town transforms into a completely different place.

My little Chico woke me up this morning to go out and now he is back asleep! Gotta love him!

This was reminding me of the times my kids and I use to go to the Children's Theater all the time. One time we went to see some Raggedy Ann play. I don't remember the story to well (long time ago) but Raggedy Ann would break out in a song on almost every scene. This one time she started singing and some little boy in the front row, probably 3 years old, yelled out, "ohhh, not another song"! Not good manners but everyone busted out laughing. Even Raggedy Ann was trying to keep from laughing. His mom was so embarrassed! I will never forget that!

Football will be over soon and you can get out and do something else fun! I am actually going to miss football when it's over. I love football season!

I love to see old cemeteries. A lot of interesting history and artwork on the tombstones. That one you saw is very interesting!!!

cah don't get me wrong, i love football. let me tell you why i tend to get a little tired of it by now (except for the super bowl)my son is 19 now but @ 10 yrs. old he began playing. i've been to every game & most practices, participated as team mom, hubby as coach, then in middle school he begins playing for the school. we were @ every game & practice, my daughter cheered, i was @ every practice & game, coached the cheerleaders too. my son was a 4 year starter in high school. we were @ every game. we met our oldest (22 on Tuesday) during this time. later we unofficially adopted him. they both were offensive linemen & were very close. my oldest was being recruited & played in the Shrine bowl. went to s.c.state after graduating on a football scholarship. went to as many games as we could.then 19 yr. old was being recruited, went to all the colleges & universities. my entire family is football crazed. so see i had no choice but to fall in love w/ football.

Stayed home this morning, bit of a sore throat so did not want to pass it on.

I took a sick day from MMC yesterday, I caught what JP had, I was so sick, still don't feel like eating today, I was in bed for 18 hours with this nasty bug, I am still very dehydrated, it was so bad my skin had a grey tinge to it last night. I do feel better somewhat today, and being off my foot for nearly 18 hours my foot feels better as of right now. I will be sitting around doing nothing today, I don't think I slept more than 2 hours at a time yesterday, even though I was in bed for 18 hours.

I just re-read this this morning. It comes from the Little Blue Book for Advent. I, too, felt a little guilty because I was afraid I would miss someone, especially when so many are praying for me:

"...Perhaps I try to be sure to include everyone in my prayer. I do this sincerely because I care about them and I want to help.

Perhaps my prayer gets busy and cluttered because I'm trying to remember to mention all the intentions and all the people for whom I've promised to pray. It's as though I think God wouldn't be able to remember someone if I didn't specifically take care of it.

Perhaps I feel I have all these people depending on me, and I work very hard to include them in my prayer. I am acting as if...it all depends on me. When I do this, I have things backwards. God is God and I am God's child. God handles things as God, and I handle things as God's child.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes when I think of all the prayer requests I know about, I just simply ask God to give peace. And especially to give peace to me!!!

I just got back from morning church services and am about to warm up dinner which is leftovers from every night this past week...so we are having pot pie,lasagna,brownies for derssert,ham...just a little bit of everything so I can start over on new things tomorrow! I hope everyone is having an awesome sunday!! Alot of folks were out at church with Flu,I am glad Brandi and Jordan did not go...don't want them getting sick!! have a great afternoon everyone!

I swear, there is no feeling more satisfying than getting things done! I already finished all of my homework, and it is only 1:50 PM! I promised my mom I would help her getting some cleaning done so everything is order when she goes for her surgery on Wednesday, so now I am going to do that now and then see what happens for the rest of the day.

I am disappointed that tomorrow is already Monday - I swear, these weekends go by way too fast.

hey you. just watching finishing our weekend by watching a jackie chan movie. kandice´s power rangers costume for carnival has arrived and I was a pirate for carnival yesterday.....even tho I dont really feel like party and all that after gramps passing...I know that life has to go on, and that he would have wanted us to go there and enjoy ourselves for a few hours

I would email her and say, "What you can DO is BE RESPONSIBLE!!! Poor planning on your part does not make it an emergency on our part!!!" Then I would submit the assignment and tell the prof that she did NOTHING!!!

oh, i agree 1000%. no way should someone get credit when she contributed nothing. even if she went out of town, she still knew what she was to do! that would not fly w/ me @ all.

My crazy Christmas cactus is starting to bud again. It only gave me four blooms between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but now it's setting up a bunch of buds. It must be an MMC cactus ... it blooms and celebrates any old time! Thinking of you all and wishing you well and happy.

I am disappointed that tomorrow is already Monday - I swear, these weekends go by way too fast.

That's where I am tonight. We had a nice day with our friend---we all had lunch out, then we screened "Honolulu" (1939) for him downstairs (he loves Gracie Allen)---but I'm still burned out and bummed out from last week, and really dread Monday morning. Especially since there's a big presentation in the afternoon, so my desk will be loaded up with rush work when I arrive. Wish I could somehow get some stamina and some positive thinking before morning, but if I haven't recharged by now, I think I'm going to have to resign myself to dragging through tomorrow as best I can. When I think of the troubles others have, mine are very small in comparison, and I shouldn't feel as low as I do.

I finally ate something chicken broth with egg noodles, I cannot shake this headache though, I am sure it is because I am dehydrated, been drinking all day long, and it won't disappear, I am afraid to take any ibuprofen or anything like that with my stomach feeling so blah. So I am watching Transformers 3 to pass the time, we are worried LC is coming down with it, he has been complaining about his belly. I hope it is just a bellyache from eating to much popcorn. I hope I can sleep well tonight, I am exhausted.

After all you've been through, and now this ... I hope you can get it out of your system soon. At least you were able to eat something. And it's doing your foot good by keeping you off it.

I hate group projects! Our assignment for the week consisted of 4 questions. Since our group has 5 members, we decided that each person would do a question, and then the remaining group member would put it all together and submit the assignment. We went all week without hearing from a girl in our group. Conveniently today (when it is all due) she emailed us with a pathetic excuse claiming she was "out of town" all week long and asked what she could do. Sheesh, don't you think it's a little late for that? The assignment is due by midnight tonight, and she expects to hear back from everyone telling her exactly what to do?

I cannot wait until I graduate!

my daughter had a similar problem with someone she had to partner with. The guy finally, after a few days of bugging him, sent her the stuff at 10pm the night before the presentation. (she had to put it all together in a power point )

You know what? I think I am going to take your advice. If no one complains about her to the professor, she's just going to think she can get away with it on a weekly basis. We had those questions and a project to do this week and she did not help with either. You are the best - you gave me the little push I needed!

hey ya'll! well it's been a pretty laid back day. after reading all ya'lls posts about being sick i feel so bad for ya'll. i feel like ya'll are so important to me & i just can't stand it when someone is sick in my family. i'm that way w/ my kids & hubby & other family too. i have just said a prayer for each & everyone of you on this site. hey does anyone on here use coupons? i'm not talking extreme couponing just cutting & saving a little. well our grocery bill has gotten so out of control that i said i have to do something. i've started cutting coupons & have used some thus far. i've found 1 grocery store in town that doubles them up to 99cents everyday now. like if i have a 75 cent coupon for an item, they will give me $1.50 off but if it's $1 coupon, i only get the $1 off.know what i mean? the thing is that some of the items i've got coupons for i can't find in the stores. we've only used the $1 & up ones so far @ walmart. our walmart usually has the most selection & i've not found the items yet. hmm? the grocer that doubles them is Bi-Lo. ever heard of that one?

My company was okay with my decision not to go along with that goofy schedule but they still are changing my schedule on a temporary basis to 1-9 Mon thru Fri......which means every single Saturday and Sunday I will be off for a time and because they changed it starting next week......I have a three day weekend this weekend !! xo

I had my annual review here at work yesterday. It's not typically my most favorite day; we usually just talk about areas where I need to improve. Yesterday, though, my supervisor was very complimentary of my work and the experience I bring to the table. He even talked about future promotions and other advancements.

Today, I am starting my first online course. It is an additional basic qualification course. Upon completion, I will be qualified to teach the Junior level (Grades 4-6). As a qualified Intermediate/Senior teacher, I figured that it may help me get a job if I could teach a third level. We'll see how this class goes. I am excited for it!
