My 86 year old grandpa is visiting at my house. He told us that when he left the grocery store today and walked to his car, someone was sitting in it!! Who does that?!?! Sheesh - we're lucky someone didn't mug him.
when I went down to the Michigan skid school about this time last year, we traveled in a rented vehicle. We stopped for dinner and when I went back to the car I opened the door to find a lady looking surprised at me. Turns out I opened the door of the wrong vehicle! I apologised and turned around red faced to see the guys in our car laughing at me. Might be the same thing happened to your grandfather, just an innocent mistake.
So yes, some of us absent minded people do that! LOL.

I've made it back home without getting in trouble. You can put the Bail money back in the safe. I definitely should have went yesterday. It's so packed today that it's hard to just get around. I didn't even attempt to go into the NFL experience. I just strolled around the village for a while and then I camped out over at the ESPN compound. It was cool to see them film sports nation. If it doesn't rain to hard I might try to go back down tomorrow.

According to the Super Bowl thread at Radio Reference there is plenty of aero radio traffic to be heard; not the least of which is an established Combat Air Patrol.

Plus a member over there is in the process of establishing an event radio scanner feed! That will be good listening for the weekend!

How cool (or scary if you're paranoid) is this:

I counted at least 4 helicopters in the air at all times and I know the news was warning everyone that there would be fighters overhead this weekend. The security is pretty tight. There are cops everywhere and Cameras mounted all over the place. Customs has also brought in several of their portable towers and stationed them around the village.

@MADE-have fun and enjoy the festivities. When the superbowl was in Jacksonville,Fl a few years back i drove down there that weekend it was only and hour and a half drive, but it was amazing,I am sure Indianapolis is a much larger city than Jax,I will never understand how jax landed the superbowl but the economic impact is great for the cities they come too! have a great friday night everyone!

I'd say Jacksonville is probably bigger than Indy. We mainly got it as a reward for building a new stadium. Hopefully everyone is noticing how nice it is though to have all of the festivities in a 3 square block area and we will get another one soon.

Where is everyone tonight? Don't you know you're all supposed to be staying in and relaxing on a Friday night!? Haha just kidding! There is nothing to do around here unless I want to drive up to my friend's college which is an hour and a half away - no thanks! I'd rather relax and have a movie night. A lot of people are going to the bars and starting the Super Bowl weekend off early, so I'd rather not be driving around since I live near a handful of bars.

To anyone feeling under the weather, I hope you get better ASAP so you can feel good for the weekend! I am feeling much better but my acid reflux is still bothering me - haven't been able to eat too much lately without it killing me. At least I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Okay they just showed the crowd on tv and I'm glad that I didn't stay until 9pm like I had originally planned. Apparently everyone wants to see LMFAO tonight.

I bet you made a good choice! I hate crowds for one and a lot of traffic, and it sounds like both would be involved. Even if the Super Bowl was in Pittsburgh, I'd probably stay home and watch. The traffic gets awful and the drive is 45 minutes already without traffic! Still, it has to be super exciting to have all of the hype there!

I woke up this morning, turned on the news and they just got back from a commercial playing, Let it Snow, and showing cars on an icy street. Then they told us not to panic these are videos from Denver! Just as iliam was talking about! Then they came back from another commercial talking about school cancellations with a long pause, in Denver. They are always silly on this local morning news show. Trying to make people think it's happening here. Of course I know better! :playing:
It has been so warm here! Everyone running around in shorts.

That is so funny and kinda true. It started around 7 last night and literally hasn't stopped all day. We have about a foot right now and it's supposed to continue all night. Even for Colorado this is unusual.

Guten Freitag morgen, meine Weihnachtstag freunde!

We had the most wonderful schnitzel and German potato salad in the world last night! We even had fresh bread baked using ingredients shipped over from Germany. The worst part of the meal was when I was too full to eat more. Heartbreaking! I guess I didn't go all out for the German meal, 'cause I washed it down with sweet tea. I just asked myself, "What would Crown do?"

I have a busy day lined up, so I better get back to it. I'll check back in in a bit.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Sinztel is my all time favorite dish. My grandmother always makes it for me as she is German.

Thats all I plan on doing tonight with all this snow I didn't want to step foot outside all day! Don't know what we're going to watch as we have a lot to choose from. Hope you have a good night and enjoy relaxing.

Hope everyone else is having a great Friday night and stay safe this weekend.

I can't sleep and am hungry so I poured a bowl of 'collassal crunch' yeah that's right I guess it's the generic for "captain crunch" but hey its cheaper and tastes the same.lol I have a sweet tooth tonight, not much on tv that I see, I guess I will pop in some re runs!

I get acid reflux every couple of months, and it lasts forever. Nexium is the only thing that works for me, to heal it up that is. Have you ever tried it? My insurance doesn't cover it, and it's very expensive, but my doc will give me lots of free samples as needed! Feel better!!

Happy B-Day to LaurieBear and RJD's wife. Getting older is WONDERFUL. When my daughter had her stroke at age 22, she told me that the answer to a long life is just to breathe!!! I gave all my students a letter to take home today that explained the cancer situation in my life. Three parents came by after school. One just outright cried. The other two had tears in their eyes when they said for me to call them for ANYTHING!!! For some reason, I am tired; and I need to rest up for wig "hunting" tomorrow, unless Bradmac will do that for me!!! Haha!!! Truthfully, though, I don't want any singed hair!!! TTYL.

Did I tell you guys about CaringBridge dot org??? This is a site where people with major illnesses can chart their progress for family and friends. If you go there, you can check me out at my first name and last name. Type in a capital C plus the rest of my first name, then NO SPACE, then capital W and the rest of my last name (Waters). I think you need to sign up, but this is a non-profit organization so they will NOT sell your name. I keep a journal there that you can read as I document my journey. I just want to say, in the words of a friend of mine, "Cancer, you chose the wrong *****!!!" The bleeped out part starts with a b and ends with a tch!!!

Can I say that on here??? If not, then ,someone, please bleep it out!!

It was a loooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggg day today.

I am tired, my foot is really killing me tonight, I have been on my feet way too much the last few days. The boys had a great time at the playscape, and BK, but they suck the life out of you they are so high energy, and I can only move at half speed with my bum foot.

Have a very good night. Dream something Christmassy!

:tree:

My wife finally asked me tonight, "What are the Santa Clauses still doing out?" She just noticed it. I said Whats wrong with that? MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I can't believe that people are complaining because they couldn't get close to the stage tonight for the LMFAO concert. I mean come on. It's the Friday before the super bowl and the concert is being put on for free in the middle of a street downtown. What did you expect?

I swear the countdown hates me tonight, it just won't let me reply!

Edit - Go figure, this time when I'm complaining it works.
