Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a chilly one here in central Indy with a high in the mid 30's. We got about 2 inches of snow last night and it looks beautiful outside right now. It sounds like it will melt pretty quick though. I don't have much planned for today. I have to take my niece's chocolate hearts out to them and then I'll probably head to the pines. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've been needing rain for a while now. All the local ponds have dried up, and there are more wildfires than usual. I wish it would set in and rain for a week!
Here at work I'm in an office trailer outside the main office with the rest of the sales & engineering staff. We had a small deck with steps built when the trailer was brought in, but the deck is starting to look rough. I recommended we get some water seal, but my boss said he used a stain/seal on his deck last year and had some left over. He brought it and we painted our deck with it, and it looks great! It has a red/brown tint that makes it look like redwood. I've decided I'm going to put the same stuff on my pool deck at home. Just what I needed...another project.

Good morning, everyone!
All this talk of the 'Pines had me checking my calendar. Is it Wednesday already?! I can deal with Tuesday. Back-to-back 'Pines days will certainly help the week progress! Carl has done a fantastic job decorating for this special occasion. Personally, I am not a fan of Valentine's Day, but Carl may have slightly changed my opinion.
The weather here is at a comfortable -6c. Unfortunately, after today, the next couple days are expected to be above freezing. There may not be much more hockey left on the outdoor rinks... They usually close at the beginning of March, but this year they opened late - nearly a full month behind schedule. Hopefully the weather allows the to remain for two more weeks.
Last night was a little relaxing. Kim and I had leftover ribs for dinner. Prior to that, I went to the gym for about an hour and a half. My back is healing. The pain has relatively subsided, however, I must be cautious with it. I am not returning to my favourite lifts until next week. And, I will not be returning to my normal weight until the week after. In the end, it will be about a month off from lifting heavy. Oh well!
Well, I think I have to purchase some overpriced flowers after work today. A reason why I truly hate Valentine's Day. I don't mind buying Kim flowers, but I just wish that they weren't so expensive at this time... There goes $40!
Anyway, I hope that you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day! It's Tuesday. Wednesday is right around the corner and then we are heading toward the weekend, once again. Enjoy!

Oh! I forgot to mention that my dad is currently in Cuba on vacation. He and his brother flew out of Toronto yesterday. Normally, this would not be that big of a deal, however, my dad has now flown since the mid 70s. He's always claimed that he had no interest flying anywhere that isn't Hawaii (where he flew to then), but somehow his brother managed to persuade him to go to Cuba.
I don't see him much - as we live about nine hours away from each other, and we only talk about twice a month, but it will be interesting to know that he's all the way down there! I hope they have a wonderful time. He deserves it!

Sad news in our tiny town. We have two flower shops in town. One of them caught on fire last night, destroying around $150,000 of Valentine gifts...
I didn't even know this place was still open, but the news said it had been there for 25 years. They interviewed the owner, who was on a delivery when the fire started. He was crying & it was horrible. It's a horrible thing to happen anytime, but especially before his busiest day of the year. I know I shouldn't wonder about this part, but I do---what will happen about the orders & money he's already taken in for deliveries today? I hope people are understanding & don't give hime a hard time; he's got enough to deal with right now.
