Carl's coffee mug?
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! My sister, who works in the same office I do, received an absolutely HUGE Teddy Bear this morning. The box was almost bigger than the delivery man. She sat the thing in her chair at the front desk, and put a pen in it's paw with a rubber band. She is telling all the patients that "Frank" the bear is her new assistant. Frank is the perfect employee; he doesn't complain, he is always in his seat, and he is friendly looking. Unfortunately, he doesn't type very fast, and he can't reach the top two shelves for charts. All in all, I don't think he's going to replace any of the secretaries very soon.
Good afternoon,
I am feeling really down today, I have been hanging around home for 5 weeks now waiting for my foot to heal, which it is doing very well, but I just want to go back to my normal work routine. I am trying to cheer myself up by watching a Christmas movie called Becoming Santa, it is a very touching movie/documentary. That and the Christmas commercials on it are helping a bit.
I have to go and pick out my Christmas Song A Day, for my thread, which is really helping me keep the spirit, I have discovered so many songs I have never heard, and of course the classics, and some I just don't like but post anyway. I do have my Bruins vs Rangers tonight, and I bought my wife some chocolate covered strawberries, they were at the grocery store I had to get them, I am making fried chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner for my boys since that is one of their favorites. Happy Valentine's Day!
I will be on throughout the rest of the day.
Have a good day!
Dawg: Wanted you to know I've been thinking of you today and praying for you. Hope everything went well and that when everything said and done, you and Brandi can have a great day later on!
Today is my Monday like most people. Since they switched my schedule I am a Monday through Friday person like most. I miss my Sunday through Thursday schedule and I think I am going to ask them how long this Monday through Friday thing will continue. I don't want to upset them as this is such an AMAZING company to work for but Good Friday is a day I usually attend church services in honor of our Lord's suffering and if I am working that day I will not get to "be" with Him that day (at least that is how I look at it).
I hope you can get this worked out. I can understand you wanting to be able to attend church that day. I really love this service as well and it is also so meaningful.
I am so, so afraid we are going to owe big time on taxes this year. I wish I knew the calculation to figure out if we are going to owe. I am the STUPIDEST person on earth when it comes to math.
Hope you don't owe too much. Heck, hope you don't owe anything at all! We actually turned our's into today for are tax guy today to do them. I hope we get a fair amount of money back. Fingers crossed.
Sugar - I hope that ear infection feels better soon, what a yucky thing. You poor thing. It just seems like one thing after the other.
I am feeling better much myself. Now the bug is going around work and we've been having 3-5 call offs a shift (except night shift), but at least usually 1 on night shift. I hope to the Lord I don't catch that that!
You all should see my baby. My Hermione is now nearly 20 pounds and not yet three months old. She is looking like a Bloodhound more and more every day rather than Golden Retriever. Still working on potty training of course and working on teaching not to be so mouthy/nippy. She seems to have melted everyone' s hearts here. Even Ivy, our Chihuahua who is a bit of a bossy personality, has sort of taken Hermione under her wing. Smokey and Lily, our two kitties, just kind of look at Hermione as if to say "What are you and why are you so wiggly ?" Neither of them had ever seen a puppy before Hermione.
I am so glad to hear Hermione is doing so well. When you can, please post another picture! I would love to see some!
(((((HUGS))))))) everyone from me, Clancy, Ivy, Wishbone, Hermione, Smokey, and Lily and also to Ella, Snickers, Harlowe, Snowball, Gomez, Penny, Chico, Daisy, Scooby, Sasha, and all furkids and even non-furkid animals who are out there xoxo
My mom is FINALLY back to her regular self! Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers! Apparently whatever was in her system just needed some time to get out!
Saturday night, we went to the movies. I unknowingly agreed to go see "The Vow" with her a couple weeks ago, so we saw that. I have a tendency to enjoy most movies for what they are worth... and The Vow wasn't half bad. There were some funny parts. Of course, Rachel McAdams always helps, too!
Is anyone doing anything special today? DH and I are going to dinner and a movie tonight. We haven't been out alone since our anniversary in July. I am excited. It sound be a nice evening.
DH and I going to see that tonight. I hope I enjoy. I think it looks better good.
Well I had planned on tagging along with you and your husband but it sounds like you want to be alone. So I guess I'll just have to sit here all by myself.
