Christmas Countdown - 2012

Yes! I saw it on a commercial so I had to buy it today. They had milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. I figured the milk chocolate would go best with most things so I bought that, although dark chocolate is my favorite kind of chocolate.
It is DELICIOUS with pretzels! It isn't very expensive and it comes in a very nice sized container filled to the tippy-top.

No More Rants Like This One, on This Subject
This has been the most stressful week for me in a long time. I had to make a difficult, life-threatening decision. I had to decide if I were willing to die for my convictions. I chose to say, “Yes, I am.” On the other had, our school superintendent also had to make the same decision: Is HE willing that I die for HIS DECISION? I can only assume that the answer was yes. You see, on Monday I was called into the principal’s office and was told that my choice of a sub was being negated, that I had to have a person from the high school come in and sub in my classroom during the time I needed to be off for cancer surgery, reconstructive surgery, and chemo. I had to tell the sub that I had already selected and worked with since January 2012 that she could not be my sub because someone at the high school did not want to be at the high school but wanted to be at the elementary school. I was totally blindsided!!! I tried to wrap my brain around that one and just could not. But, hey, what’s a little more stress for a cancer patient, right?
I let my union rep and my principal know that the situation was not acceptable to me. The district superintendent emailed me that he would like to meet and asked when I was free. I told him when my prep time was. He said he would “try” to be there. He never showed. No contact whatsoever. So there was answer #1. I saw him in the principal’s office after school. He never tried to see me. Answer #2. As a newly-made (?) mind reader/psychic, I can only conclude that he does not want and will not try to work anything out.
A funny side note: The principal said that they were trying to save me stress by doing what they did. Excuse me??? Please. Tell me what was stress-saving and not stress-making!!! I had no real stress to speak of until Monday when the bomb about my selected sub was dropped!!!
I was also told by a friend tonight that she was told that she should “talk to your friend” about her decision. Whoa!!! Then my friend was told that the district can MAKE me stay out if they (the district) thought I was too sick to work!!! What is next? Will Jehovah Witness teachers/staff or Christian Scientist teacher/staff be told they must have blood transfusions if the district thought they were sick enough for one??? Again, I say, what is next???
Too, I think, why does the district want to pit one teacher against another? Is the teacher at the high school so highly thought of that her wants are to be considered above mine? For some odd reason, I don’t think so. I honestly feel that my classroom has become a dumping ground for a teacher, for whatever reason, does not fit in at the high school. I am so sorry, but that is not MY problem.
Then tonight, I receive an email from my principal that I am out of sick leave and that if I take off any more days that my pay will be docked. (I had put in for a Workman’s Comp day to see the Workman’s Comp doctor and I had put in for a personal day during the time I should have been off for cancer treatment.) I told her that one of those days was Workman’s Comp but that it was okay with me if she docked me!!! I totally loved veiled threats, don’t you??? But I love being a Steel Magnolia better!!! Ever heard of the Tarheels??? I am one!!!

What a great vacay for them at DisneyWorld. But the BEST part is yet to be!!! You know. Those days with YOU and your little family!!! (I love how Bradmac says that!!!)

We're doing this party for fun, to boost morale around here. It'll be very tongue in cheek. We're all a bunch of rednecks already, lol! We ordered a bunch of cool party favors & decorations, and I'm making some "homemade ones". We're calling it a redneck block party on trailer row. We have a bunch of trailers set up in our back construction yard. I work out of one of them. They basically have us in these trailers because they ran out of office space inside, so we have @ 3 other trailers in use that we're running different jobs out of. I'm hanging up party lights, and running clotheslines in between the trailers. I'll be hanging up some hunting/fishing clothes, camo pants & boxers, old undergarments, etc. Should be hilarious! Hope the weather holds out!

Dont really know what to say to you about the school thing. but sounds like they dont give a damm about you. i hope you get it sorted as you really dont need the extra stress. you have enough to content with . you do not need heartless so and so.s trying to make it harder. today maybe someone will give you answers. goodluck
Weather is nice this morning starts to get clear now at about 6 am and does not fall down to about 6pm but think its gives frost tomorrow night. i hope now as our birds outside are sitting on eggs !!
Think am gonna have a easy day today had 3 pallets yesterday and with the others being here we got then all sorted.
Brought in a pallet of outdoor furniture like a plastic wicker style chairs and table with custions. put one in the shop and have the rest out in my garden for style!!
I had a 3 peice small metal outdoor set in the shop for a few days. and yesterday a wee elderly man came in and bought it. the girl in the shop said.do you want me to help you to the car with it. he said no just fold it down am taking it on the bus !!! so our bus service are pretty good . i think.
Sat with my neigbhour for a good while yesterday. and then the son came in about 6.30 as the daughter who died her husband was taking a few out to thank then for helping with his wife. When back in again later and the care team had been in and had her ready for bed. but she wanted me to take her to the toilet.

I got up at the same time(430) BUT i COULD HAVE SLEPT UNTIL 5AM...oops sorry for the caps.lol anyway not much to say except TGIF!!!! it's been a long long week and tonight is our valentines night since we did not celebrate on tues. I can't wait....We are going to FIddlers Green..the nicest restuarant around then we are going to a park downtown that has a creek that runs through it...that is where she gets jewrlry!!! and I will already have set up a blanket with rose peddles and wine and strawberries and Kiwi...then I guess we will go home where I will get.....well you know(insert devil horns) I hope everyone has a great morning...I have to leave to go to the gym at 6am then work at 730.have a great morning!
