Just getting off the phone with Brandi and she has made plans for us tonight....seems we are going to double with one of my friends and his wife to see the movie "act of valor" it's suppose to be movie of the year material...then we are going out to eat at Texas roadhouse...sounds good to me.lol!! I can't believe it's already friday! another week down and closer to Holiday season 2012!! HAVE a good morning everyone!!

It's a lot easier for me when I'm at school compared to carrying around a laptop. I can stay in touch through email with my professors and group members when I need to. I think the 30 dollars is a ripoff for 2 gigabytes of data, especially when most people have unlimited for 30. I have my phone setup now so when I am home or anywhere with Wi-Fi that it uses that and not my data. It is also nice for me because it merged with my iPod basically.
Now, needing it for school is certainly justifiable.

If I got it for myself, it would be mainly for fun. And you're right, since they cut off unlimited usage and only offer 2GB, there's no way I'd do it just for fun!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's an extremely windy day here in central Indy with some light snow showers expected this afternoon. I don't have anything exciting planned for today. Just sitting around and watching more racing coverage. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Talking of smartphones, I got mine in a free upgrade when my contract was due for renewal. I arranged to have the internet disabled because that was over and above what I was paying for initially. The good news is that provided there is WiFi, I can get access without paying so I'm fine at home and at work. If I decide I want it more, it can be switched back on but I'm not that desperate!!!
I haven't looked closely, but I don't think Verizon will allow you get get a free (or reduced) smartphone without paying for the data plan.

You lucky Scots!

Happy Friday to everyone! We ducked a couple inches of snow, which was good for me, because I had to come to work an hour early and wasn't looking forward to slipping and sliding to get here. The cold is almost all better and I'm looking forward to resting and getting my strength back this weekend.

The trailer for "Act of Valor" is awesome! Let us know what you think!

Just wanted to share this nice little experience ...

I've mentioned before that we don't have pets of our own, but a neighbor's cat (I don't even know his/her name) likes to come around and visit. We just call him Cat, and I enjoy petting him and visiting with him for a few minutes.

We were in the kitchen last night and I heard a strange little metallic rattling sound. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, so I peeped through the curtain over the kitchen sink. There was Cat staring back! He had jumped onto the deck railing and was tapping the window screen with his paw to let me know he was there. He's never done that before, and I was kind of flattered that he wanted me to come outside and visit him. It's nice to be able to "borrow" a neighborhood cat for a few minutes of furry relaxation!

I forgot to add that tomorrow is the day we get our little female dog doxie....We are debating on names as we speak. I don't know if I mentioned or not I had a dashund for 10 years named pookie...she was my baby girl...she went with me through good times and bad but she died last summer while I was deployed...so it's taken me this long to get up the strength to get another one...pookie was more like 75% dashund and 25% picanese and I am sure I misspelled everything in that last sentencea.lol but I am looking forward to the new addition to my family!!!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's warm and windy here today, I think it was 70° this morning. It's too early in the year to be in the 70's in the morning!!

I'm going for my annual physical this afternoon, then my brother is meeting me to see a movie. We're trying to decide between "Ghost Rider", "Act of Valor" and "Chronicle". I imagine we'll see "Chronicle", just because it starts earlier than the others, so we won't be out too late.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

This is so funny to me!!! People up north for the most part get to hating the snow by late winter, while weather buffs like me in the south would give thier left leg just to see a few inches of the white stuff!! I am sure I would grow to hate it if I had to shovel it off the roof,or the driveway every morning before I leave!! by far the worst for me would be the drive on the slick road surface...!!! I am glad you lucked out this time though and from the long range forecast even the northeast looks like winter could be over this year!!

Awww!! We have 7 stray kitties that live outside of mine and my neighbors house. I am not sure if they can be called strays anymore because between my neighbor and I we got them fixed and shots and they are fed VERY WELL by both of us. We also sit outside all the time and pet them.

Anyway, they scratch at our windows all the time. I will look out and they are looking right back at me. My 2 cats love to look out at them too and seem very interested in the cats living out there. I am not sure who is jealous of who. The stray cats wanting to come in or my cats wanting to go out! =)

Perhaps it was Binger in the kitchen with the coffee maker.

2 inches of heavy, wet snow mixed with some freezing rain - it isn't over yet. Now the storm is extended through Saturday morning. Local weather crews are saying it is still heading your way.

Good Winter Wonderland morning, MMC!

We are in the midst of a storm - schools are shut down all around due to the icy road conditions. Sleeting out right now, but it is far worse south of where I live. The good news is that it is absolutely beautiful out!!!

Have a MERRY day and stay safe!!!

Here I am again in a little bit of a rush and only read a few things on here. I try to log in here off and on through the day but just don't get to do much. Sorry! Will try to catch up sometime! Got lots to do today and this weekend.

The weather here has felt like spring! I guess winter has passed us right up.

Anyone who is not feeling well I hope you get well soon.

Tomorrow night is The Greasy Skillet Show by our own RadioJonD! I hope you all can tune in!

Take care everyone!

Good Morning, Happy Christmas People! We had our first thunderstorm last night, complete with hail. I LOVE thunderstorms, and I was enjoying every minute of it. We may get more today; it's already raining. The sky is full of lovely gray streaky clouds (gray is one of my favorite colors), and it's supposed to get up to 70 degrees. I still think it's too warm for this time of year, but at least there are thunderstorms.

I love this!!! Our cat does something similar. If we are asleep and she wants us awake, she reaches out with one paw and taps us on the cheek. She continues until we wake up.

From 1964 to 1977, we had a delightful female black and tan miniature dachshund we named "Coco".

I second that, Brad. Lucky girl!

No, you can't do that w/ Verizon. =(
I asked a few months ago when I was having issues w/ my phone. I could've got an iphone again for next to nothing, it was actually cheaper that the piece of junk I have now, but you have to do the data plan. Bummer!!

Excellent news that you're feeling much better! Hope you get lots of rest & relaxation this weekend. Maybe Cat is helping!
That's so sweet that he tapped on your window like that. Must cherish your friendship!
