I am really not enjoying what I call a job anymore. I feel used and unappreciated. I keeping getting asked to do extra and then do not get paid for it.(I was told it was expected because it is the nice thing to do) There is an excellent conference coming up for caregivers, my boss asks the therapist to go (she could not) but for some reason she does not think I am good enough to go. Makes me wonder why I do what I do.
I was kept so busy I now have to miss the volunteer BBQ where I was to be presented with my 15 year pin and certificate.

OK, I whined enough, thanks for listening.

{{{Christmasstar}}}, I will keep you in my prayers - I hope things will work out for you soon!

A late Friday hello to everyone ... :hi:

The workweek is not quite over ... gotta work from home tomorrow morning before driving up to the North Shore in the pouring rain for an appointment early in the afternoon. Then working from home again Sunday morning if the client wants to make changes. Bleh. I hate having to set my alarm clock on a weekend.

One cool place I need to visit is a newer consignment shop / antique shop / tea room in town. My in-laws checked it out & raved about it. They said they found lots of vintage Christmas! And it over 12,000 square feet...anyone want to go shopping?!?

ME! :???:

star, i think you answered your own dilemma. it's really bad when someone works so hard & "they" just expect more & more. you are too good a person for that.

Hope you have a nice weekend, regardless! And that you don't get any changes from your client Sunday morning

girl i dont blame you for feeling the way you do. who told you it was the nice thing to do ? yes of course its nice to help at times. but there is a limit to everyones kindness and i think your wel over the limit..
i think they are taking your kindless and playing on it. ther is a saying . there is people willing to work and there is people willing to let them!!!
Maybe it about time you said no. in this world it seems to be, the nicer you are the more your made a fool out of.. an just saying that about everyone in general.. i dont think you are being treated fair.

Hello my Christmas friends! I haven't been around for probably a good 6 months and for that I apologize! For those that remember me, I've missed you all. To those that I don't know, hopefully I'll be around a bit more often and can get to know you.

I could try to catch up on the last 6 months, but I don't think there is any way to catch up on this many posts. Ya'll have been busy! I think I'll just jump right in and try to keep up from here on out.

The only major thing happening in my life is that I found out in December that I was pregnant and due this coming August. In March, we found out that our little baby is a girl! Well, 2 weeks ago, we found out that our little girl was going to be making an early entrance to this world! I went to my regular OB appt and after the regular checks, I was told I had pre-eclampsia and needed to go straight to the hospital. After 3 days of strict bed rest at the hospital and multiple blood pressure spikes that put me in danger of a stroke, they delivered our little girl, Charlotte Mae, by emergency c-section on May 18th at 28 weeks gestation. She weighed 1 lb 15oz at birth and was 14 inches. She is tiny, but she's a fighter!

Little Charlotte is doing great. She's in the NICU and will be for 2-3 months. But she was only intubated for 24 hours and then was taken down to just having a little bit of oxygen flowing through a nasal cannula. They are hoping to have her off of that in a week or so. Her only complication so far has been a heart murmur that they treated with medicine and it has already healed up. She really is doing great and her only focus at this point is to grow, grow, grow! At 2 weeks old/30 weeks gestation (tomorrow) she is up to weighing 2 lbs 2oz. We've got a long way to go still, but so far we are great!

Anyways, I look forward to getting back involved and seeing how each and everyone is doing. I have missed having the every day reminder of Christmas in my life - although my older DD keeps it very real and is clearly taking after her mama in her love for Christmas!

~Laney

Welcome back!!! Nice to see you here again. Congrats on the baby, I will keep Charlotte in my thoughts.

Looks like the storms are pretty much over. Just got a lot of raining and some flooding. Thanks for thinking of me everyone. Headed to bed for a nap before work. Goodnight!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! Is it really June already? Wow. That means Hobby Lobby should be putting Christmas stuff out soon and QVC should be releasing their compete Christmas in July schedule in a couple of weeks.

I wonder if Comcast will be doing Christmas In July On Demand again this year, that was great last year to turn on a show or music video whenever you wanted.

That is so cool! I've never seen a Goodwill store w/ a specific Christmas section. Do you go there often to check it out?

The one by me has a good sized section, they moved it from a smaller section. I go there at least once a month.

SO nervous... tornado warning for my county but it's like 2 towns over (15 min away). Only 10 min left and I am scared! My husband is not home yet because it's PHilly Beer Week and he works in a microbrewery!!! He said he is very close... scary.

Good evening,

One year ago today our lives were forever altered by Mother Nature, it still seems like yesterday to us. [youtube_browser]6MFcYwPXAO0[/youtube_browser]
This video was filmed, I believe right next to our favorite ice cream place. That monster missed our house by less than 1/4 mile, we were so lucky. We were always told growing up tornadoes can't go over mountains, as you can see my town is nothing but mountain. I don't think I can believe that anymore. cheesy
A shorthanded day at work today, I am exhausted, one more day until a day off.

Have a good night all.

xmas365, I was thinking of you today and how devastating that was.

Thankfully, the warning has expired and they say the storm has weakened here. PHEW.
