Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had our June council meeting last night. Everytime I think it'll be a short meeting, it runs for 3 hours. I like to kid and joke about being mayor, but sometimes, even in a small town like Bellville, there are required duties which are not very enjoyable. We have a couple water customers that haven't paid their water bill in several months. We've tried to give them the benefit of doubt, and we've talked to them to no avail. We had to order their water cut off. I don't like doing that, but I know the people in question. It's not like they can't afford $20 a month for city water. They just don't make it a priority. They're about to, though. Paying the water bill to the city may not seem important, but when the city stops service, it will be. I hate it, but it's not fair to all the other citizens who pay the bill. Oh well.

Tomorrow is Nancy's birthday, so I'm going with them to Jacob's regularly scheduled guitar lesson this afternoon. While we're in Statesboro, Elizabeth and I will "sneak" away to get Nancy's present. Then we'll take her out to eat tomorrow night.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I no you feel bad about about cutting of the persons water but as you say they can aford to pay it. and you have to think of the people that do pay.$20 does not seen a lot of money per month. in this world guess you have to pay the bills or you get cut of.
Happy birthday to nancy..

Hey Made..can you bring the karokee machine... the Pines' is still out and being repaired from ther fired twinkie episode...

YABBA!

Good Morning, MMC!!

How are you today?

It is still very windy here, with 60 mph gusts, dust blowing everywhere. Blah.
On a positive note, it has brought in a huge cool down w/ it
The high yesterday was 108, today it's only 87! Love it!
It's funny, though, I always wear a short-sleeved shirt, but have a cardigan or hoodie w/ me because I freeze in the AC. When it's over 100 degrees outside, 70 degree AC is chilly! Especially when it's kicking in constantly!

I have recently taken on more responsibility at work, so it's been busy & never dull. Lots of trial & error. The person that used to do the things I've taken on was let go, so no one to show me the ropes. Keeps things interesting!!

What's new with you, friends?

Harlowe & I are sending hugs to you all!!

Hope you all have a very happy Tuesday!!! Make it Christmassy!

hope things get better @ work for you. it's always better when someone's there to teach you 1st but....you can do it snowflake!!!

Another quick update on Snow in Texas. Everything is still looking good this morning and he should be headed home anytime now.

AWESOME! thanks for the update!! praying for them both.

happy b-day nancy!!! ya' know brad, unfortunately, that's usually how it is. the ones who can pay are the last ones to pay. i notice that in my work too, although water is much more important than flowers. lol!

20.00 dollars a month doesn't seem too bad; about average I would say around these parts. We seem to pay upon average anywhere's between 50-85.00 dollars every 3 months. Even though we are located in a suburb of Baltimore County, we are using Baltimore City Public water. Although, when my water pipe burst in the winter and it ran for 3 days un-noticed, I got a water bill several months later for 465.00 dollars; I about went thru the roof.....I pulled a Fred Sanford - Grabbed my chest, staggered backwards and said "It's the big one".......
Good afternoon, MMC!

The beautiful, sunshine-filled day is no more - now it is grey and cloudy out. I'm glad I got my errands done while the sun was still out - so nice to be out and about then! Stopped off at the local mission store and I found 2 Christmas books: Mrs. Miracle and A Christmas Wedding. I'm looking forward to reading them.

Work beckons, so I will wish all of you a MERRY day!!

wowser, what a find!

Good afternoon everyone! It's a pleasant day today, can't wait to get off work so I can go for a walk. Only two hours to go.

Hey everybody! The weather here was really crappy today - raining and cold, but it's clearing up now and should be nice the rest of the week.

We took the kids to Ripley's and EA and I bowled, while DH and DS watched. We went swimming in one of the inside pools after. We're now heading out to get something to eat, now that the kids have napped.

I will try to log back on later to catch up a little. Hope everyone is enjoying their evening!

sorry the weather isn't cooperating. hope the rest of the week is funfilled though!

good a.m. my fantabulous Christmas peeps!!!! how's it?

i'm really proud of him though!

Good Morning once again, Folks.

Wow.
Already to mid-week.
Already to another 'Pines Day visit.
Already to another Milestone!
<< Um....not quite yet, Crown. >>
True, little voice. But look how close:
Days to the Season: 160
Days to Christmas Day: 202
Day after tomorrow -- the 200-day Christmas Day Window!

Great day yesterday. Moderate temps, low humidity and no rain.
Doesn't get any better than that around here this time of the year.
I was hoping for a repeat today but there is a light sprinkle falling as I type this.
We stand at 60 degrees here, currently.

Allrighty!
Here it is. Another Shispering Pines open house Wednesday.

This being the first Wednesday in June, Carl has chosen the theme of "June is bustin' out all over" for this weeks bash.
Now, just what do you think that means?
(Remember, we are dealing with a narcissistic camel here.)
Yes, there will be a dart/balloon bustin' contest.
But, wait! What's that in the corner of the dining room?
Could it be -- no, surely not -- yes, it is!
A bust of Carl himself.
(Oh, Lord!)

Say. You have a Wonderful Wednesday, anyway Friends!

hey there shelliegirl!!!:hi: you sound a bit tired in your post. you mentioned that y'all were getting some rain....no better time for napping than a rainy day! (snore, snore, snore)

i hope you find time to rest doll! thinking of you!

Good Morning MMC!

Can't believe its wednesday already, i barely remember what i have been doing the last few days, but we are so close to the 200 day mark!

Cloudy and cool here today, i think we have now had our "Irish" summer!

Spirit

I have a doctor appointment mid-afternoon to get the lump on the back of my neck checked out. Hopefully it is nothing because I don't want to start the month off having to go to all kinds of appointments!

Hoping everything went okay with your appointment. Did you find any results out yet?

I'll keep you, your DH, and your towns people in my thoughts & prayers, sugar. Stay safe, friend.

And have a wonderful time on your trip!! Can't wait to hear about it!

Thanks! It just ended up storming really bad and was windy. The county next to me did have two touch down, but without too much damage.

We're having a great time!

Just checking in!

Hi Everyone...

Hope you are all keeping well and not suffering the mid year blues in the same way that I am - although listenting to episode 18 of the Merry Podcast and watching various Christmas TV specials over the weekend has helped!

Just back at work after an extra long weekend off for the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations - the celebrations were great and something that I think we will all remember here in the UK for a very long time...

Weather wise we have heavy rain with thunder & lightning storms as I speak here in on the NE coast - spectacular!

Please forgive me for not posting as regularly as I'd like - but believe me I check in on a regular basis to see how everyone is doing - I promise I will try to check in and actually post more often!

:busy:

Happy Pines Day!!!!

I hope you enjoy the peanut butter brownies I dropped off earlier. I'll be back later tonight. Be good!!!!!

:playing:

Oh...I just LOVE being here. I sure wish there was a HUG smilie!

So...my daughter-in-law is selling Avon now...and in every book there is something Christmas-related to buy! Oh ya...you better believe I buy

Last night I sorted through my Christmas bin. To explain...I have these ginormous plastic bins that I keep close all year long so that when I buy something Christmas-related or Christmas presents, I put it in these bins. That's the organizational nut coming out in me. Hehehe.

^^^ I love that, ChristmasHeart! ^^^

Our bedroom walk-in closet is mostly my Christmas village, shelves, floor, you name it. We have bins in the garage for decorations, but I hate having them out there. They get so dusty & whatnot, plus I can't easily reach them all. Next house we buy, I'm going to make sure to have indoor space for my Christmas stuff =) Maybe a whole room!!

HA! Sometimes I'll go through it...just because I know its my Christmas bins, and...well...I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!

I hope everyone had a super day - and an even better night! Sweet dreams (of Christmas)!!!

Hope you have a fabulous day, too!!

try calling her next time you want to talk!

^^^^^^

Hey everyone!

Just got back from my bike ride and had supper...now I'm sitting and watching the game fighting sleep. That's one things about exercising...it sure helps you sleep.

Sounds like a nice evening!!

Yes, exercise really does wear you out =] My husband, Adrian, had such a tough time falling asleep, tried everything OTC to help, teas, you name it. Nothing consistently worked. But he switched his mountain biking to the evenings, plus we usually take a walk too, and ever since he's never had any trouble.

Tomorrow....Pines....enough said.

I keep looking at the countdown. We are almost to 150 until the season...do you realize how quick this is about to go....I can't wait for the Ber months....

 Can't wait!!

Saw where Snowflake said Elf was on Thursday night.....I'm in!

Well, about to head out and read the rest of the board, but before I do I want SIT to know that I'm thinking about you....get well soon, friend.

hope things get better @ work for you. it's always better when someone's there to teach you 1st but....you can do it snowflake!!!

Thanks for the encouragement, merry!! I had one of those moments yesterday of "What did I get myself into?!"...lol

I know what you mean about space...I have completley finished off our attic with a raised floor with electrical outlets (so I can put a santa that lights up in the attic window ; that waves to you or a witch during halloween that lights up and is flying on her broom) and lights and even with that, I have it more that half full with Christmas and Halloween decorations. Last year I moved the other half down to the garage and now that is about a third full with all the blowmolds and large yard decorations, etc... that were getting to be too much to lug back and forth from the attic every year.

I keep telling myself, (and everyone else) that I need to start cutting back, but every year, I'll will either be in a store, or walking along somewhere or watching TV and something will catch my Christmas Eye and I'll say "I just have to have that or that will look cool in my yard...." 8-)
