hey everybody!!

just thought i'd share bruce's last 2 fb posts which is summing up his summer at disneyland paris

the first was this one a couple of days ago:
yesterday i saw cinderella, sleeping beauty and aladdin sitting outside the break room, cigarette in hand, discussing the eurozone crisis and the state of the greek economy.

the magic has officially gone

the second was about 20 minutes ago:
today i spoke to a little girl waiting in the queue for dumbo. She was dressed up like pluto; complete with ears and yellow face paint. She said she'd been waiting for a year to see pluto and give him a hug.

the magic is back. In force.

i'm so......."awwwwww"....... Right now!!!!!!!!

:d

Well I hope everybody enjoyed their fathers day as much as I did. My three little ones gave me some homemade crafts that I can sport on my bookshelf with pride. I then got to grill my whole family steak and corn on the cob for supper. Followed by an evening of watching the US Open, NBA finals and Red Sox/Cubs. Yes my finger is tired from working the clicker.

I told my wife that Fathers day needs to come more than once a year. I can get used to a day like this quickly.

I remember those kind of gifts, for many years I wore the most unique jewelry!

My husband is a huge scary movie fan, too, and he teases me about being a fan of Christmas movies AND scary movies- that they couldn't be on more opposite ends of the spectrum!

So, what are some of your favorite scary movies?
Off the top of my head...

Alien
Aliens
28 Weeks Later
Event Horizon
Paranormal Activity
The Descent
The Thing

What about you? :frankenstein:

Me too! I love Christmas movies, but I think scary/Halloween ones have to be my favorite!

I not much for horror movies but any movie that has John Wayne dying is very scary. If the bad guys can kill him, we are all doomed...

I have a question for those of you who are home owners......It may sound silly but....I have started looking at small homes and condos with the intention of buying early next year. If any of you are in a condo....Do you miss that you don't get to decorate the whole wide front of a house and yard at Christmas? And for those of you that are in a house...how much enjoyment does decorating your yard bring you? I found some really homey condos I really liked at a good price...but then it dawned on me that I wouldnt get to fully decorate at Christmas(and also that if we got a snowfall that only stuck to the grass, as we so often do around here, that i would miss it because my yard would be a parking lot haha.) I would appreciate all of your opinions..Thanks!

We are home owners, I love Christmas, but I only have pre-lit urns on the front porch & a Christmas yard flag. We live in the country & no one will see our decorations except the neighbors, who probably wouldn't care! We have one neighbor who puts a few things out the week before Christmas but that's it.

I forgot to say this earlier, but while we were at Myrtle Beach, there was a Christmas shop called: Christmas Mouse.

I was there last Tuesday & bought a sand dollar ornaments with two skating snowmen on it. DH actually chose that one!

Sunday, after church, all of us drove to Pigeon Forge for a late lunch and visited The Incredible Christmas Place. QUOTE]

Where did you have lunch? We live two hours from there.

We're back from our yearly family vacation! We pulled our camper to Myrtle Beach (long trip!). We had a good time, even thought it rained for part of every day except two. I thought of you all when I went to The Christmas Mouse & got a sand dollar ornament. Now that vacation is over, I'm ready for Christmas! I played Christmas music on the way to work this morning & I'm wanting to watch some animated Christmas movies too. Maybe I'll have some time later this week after I catch up on the mounds of laundry...

I had a great Fathers' Day weekend. Saturday, my son and I went to Atlanta to see the Braves play the Orioles. Sunday, after church, all of us drove to Pigeon Forge for a late lunch and visited The Incredible Christmas Place. While driving, we listened to the Braves/Orioles then the Dodgers/White Sox games on satellite radio and my wife never complained...

After several days of mild weather, I'm afraid summer is back. The forecast is for us to have highs in the mid 80s by the end of this week. One we take our family vacation in early July, I will be ready for fall.

Where did you have lunch? We live two hours from there.
You both are so lucky to live in and near such a wonderful place!!

Chuck Norris, too. He and the Duke could rule the Earth!

I know what you mean, Shellie. I actually took most of yesterday off and it was so nice! I hope that your week is off to a good start! Hugs to you and your furbabies!

Of course you both can join me!!! Caninemom mentioned she wanted to join in as well. Everyone may join in on the fun! :???: It's a possibility it will open sooner than September, I hope!

They are some of my favorites at Christmas time!!!

I hope you feel better soon! They say that a temp of 99 is considered low grade fever but for me, I feel HORRIBLE if it's anywhere near 99! My normal temp is usually at 97.

Yay!!!!

I hope you are able to get some rest!

Yay - I'll be there!
My normal temp is 97, too. If it gets 98.5 or above, I am very sick!

Hi MMC :)

Anyone else having site troubles today?

It has been unusually slow the past week or so - but I am still able to log on and post. I hope it starts working for you!

Late Sunday hello to everyone!

Thank you ... Mr. is spending this evening with FIL, then we'll be getting up early tomorrow to pack. I've already got packing butterflies. I don't have fear of flying, but I DO have fear of not getting to the plane on time or forgetting to pack something vital, even though I make a list and check it twice (just like Santa).

Have a safe and happy trip, MerryCarey and Mr.!

Good afternoon, MMC!

We had a nice two hour-long rain - can't really tell as the ground is still dry, but every little bit helps!

The groundhog has 5 babies - they are so cute! Of course, they keep eating my sugar snap peas and pole beans. I have to figure out a way to keep them out of the garden w/out hurting them. Scarecrows and daisy spinners don't seem to be enough to deter them.

I got all my laundry done this morning and finished the book I started yesterday. I read until I was too tired to read any longer. That book was so good! Found a few things for the store at GW, too. Tomorrow I go to the Mission store to hunt and on Thursday, there is a church rummage sale I like to go to every year - you never know what you will find!

It is going to be very hot and humid the next few days - good days to stay in and work on the computer in the afternoon and evening.

Have a MERRY day!!

:sparkle:

Hey merry! Welcome back, we missed you!!! Sending ((hugs)), I know how tough it is to say goodbye to family. It never gets any easier. xo

Monday is a great day! Start of a another good week!!!

My granddaughter (almost 3 years old) just got here. She is so cheerful every morning when her dad drops her off. Very talkative and so sweet. She gives Wayne and I a chuckle with some of the things she says.

My chihuahua, Meca, who is 11 years old, just loves my granddaughter. She usually don't care for kids too much but just adores her! My granddaughter calls my dog her BFF! Ha ha! She even came in our house one time with a BFF t-shirt and said, "Meca needs one of these shirts too so we can match". Meca always comes and sits with her every morning.

My grandsons are in Day Summer Camp and I pick them up in the afternoon after they get out.

I hope you all have a MERRY MONDAY!

How cute! Have a MERRY day!!

Going to be a hot and muggy week here.

Good evening, Christmas family

I hope all the dads on MMC and everywhere had a WONDERFUL day. You all deserved it so much !! I am so sorry I am late posting this. Today was not a very good day here and I was quite preoccupied earlier. Both our vehicles are now down so we have none and we found out that there is a very good chance that my husband's health plan is going to stop covering spouses soon so that means I will have no health insurance.

I do hope all here are well and that today was a really good and special day for all xo

Positive thoughts and prayers are on the way!!! {{{CM3 and Hubby}}}

Good evening, MMC!

:???:

I got a job interview!
Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. It is at the subway in a town a 10 min drive from here. Full time hours (hoping that means days Mon to Fri)
