Good afternoon, Christmas family!

I hope you are having a MERRY day!

Ugh. I bought a bag of those Sweetarts Hearts and I can't stay out of them! My mouth is raw from eating so much candy!

I did the same thing when Sweetarts came out with Ducks & Bunnies for Easter and Christmas Bells at Christmas. Help me!!

I watched A Muppet Christmas Carol last night and this morning I am drinking coffee out of my Christmas mug while my table top tree is lit up. Ahh... Life is good!
See you all at The Pines!

Yes, Life is GOOD CAH!!

So I have a question for all of you Christmas lovers.

I asked my girlfriend last night if she was going to get tired of all of my Christmas talk. She says "as long as it doesn't go until the summer" and laughs. I'm like of course it is.

She responds as long as you keep it to yourself. I don't want you to ruin Christmas for me. What she meant was, she wants the "special" of the once a year part to remain. Then she says "make sure you don't ruin it for yourself, as I know how much you love it."

So finally the question.

I always keep Christmas with me all year. Everyone that knows me knows that I'm a Christmas fanatic. I generally keep it internal and not as active though. This is the first year I've been here and that I plan to keep it with me of every second of every day. Those of you that are vetarans, does the "special" leave, just a bit, because you are living it all year long and not just for 2 or so months out of the year? I think I know what the answer is but I'm just curios of your insight.

iliam... Christmas for me has never lost it's magic (or its special feel) no matter how long or how much I celebrate it. I know it took a couple of years to "Break" my husband in. He didn't even put up a tree when he was single. Slowly it became special to him as well, to the point now we decorate the tree to Christmas Music and he LOVES the movie Christmas Vacation, he will even watch it in July, with me. As I said it took a little while, we have been together 11 years now. And I do not keep a lot of Christmas up, I have a special Santa (that he gave me), my English tea set of Santa, and an Egg Nog Set out all year. He has come to embrace my joyous expression of Christmas although in the beginning he was a little embarrassed, or overwhelmed by it. But now he says it just wouldn't be the same without your over-joyous expression of the Season. My endless planning through out the year, or my occasional flight of fancy when I talk of things Christmas.

What I guess I am trying to say is that your significant other may not understand your feeling or emotions of this season but give her time love has a funny way of making two people embrace what the other holds dear.

No, that special feeling will not fade or be lessened IMO because of your outward love of this season throughout the year, but only make it stronger and better.

Who knows maybe she too will one day embrace Christmas as much as you.

Oh I nearly forgot.........Looks like Carl may have been watching too many super hero movies !!

Wow, Carl sure is a Super Camel but who knew he was this SUPER... but maybe I should have known!!!

Hello Christmas family! I've been missing for a while and I've tried to scroll through and see what's been up, but I have just been so busy lately! I did see that DAWG finally has a son - congrats to you and I hope everything is going well! Also glad to see another Penn State fan in jennifer! Yay for that! :)

DF and I have not even tried to take down our Christmas stuff yet! We have just been really busy, but he says we're doing it this weekend. It always makes me sad to put everything away, but it will be nice to have some space back in our house.

My last day at Hallmark was last week and while I'm sad to lose the discount (lol), I've been way less stressed since then. I think it'll really hit me in July when all the Christmas stuff will come in how much I miss my job. But at least I have some good friends that still work there that can help me cope with the "loss", haha.

I went to a bridal expo on Sunday and had a great time! We went there looking for photography, a photo booth, entertainment, and flowers. I ended up finding very good and very inexpensive entertainment and a photo booth, which just made my day! I also won free wedding photography on the day of my wedding (plus an engagement shoot, holy cow!) by entering a drawing and I am BEYOND excited! DF and I are meeting with her next Friday to hammer out the details and see her work, but this is going to save us SO MUCH MONEY! =D =D I really didn't think I would win anything, even though my bridesmaids signed me up for EVERYTHING there, so it was a great surprise! I'm hoping I can still win some other stuff because I don't think all the vendors have picked their winners yet, lol.

This week, I need to make more calls for vendor set-up appointments (we are going for food tasting next week, and booking a meeting with the entertainment and photo booth people from the expo) and finish the laundry that has now become a mountain! I'm really excited for next Saturday, as DF, our best friends, and I are going to the King of Prussia mall near Philly. Square foot-wise, it's the largest mall in America and second in amount of stores only to the Mall of America. We haven't been there in almost 2 years, so I am over the moon about going! Of course, in the midst of all that, our Christmas tree and decorations will come down, so I will need all the excitement and good news I can get!

Hope everyone is doing well, and I hope to be around more now that I'm back down to one job again. Also wanna shout out and say GOOOOOO GIANTS this weekend! :)

I think it's really just finding a balance for yourself

I agree with Snowflake. There are some of us who listen to christmas music all year and some of us that just listen to it during the season. The same way with movies. It's just about figuring out what works best for you. I'll probably take a break from christmas music for a while this summer so I don't get burnt out on it. There are also certain movies that I watch all year but then there are a few that I won't watch expect for during the season. That helps me keep the season special but also let's me get my christmas fix the rest of the year.

Hey guys! Great day today....received official word of a $150,000 grant for our school. I'm stoked. Going to be able to do a lot of good things for our kids. I couldn't be happier.

Congrats! You guys will be able to do wonderful things for the kids and the school! :???:

I went to work and lasted just over 2 hours, my foot is in too much pain. I have a Dr appt. at 5:30 tonight to see what is the issue.

I'll be praying that it's nothing major.

Sorry to hear. Good luck at the doctor!

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful day so far. I met my cousin for some lunch before heading to classes this afternoon. My mom has an appointment tomorrow with the specialist to see if they can figure out what is going on. Probably won't know much unless she has tests done.

I think this has been the longest week of my life and it's only Wednesday!

Xmas365 - I will pray that you can have some relief and figure out what is going on. Hope it is nothing serious!

Good Morning, friends~

Happy Pines Day!!!

I just had to laugh at myself after reading about the Christmas clock xmas is thinking about buying...I just realized that I forgot to put away my Thomas Kinkade Christmas carol clock!! It has been going off every hour on the hour for the past two weeks, and it didn't even cross my mind :) Maybe that's because I love it so much and it's not normal for it to be put away! lol

My poor little Harlowe is still not eating, hubby managed to get her to take a few bites of roast beef, but that's it. Going to call vet today.

Anyways, just a quick hello this morning before getting ready for work.

**Thinking of you, C~ Hope your appointment goes well, know that we are all praying for you & keeping you in our hearts! xo**

See you all later at the pines, I'll be ready for a cold one!

:tree:

Still keeping Harlowe in my prayers!

I was supposed to sub today, but they cancelled the job last minute, and I had turned down other jobs because I thought for sure the job I had wouldnt be cancelled. I really wish schools wouldnt cancel last minute because now I'm not working at all today. I guess I will just read some and relax.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you still had a good day!
