Good morning,

I got my cuckoo clock, 75% off I just paid over $7 for it, it was originally $30, so I am psyched. I am in a lot of pain today, I have plantar fasciitis so my foot/heel always hurts, but last night bringing the garbage to the curb, I felt something in my heel "pop," my foot is swollen and it really hurts even when I am sitting down. I don't know if I will be heading to work yet, since I am on my feet all day long. I may take it off to rest my foot I don't know yet though. I will be sitting here for a couple hours.

Sounds like you should have a doctor look at that, xmas ... that doesn't sound good with the swelling and pain ...

Good Morning Everyone! Hope everyone is in good spirits today!
Another week that is dragging on, January always seems to go so slow compared to how fast November and December fly by. Not much new for me other than I don't feel too great today, sore throat, voice is about gone and feel like I have a little bit of a minor cold, no big deal really, gives me an excuse to take a day to stay home and catch up on stuff some!

I am so far behind on this thread but I'm working to catch up as much as I can.

Just got done taking the tree down. I did not put it back up in the attic,I just stored it in the bottom of the downstaires closet. Next year it will make it so much easier for fast put up too. Now I am enjoying the extra space. We are getting ready to eat chili and donuts for dessert! Have a good night everyone!

Good morning MMC!!!!

What a busy day yesterday was....

Hey Sugar PA is a HUGE state, I wasn't quite sure what area you are in. But, my it sure was beautiful. We went to Jacobsburg Park, the trails are easy, we are in training mode right now. In two weeks we will go back to PA tho the Appalachian Trail - Lehigh Gap. We are staying local this week due to the Football games. We are doing the trails in Montauk, NY we interconncet a few to make it an all day hike. We start out at Camp Hero and work our way through the Paumanok Path. It is wonderful this time of year, we try to see if the Harbor Seals are around too. For some reason when I am out there it reminds me of Christmas Time, like when you see those male Cardinals, and the holy the beauty is second to none, but I say that about most of my hikes!!! I just love being outside, wonders never cease to amaze me.

No problem! Yes, it is a huge state. Hope you have a nice time when you come back!

Iliam this is a great post, one that I'm sure most of us can in some way relate to. Outside of this site, I don't personally know anyone who loves and embraces Christmas the way I do. Most would call me a nutcase but that's ok. I wouldn't lose this feeling for anyone or anything. I respect the feelings of others but that doesn't stop me from enjoying, loving, and looking forward to Christmas it every day of the year. It's a feeling, a state of mind, not just a season. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't this the truth. I totally feel the same way. I am so glad that I found MMC last year. I haven't really had the PCB's this year and I just love Christmas even more and more. I thank God for MMC and all the people here.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Season! Im down about Christmas being over and I know I havent been around much. I just posted a thread about what has been going on the past few months. I need to have another surgery (hysterectomy) in a few weeks and Im really down about it. I hope to be posting on more of a regular basis again, I have missed you all!

Good to hear from you! I'm sorry to hear you have to have more surgery. I'll be thinking about you and praying for you. Hope once you have you're surgery, we'll be seeing more of you.

Yeah, we were just kidding around about politicians breaking promises. I actually don't consider myself a politician, since it's not what I do for a living. I started kidding around about getting the position, then I realized you all might be getting tired of reading me talking about it...


Then we stared joking around about it...

I thought the bolded part was funny, so I tried it out...

...and CAH continued the joke I started...

I hope no one misunderstood. CAH and I were just joking about politicians in general breaking promises, and there was nothing personal against me. CAH and I are too good of friends for anything like that to happen. It's pretty funny to me!

Ugh. I bought a bag of those Sweetarts Hearts and I can't stay out of them! My mouth is raw from eating so much candy!

I did the same thing when Sweetarts came out with Ducks & Bunnies for Easter and Christmas Bells at Christmas. Help me!!

Sometime during the last day or so we ran over 400,000 (Posts: 400,450 right now) total posts here at MMC. We are making a run for half a million at a steady rate!

MMC rates as third in activity of forums of which I am a member. The other two are non-Christmas.

My last day at Hallmark was last week and while I'm sad to lose the discount (lol), I've been way less stressed since then. I think it'll really hit me in July when all the Christmas stuff will come in how much I miss my job. But at least I have some good friends that still work there that can help me cope with the "loss", haha.

I also won free wedding photography on the day of my wedding (plus an engagement shoot, holy cow!) by entering a drawing and I am BEYOND excited!

As I am sure you will miss your job, in the end, like you said, it will probably be better for you. Good luck with all of that.

I went to work and lasted just over 2 hours, my foot is in too much pain. I have a Dr appt. at 5:30 tonight to see what is the issue.

Good luck at your appointment. It was probably a smart thing to just head home from work. Give us an update when you find out what is wrong!

I agree with Snowflake. There are some of us who listen to christmas music all year and some of us that just listen to it during the season. The same way with movies. It's just about figuring out what works best for you. I'll probably take a break from christmas music for a while this summer so I don't get burnt out on it. There are also certain movies that I watch all year but then there are a few that I won't watch expect for during the season. That helps me keep the season special but also let's me get my christmas fix the rest of the year.

I am that way with the movie, It's a Wonderful Life. Even though it is my absolute favorite movie, I just cannot seem to watch it any other time than during the Christmas holidays itself. I might watch it at other times during the year but that is rare. Also the same with A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart. I will watch other versions throughout the year. I watched Muppet one last night! =)
