Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good evening,

We went and saw "The Dark Knight Rises" one word: Awesome!!! It was almost 3 hours long but it was a great movie, can't wait until it comes out on DVD now. Our cable box died today, they are coming to replace it tomorrow, so my Christmas shows will be gone until I can record them again in December. I am so angry at the cable company for not replacing it on Saturday when they were here to deal with the same problem, and then they get my appointment time screwed up when I talked to them they said they would be here between 8-9am, I got my verification email and it said 1-3pm. So now it is 11-1pm. Go figure!

My apologies for not keeping up on here but I am trying. As I mentioned I have been busy and now I feel like I am coming down with something. Blah! So that means I am moving in slow motion today. I am sure I will be just fine. A good nights sleep will do the trick!

The good news is that my son-in-law ended up getting off early today so I am going to lie down for a bit because the rest of the week will be super busy.

I see you are feeling rough today, Caninemom. I hope you get well soon!

hey'y'all! i'm NOT gonna tell y'all how good my supper was tonight. i'm NOT gonna tell y'all we had fried chicken, butter beans, fresh tomatoes, & biscuits. nope i'm not gonna tell y'all nothing.
seawaters would get me good if i did that.

ya' know i am really getting amped up for Christmas. i can't do any shopping for Christmas yet because the 1's i buy for are interested in one thing now & something else the next second. oh well, i have been checking out some ideas for decorating my house......

Home from work, now I can get all my Christmas in July e cards sent out!

Got a card in the mail today, Thank You so much Made582! Love it.

Christmas in July eve....

Twas the night before July 25th
and all through the house
Mosquitoes were buzzing and being a pest
The air conditioners were all turned up high
in hopes that humidity would soon go away

The children were camped out in the yard
While visions of ghost stories danced in their heads
With parents flaked out enjoying the peace
had just settled down for a nice long sleep

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my bed to see what the kids were doing now
I ran to the window and opened it wide
and could hardly believe the sight that I saw!

the camp lantern shining bright on the side of the tent
gave an erie glow to all the light reached
when what to my surprised eyes appeared but
all the kids in pyjamas pointing at the sky

I looked in amazement at a sight to behold
a sleigh made of gold being pulled by a bull!
A fat jolly small man sat in the sleigh
yelling out in a voice filled with joy and excitement

As I listened he yelled to the kids down below,
What , you were expecting Santa, its only July!!
He laughed and he laughed and then turned with a wave
as he tossed about candy and cookies for all

Do not worry or fret he called out to all
Santa will be here in just a few months
So be good and be kind and go back to bed
and Merry Christmas in July and to all a good night!

Keeping you close in thoughts! I hope your last one goes better than expected & you can bust out of there & never have to deal with that again! Seems like just yesterday my brother went through it - that has been almost 2 years ago & (knocking on wood) he is cancer free & doing very well!!! I wish the same for you!!!

I am just so annoyed right now. I don't understand why professors always feel the need to have "group" projects.

I got partnered up with someone at the beginning of the semester in June. Mind you, this is an online class so I have no contact with him aside from the computer. During the first week of class, he didn't answer my email or my post in our team discussion forum. The second week of class, he dictated what work he was going to do and what I had to do. I did my part and it was correct, and his was all wrong. So throughout the entire semester, I suddenly stopped hearing from him and he wasn't doing his work. I had to fix his entire portion and do my own. There were 11 different financial analysis' for us to do in Excel - I had to do 9 of them while he did 2 (which still aren't done, mind you!) Then we have to type a massive paper summarizing these financial analysis' which is due tomorrow. I typed fourteen pages myself while he did nothing.

I am in the worst mood. It's not fair being stuck in a team with someone when they don't contribute. My teacher told me to "stick it out" - well gee, thanks. I don't want a bad grade so I have to do his stuff, too? On top of that we have quizzes, tests, homework, etc.

Now I am totally drained from doing that huge paper and I have a headache. Oy vey!

One of the things I hated most in school were projects as part of a team.......I hope things get better Jennifer xoxo
