Christmas Countdown - 2012

Seawaters, I have always done the responses individually, I have done multi in the past, rarely, I just don't like it. It should be how we all feel comfortable doing it, I am not offended by someone doing multi or individual, just do what feels best to you. The Countdown is blowing up right now just because it's the beginning, last year same thing happened and then it evened out.

We should have a movie night right here on the forums. Find a movie that most of us have and watch it "together".

Then have Merry Christmas Radio night and listen to it together. We should do that everyday anyway! =)

I know, it's not the same but hey, we are in this together. We must fight the blues the best we can!

Also look at Auntie's post in this thread. She posted some great ideas for fighting the blues.

I just barely made it to midnight. Okay, okay. I really didn't make it, but I heard our neighbors ringing in the new year. Does that count???

Had a great time last night with all of my friends! DF and I didn't leave our friends' place until 3am...we just had a blast talking with the one couple that we don't get to spend a lot of time with and it was GREAT! We played a lot of games all night, ate great food, tried some interesting drink recipes, and just had a great time together. 2012 is going to be a VERY busy year for our group of friends - DF and I are getting married, another couple is getting married (DF and I are both in their wedding too - I am one of the girl's maids of honor), one couple is having their first child, and another couple very well might be getting engaged (maybe). That's not counting all of the other weddings we are invited to from friends outside our main group, plus other babies and events going on. I'm really hoping for a great year and can't see why it wouldn't be one with all the good things coming!

DF and I have been watching football most of the day - makes for a great Sunday! Glad my Colts lost so they can secure the first draft pick, and right now I'm watching my long-time favorite team the GIANTS (sorry Cowboys fans here, I think I'm the only one rooting for the G-men tho! *sad*) beat up the 'boys! I hope they keep it up...I would love to see them go all the way! Also glad my favorite local team the Steelers secured their place in the playoffs! It's been a good day overall for the NFL (in my eyes, lol) and can't wait for playoffs to begin!

Signing off from here to focus on the game - hopefully rocking all my Giants gear will help them win! Take care, everyone! :)

another cake done and ready to deliver in the morning. This is just a plain slab cake, so nothing fancy.

It is snowing like crazy now!!! Pouring rain this morning, temp dropped 5 degrees since this afternoon. We are under a snow squall watch. Oh well, it is winter after all!

Have to go and take my daughter to work for the last time. Tomorrow she is back at school.
Then, I am going to bed.

Love the idea of a movie night!! I'd be totally game for that :)
 
Well Cowboy fans, 2nd half is going a little better, but we got a long ways to go. Going to watch the rest of the game from bed.

Hey, heck of a 1st day here! Teachers come back to work tomorrow, so I will see everyone tomorrow night.
 
I have a different feel on taking down the decorations- if they stayed up all year- they wouldnt be special... so, to put them away for 10.5 months.. just makes them more special when you put on some coffee and take them out again...

ohhh did someone day coffee??

Why hello all! New year new countdown thread! Boy oh boy I cant wait for Christmas 2012. Yes some may think we are crazy but what do they know eh? As Charlie Brown said. Good grief! Well I have been away for a bit. Whoops! But you all know, this time of year eh? Normally Id access the board and post away and read posts. That time was at work! lol yes at work. Now I am in training and I don't have the access to do that. Also its Christmas time. Busy busy! Weekend before Christmas I visited my Mom and we had Christmas there. Weekend of Christmas we stayed home and the in-laws came for dinner. This weekend we went to my Dads to celebrate it there. Busy time of year I tell ya! Santa, and my Wife were very good to me this year. Hope everyone had a merry Christmas. Now we can celebrate it all over again! How about that! This week the lights and tree will be coming down. For some reason I'm not sad. But I do know that in less then a year, 10 months, it will all come back again. I'm going to go watch a movie. Ill be lurking around for a little while! Also I never got my cookbook yet. I paid for it and ordered it. Still not here. Anyone else in Canada get theirs yet? Was supposed to be a gift for my Wife.
