Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had my first council meeting last night as mayor. It went pretty good, but it was hectic. The new clerk was there, and the old clerk was there showing her the ropes. The previous mayor came and sat in the audience chairs. I felt a little like I was in his seat! I think it'll be fine, I just gotta get used to the chair at the head of the table. And I promise this is the last time I bring up being mayor...LOL!

It's still beautiful weather here. Right now it's sunny and 60°, and it's supposed to get up the the mid-70's. Wow!

Yeah, STP (Small Town Politics) can prove interesting (hometown population 1200 here) so do keep us in the loop, Brad. You never know when you will need advisors!

If I were to talk about my job we would all just be bored together. Here is what happened on my last shift at the one from which I retired though. Some things I do not miss! (Okay, most things I do not miss!)

I know. I love the planning, too. It gets things accomplished plus moves the time along.

I know right :lol: and it bring Christmas so much closer for me, knowing I can post here. I picked out a few little crafts for the 8 to 10 year old for next Christmas, now I need to figure out something for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I love the planing stages for Christmas

Thanks Laurie, they were good and it's good knowing we'll always be there for each other. We jus celebrated our one year anniversary(dating) and I'm thinking a proposal will come this summer

Same title page as mine ... yours is probably the red-covered one but missing a dust jacket. If the publishing date is 1987, it has the same contents as mine. You've got yourself a good book there!

Awesome news. I finally got all the way through it last night. I loved the history and the stories at the end were an awesome surprise. I have some reading to do!

I can't say that my job was like that every day. However, to have something like that occur on the last shift perfectly illustrated my need for a change. Of course I immediately went back into a similar job with a similar tragedy or two before I was able to get out of it altogether. I’m stress free for a little over a year now!

Now I'll shut up about my occupational life past, present (unless you count this one which isn't really an occupation) and hopefully future!

Awful day today. I went to class and felt as sick as could be and had to leave before my teacher even showed up. Got some bad news when I got home. The doctors think that my mom either has bladder cancer or diabetes, neither which are good. It is always one thing after the other with health in my family. I really can't take it anymore.

Greetings friends. Tonight I was watching a Christmas movie (A Christmas Wish) on Hallmark that I DVR'ed on 11/26/11 for times like this. On occasion Hallmark puts the Christmas countdown in the lower right corner of the screen. Seeing 29 days left until Christmas sure brought back happy memories and put a big smile on my face. Can't wait to see it for Christmas 2012! Good night everyone.

I know I do that too, I have about 4 more to watch and I LOVE, LOVE seeing that display it makes me feel like I am back to that day again!!!! Ahhhhhhhh, the memories.

I had a major project at work today, took all day but got it finished. Day off tomorrow, planning to take down most of my Christmas decor. Everything is still on tonight though.

Everything is back to nornal here now. most went back to work yesterday and some was back during the week befour
2 pallets today just bathroom and household. and cloth,s tomorrow
Weather is ok this morning cold but dull and NO RAIN at the minute
Hope all is good with everyone .famly and furbabies.
My partner has to do the shop this morning as one of the girls has a driving lesson and the other one is doing network scheme. so am left to sort the pallets out with the guy that works with us. and being honest i cant work with him to well. as i wood have the thing done myself by the time i tell him and ! how will i say this ! he has a real hygene probelm .
