Good evening, MMC!

All of your well wishes really helped me for a great first day back. I never pictured myself saying that I actually enjoyed my first day of classes. I had the same teacher for each one, though, which turned out to be a problem because all he did was repeat himself. By the third class, I was ready to rip my hair out. I have one more new class tomorrow, a math one, and then that's it for my new classes. I think it will go well and my schedule is much better than I thought. I was intimidated to have three classes in a row, but they went by really fast.

School supplies and college textbooks are seriously so expensive that it is unreal. I bought 5 textbooks for my classes, (used ones at that!) and they came to over 600 dollars! Then tonight I had to run out for 4 notebooks and 2 binders and that came to 35 dollars! I swear I could buy myself some really nice jewelry with the kind of money I'm spending on these college textbooks! They cost at least 500 dollars per semester which is so so ridiculous if you ask me.

Thanks again for wishing me good luck because I had a really good first day back! Hope you all had a good Monday, too!

I now have 2 13 pound turkeys, 1 6 pound turkey breast, and 2 10 pound boneless hams in my freezer. So who has some good recipes?

If you decide to make one of the hams, buy Paula Deen's Sweet Bourbon Glaze. I am totally a ham lover and I like mine to be packed with good flavor. We just tried out the glaze this past weekend and it was the best ham I ever ate. There weren't directions on the bottle so we glazed the ham during the last thirty minutes. Turned out great! Even after a couple of days, the ham is just as good. I fried some for myself today for lunch and it was still just as good, if not better!

Yes, we do. The Elks do so much for kids!!! Quick story about yesterday. I went to pay for all the items I bid on. A guy came up to me and said, "I'll pay you $80 for that triple crockpot thingy." I said, "Okay." (I paid $50.) So that upped the proceeds to the scholarship fund!!!

It sounds like you guys have a lot of fun and do a lot of stuff at the Elks Lodge!

So this is the 1987 edition I have.

:cold: Quick and out tonight. Have a grand evening y'all!

8-) Just stopped by to let everyone know I caught the postman checking out the countdown on my writeboard in my office ... he's ready for another Christmas too!

Also, I'm growing a Christmas tree in my office. It's small, but growing. If it takes off like my awesome Bamboo, I'll be able to decorate it by the end of October. If not, I guess I'll toss some tinsel on my Bamboo instead.

Cue RJD for Manic Monday!!!

Good morning all! Another manic Monday eh?

I went to the DMV this morning to register my new car. I was expecting to walk out writing a $400 check. I only had to write $86. That was a good feeling as I'm still recovering from Christmas spending.

I hope everyone has a great Monday. We'll see you see later!

@shellie12-yeah everyone came home this morning(or sundaymorning). I'm so nervous anymore though I think I was just in a momentary panic.

Take advantage of Brandi's parents being there, let them help when they can, when they leave it will be a new world again, the most stressful time for us when we came home with our first, was putting the key in the door and both of us looked at each other and we both started bawling, because we were by ourselves, no nurses to help us, we went in unplugged the phone and took a nap with our new little bundle. Appreciate the help, but be sure to get the bonding time with you and Jordan.

Hi every one,
woke up today feeling absolutely horrible, so i knew right away i was staying home... i hope i will feel a little better in a while since i can't spend a day not working on my thesis...
i hope every one is doing well!

I hope you feel better.

Greetings from The Christmas house in Norway.
Here it's still snowing!!! :D

We have lost our beloved grandmother so we are going to
say our goodbyes to her this Friday.
It's going to be hard. We love her so much. And miss her terrible...

Hope everyone is doing fine!!

Lots of love....

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Good morning, everyone! Today is the day I have been dreading for a while now - the start of a new semester. I know it sounds silly since it's something that has to be done, but it still doesn't make it any easier! I am hoping that today goes well for me and I get this semester started off on the right foot. I don't know how I used to sit in school for seven hours! College classes seem like they drag on forever!

The good thing is that my three classes are fifty minutes each. All of my classes in college so far have either been an hour and twenty minutes long, an hour and fifteen minutes long, an hour and forty minutes long, or two hours and forty five minutes long. 50 minutes seems like a heck of a lot shorter, but 3 in a row is what bothers me!

Keep me in your thoughts today and wish me luck!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and that it flies by so we can get to the weekend and relax!

Good luck! You will be fine once you get in the swing of things again.

Boy, am I tired! But way to early to go to bed.
Maybe a jog in the cold air would wake me up, only I do not want to go out in the cold and get cold.
:cold:
Maybe a nice hot chocolate?

She is from District of Ardoyne, off Crumblin Road. Her late husband was from Falls Road. What does this mean to you??? She is Catholic!!!

AYE i know that part of the world if your taking to her again ask her what town she is from ???

Hey everyone! Just wanted to check in real quick before going to get ready for work.

I hope you're all having a great evening. I have a busy day tomorrow. I will get home from work around 8, DS has 6 month pictures at 10, then he has a doctor's appt. at 2. I won't get much sleep tomorrow, but it is worth it for my kids.

I will be on at some point tomorrow! Good night!

I'm all caught up again...we have been doing a lot of chating in this new countdown, haven't we?!

I know right  and it bring Christmas so much closer for me, knowing I can post here. I picked out a few little crafts for the 8 to 10 year old for next Christmas, now I need to figure out something for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I love the planing stages for Christmas

Good evening all.

Hope Monday was good for you.

It was a busy productive(which means went by fast) day for me. Got a big homework project done, "work work" and my blog has an official home now at www.cmascast.com.

I'm still not sure what Time-life book I have at home. I'll research it am let you know. The only thing I'm sure of is that it's different then the other two described.

Tonight it's enchiladas with my sweet sweet lady and maybe a little relaxing with some tv. She has been doing a lot of homework lately as her nursing school started last week. If this is a sign of things to come, it's going to be difficult. I already miss her!

Thx for the link to your blog. Yummy enchiladas, love them. I know it is tough but it sounds like you are both their for each other.

I now have 2 13 pound turkeys, 1 6 pound turkey breast, and 2 10 pound boneless hams in my freezer. So who has some good recipes?

I do and I will post the in the recipe section for you.

Quick and out tonight. Have a grand evening y'all!
