Losing stuff is okay - I just worry that she has no sense of danger and that she doesn't seem to learn from her mistakes. I'm just really thankful she didn't get hurt this time! Spunky indeed - her new nickname: The Palminator

Meceka... She sounds a lot like my Callaway (AKA Callie, Little Grey Babies, Little Big Claw, hmm I could go on)... She turned 4 in July and has not lost her "kittenish" behavior. She investigates EVERYTHING, has no sense of danger. I worry with the stove top a lot, I know she shouldn't be on the counter, yeah, yeah, yeah, but that is why they have Clorox wipes, right!!! But, I have to watch her, once she ate a little plastic baggie, I didn't even know it until she threw it up, sorry to be graphic!!! They can be quite a handful!! Tee Hee

Sugar, don't you just love it when your baby starts talking??? My granddaughter is 2 years old now and I just love to hear the conversations she has!

Yes, it is just the best. His first word was actually ma, which was hard to believe, since most babies say da first. He so attached to me. He only says ma though when he is fussy. He just babbles bababa or dadada all the time now.

EA is two and it is amazing the stuff she can do. I just love it!

How cute is that!!! Love it... Happy belated 6 months little one!!!

I cannot believe this!!! I really though they would roll right over Denver... That's the NFL for you...

Thank you!

I was hoping so too, but they just aren't the team they need to be this year. They have way too many injuries. The Steelers aren't Super Bowl material that is for sure and even though I am a diehard fan and I have faith, I don't think they would have beat the Patriots.

Oh my, The Palminator (love that nickname!) has been busy, huh!!! Glad she's ok, sorry about your ceramic pot though.. Hugs coming to her from Har & I.

***Hi Christmas Family!!!!!!!!!!!!***

I hope you are all doing well. I have been away from the countdown for a couple of days, I'm out of the loop, and not sure when I will catch up. Thinking of you all and sending hugs, though!

Harlowe was real sick toward the end of last week, and didn't start improving until yesterday. We were caring for her day & night all weekend, and spent a lot of Saturday at the vet with her. I'm not sure if she had a virus or what, but we had labs run on her again, they gave her a full exam, put her on fluids because she was dehydrated, and gave her a new prescription. She finally ate Saturday night, and kept the food down. Poor little thing, fingers are crossed that she continues to do well. I posted more @ this in the prayer thread, special thank -you's for those who were praying for her- shellie, sugar, C, CM3, Made, etc.!!

Work is extra crazy now, too. Is it Friday yet??? I want my weekend back!

Congrats again to dawg & Brandi!

Thinking of you & sending hugs, C~

Solice, so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. Sending you extra thoughts, hugs, and prayers.

For those of you are sick, get well soon!!

I have missed you all, hope life slows down a bit so I can be here more. Have a great week!!

xo

I had a super busy weekend, with all the cooking we had to do at the store, then all the preparation for the swearing-in ceremony yesterday afternoon. I have my first council meeting as mayor tonight...whew!

Good luck with your first meeting tonight!

I woke up with a migraine today so I am still trying to get my "sea legs". I dont want to take any of my prescription for it because I will be too woozy when it comes time to work. As the saying I saw on here says "This Too Shall Pass".

Hope you are feeling better. Ella sends you XoXo!

I know January is supposed to cold, but I'm rather enjoying this sunny, 73° weather! cheesy

I've got one word for you and that is JEALOUS!

I'm back to work today after being home sick Thursday and Friday (and the weekend, too). I'm finally feeling a little better, and I hope I can plow through some of these towers of paperwork that I found waiting for me. That's the only thing about working in a small office that I don't like. The other girls would like to help me out, but there are only 3 of them and they are busy with their own work. Oh well, looks like extra hours, and extra cash, for me!

All my Christmas stuff is still up, because I was too sick to take it down. Guess it'll be up till Saturday, at least.

Glad you're starting to feel better! Continue to rest when you can.

My inlaws are going to be here until saturday and my mom and sister's are flying in thursday night so our 2 familes will have a chance to meet for the first time. I can't wait until my dad can travel.... this past Christmas before the stroke and car accident they were planning on coming to my home for christmas but that gives us more to look forward to again this year at Christmas!!!

What a wonderful gift this will be for everyone involved! I hope you guys have a great visit!

Tonight's the night! I am getting ready to watch the BCS National Championship game in about three hours. Alabama v. LSU and it's gonna be a good one! Roll Tide!!

That should be a good game!

I'm all caught up again...we have been doing a lot of chating in this new countdown, haven't we?!

Going to go get read for a little while - DS is playing in his jumper and EA is watching a DVD.

I will check back in later!

Your Christmas decorations up a little longer, a welcome by product of your sickness;-)

Good evening all.

Hope Monday was good for you.

It was a busy productive(which means went by fast) day for me. Got a big homework project done, "work work" and my blog has an official home now at www.cmascast.com.

I'm still not sure what Time-life book I have at home. I'll research it am let you know. The only thing I'm sure of is that it's different then the other two described.

Tonight it's enchiladas with my sweet sweet lady and maybe a little relaxing with some tv. She has been doing a lot of homework lately as her nursing school started last week. If this is a sign of things to come, it's going to be difficult. I already miss her!

Okay tonight is the last night my tree will be up...the one and only reason it is still up is because I don't have the proper boxes to put it in..not that there is anything wrong with still having up your tree but I am a creature of habit,,,my tree is always down on the 1st or second of January. I have not had it plugged in since New years Eve I think. I promised Brandi I would take it all down when I get home from work tomorrow. I may watch the LSU ALA game tonight...not a fan of either team but I guess I will pull for AL...It's another sign the Holidays are over and it's the last college bowl game. Alot of people still have thier decor up here and that is always refreshing to me because down here people tend to be more by the book, so I like to see more and more decorating each year for halloween and thanksgiving, not just christmas..and I like to see decorations up past dec 26th!!! I am stuffed to the point when I breath I can hear the food sloshing around in my stomach.lol so I am going to go to bed my MIL said she would get up tonight with jordan since I have to get up at 5am to work...Brandi is doing good too,she is doing way more than I thought she should be though, but she is tougher than I thought I guess. Anyhow good night everyone...talk to y'all tomorrow!!!

I now have 2 13 pound turkeys, 1 6 pound turkey breast, and 2 10 pound boneless hams in my freezer. So who has some good recipes?

Send them to me. I will watch them and give you a synopsis!!! There are a few versions of Christmas in Connecticut. Was yours the Barbara Stanwyck one???

Took the last of the Christmas down yesterday.....kinda blah but really ready for the great coming year. One of my Christmas goals is to watch all of the stuff I have DVR'd and on VHS and DVD before next Christmas. I never make it. I have so much I am gonna have to start now and actually plan to get it done. Watched Christmas in Connecticut last night.....Had never seen that somehow.....was good! Anyone else like it? Also want a clearance unlit tree from K-Mart....if it is still there this weekend, gonna buy it....if not I will just wait and look forward to the fall to pick one out....
