HMMM...I love to eat at her restuarant in Savannah....actually almost every restaurant in Savannah is good...I am thinking about what to eat now for lunch.

Paula Deen is the best! I just bought one of her glazes for a ham the other day and it was honestly the tastiest ham I ever ate. It was a bourbon glaze and was so, so good!

Hey, all this talk of Georgia. Paula Deen is from there, ya'll!

I just love that lady and her whole family! I enjoy her shows especially at Christmas.
I've never eaten at Mrs. Dean's restaurant (it's always packed with tourists!), but I'm told by many people that my mother-in-law is a much better cook. It's hard to beat Mrs. Hilda's cooking!

Thanks guys! He is getting so big and doing so much now. Da, da, da is his favorite new thing!

How cute is that!!! Love it... Happy belated 6 months little one!!!

I made a big pot of turkey chili for dinner, one of the best I ever made, it had great sweet overtones, followed by spicy undertones, mmmmm. Sorry to brag. - That's all good, when you do something like this you HAVE to it is a law I am sure, or maybe I need to ask Bradmac?!?! Tee hee - I beat it is GOOOOOOOD.

P.S. All my lights and trees are still on. cheesy

YAY!!! Ours is down now...sadness...

So the Steelers lost! It was a good season. They honestly could have played better. There is always next year!

I cannot believe this!!! I really though they would roll right over Denver... That's the NFL for you...

Well I was supposed to babysit my niece tomorrow afternoon but she decided that she just wanted to come stay the night instead. So now I have a 3 year old little girl who is all hyped up on sugar (thanks to gramndma) running around my apartment. I have a feeling that it's going to be a long night.

See you are THE BEST UNCLE EVER!!!

I can't believe they lost it. Well hopefully Tebow can perform another miracle next week and beat the Patriots. I won't hold my breath though.

I sure hope Tebow can pull this one out...

I now have to listen to the sports radio around here on how easy it is going to be for the Patriots to win that game, and go to the Super Bowl. My ears will be bleeding. Arrrrgggggghhhhhh! Go anyone who can beat the Pats!

Um, I know of a team that can and has...... I sure hope it isn't a re-re-re-match!!!! I will surly be die of heart failure by the excitement and nervous alone!!!

I thought the Patriots was your team? I was so happy to see Big Ben lose. I do not like him at all due to his off-the-field activities.

I know I struggle with that too, I love the team tho - Steelers have a lot of history and they have some really good owners. It is a shame that Ben doesn't hold himslfe to the standards that he should.

Nope, I am a Cincinnati Bengals fan, I may live in New England, but I don't cheer for New England, I cannot stand the Patriots. The Red Sox & Bruins are my teams in MLB and NHL though.

Um... Both the NY Yankees and the Boston Boooo - ops sorry so sorry ***ahem*** Red Sox report 2/15/2012... YAY!!!!!

Feb. 25

Patriots are my team too :)

I am not a fan of New Englan but much respect for Brady, he is not only a team leader he is tough.

Tho it pains me to write that... So I will end with this GO EASY E!!!!!!

We LOVE you no matter what, you Georgia cracker, you!!! Southerners RULE!!! Sorry, my Northern friends!!!

Um SW.... I will have to argue with this now... Um, yeah I do think I will have too!!! OMG!!! SHE DIDN'T!!! And you all know how they say New Yorkers know how to argue!!!

HA, Ha, HA!!!! From a New Yorker!!!!

Got a little one hour nap...then woke up to major muchies...so ate some salsa and tortillas. Now just listening to old 80's music..that always makes me feel good!! I am sure I will be around more throughout the evening..hope everyone has a great night's sleep.!

Salasa, Chips, and the 80's!!! What an awesome way to spend your time!!!

Georgia cracker?? I have never heard that term before.lol believe me everyone down here thinks I talk like I am from California....I grew up in atlanta and lets be candid here...no way is atlanta a typical southern city..Savannah in the southern portion of the state has great southern charm and everyone has a southern accent. After the tech boom in the late 80's and all of the 90's Atlanta is more like 90% northern and western transplants...so it's nothing like the show Designing women would have you believe it is...anyhow I digress....I am going to use the term Georgia cracker at work and see what responce I get.lol

Tee Hee... Um, You mean all Southern towns are not like Designing Women protrayed?!?! Tee Hee

Ah, Monday. Darn.

But now one more day closer to the Season!!!

Greetings from The Christmas house in Norway.
Here it's still snowing!!!

We have lost our beloved grandmother so we are going to
say our goodbyes to her this Friday.
It's going to be hard. We love her so much. And miss her terrible...

Hope everyone is doing fine!!

Lots of love....

Sorry for your loss Solice.

Before the Braves moved to Atlanta in 1966, Atlanta had a minor league baseball team called the Atlanta Crackers.

Love little tidbits of trivia like this... thx

Good morning ya'll! It's cool here today & rainy.
Both my sons return to college today. They both go to the university in town. This is the 1st time there for my oldest. He was @ another playing football but....long story. He did not like the way the other place handled some of the "troubled players" & became very ill also. He's my blindside son-i've tried to blog the story w/ no luck. When i tried, it even told me it had to be less than 200 words among other things. Sorry just can't do it in 200 words!

Why not write in on your PC in word and make a few different posts I would love to read that blog?

Ughh, i had a gigantic bottle of liquid laundry soap on the shelf above the washer, heard a loud noise, omg....yep laundry soap all over the place. It fell somehow & now it's down the wall, the washer, & all over the floor. Brand new bottle too, used 1x. Hold on....................................................................................................well i scooped it up w/ pitchers, bowls, everything. What a mess!!

Love & hugs to all of you! I'll check in a little later!

I had sometyhing like that happen too, It is so hard to get up the liquid!!! UGH is right!!!!

[Brent
. Only 50 more!![/QUOTE]

Love this part of your post!!!!

what a way to clean the laundry room!

Tee hee what a good way to look at it!!!

Took the last of the Christmas down yesterday.....kinda blah but really ready for the great coming year. One of my Christmas goals is to watch all of the stuff I have DVR'd and on VHS and DVD before next Christmas. I never make it. I have so much I am gonna have to start now and actually plan to get it done. Watched Christmas in Connecticut last night.....Had never seen that somehow.....was good! Anyone else like it? Also want a clearance unlit tree from K-Mart....if it is still there this weekend, gonna buy it....if not I will just wait and look forward to the fall to pick one out....

I've always liked Christmas in CT, glad you enjoyed it!

Good morning all! Another manic Monday eh?

I went to the DMV this morning to register my new car. I was expecting to walk out writing a $400 check. I only had to write $86. That was a good feeling as I'm still recovering from Christmas spending.

I hope everyone has a great Monday. We'll see you see later!

Now that is a nice surprise!!! Good for you.

Military men are the best in the world! Just like my dad!

That is AWESOME!!!

My mother-in-law says, "Now ain't always".

This is too, what a GREAT mayor you are already!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had a super busy weekend, with all the cooking we had to do at the store, then all the preparation for the swearing-in ceremony yesterday afternoon. I have my first council meeting as mayor tonight...whew!

The ceremony went wonderfully, with several county officials attending, and neighboring mayors. Then we had a reception for the outgoing mayor. He seemed a little sad to be on the outside, all of a sudden. He'll soon come to enjoy relaxing and letting someone else (me!) handle all the problems associated with the office, though.

Now I need a vacation! Watch out, Smoky Mountains! I'll be there in four weeks!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I've never eaten at Mrs. Dean's restaurant (it's always packed with tourists!), but I'm told by many people that my mother-in-law is a much better cook. It's hard to beat Mrs. Hilda's cooking!
We ate there when we were tourist a couple of years ago. It was good but expensive. My son called it "church food" (just like what we have when we have "pot-luck" dinners at church). Glad we went once but we would probably not do it again. Like you, I feel my family's meals are just as good or better.

Hey, all this talk of Georgia. Paula Deen is from there, ya'll!

I just love that lady and her whole family! I enjoy her shows especially at Christmas.

OMG I love her and her family and their shows I have tried there recipes too!!!

Lauriebear, not sure if you noticed in the paragraph you quoted me but I did mention he is the father of my children. That would probably be why we still talk. We do have 3 grandchildren together too! =)

OK I must have missed that sorry...

Right you are! I've considered, lately, that it was a long time ago, and if she hadn't found another "man of her dreams", I wouldn't have the wonderful family I have right now.

This is so true, sometimes the worst thing at one time turns out to be the best thing.

Tee hee I like that "Church Food" too funny!!! I feel the same way, I've been to the Bobby Flay's Restaurant the Mesa Grill here on 5th Ave, I am not say he isn't a great chef I am sure he is, but I was not impressed at all in fact I thought the menu lifeless, and well the cooking was less then I expected, I thought flavors would really "POP" and it was flat. Very bland like they were cooking for a crowd to please everyone. When you go to a place like his I want to be WOWED like I was when I went to Gordan Ramsay's at the London Restaurant. But, I still love my cooking best and so does Hubby!!!

Solice, I am really sorry for your loss. I am sure your grandmother was a very wonderful and loving person. Praying for your during this difficult time xo

Good morning, everyone! Today is the day I have been dreading for a while now - the start of a new semester. I know it sounds silly since it's something that has to be done, but it still doesn't make it any easier! I am hoping that today goes well for me and I get this semester started off on the right foot. I don't know how I used to sit in school for seven hours! College classes seem like they drag on forever!

The good thing is that my three classes are fifty minutes each. All of my classes in college so far have either been an hour and twenty minutes long, an hour and fifteen minutes long, an hour and forty minutes long, or two hours and forty five minutes long. 50 minutes seems like a heck of a lot shorter, but 3 in a row is what bothers me!

Keep me in your thoughts today and wish me luck!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and that it flies by so we can get to the weekend and relax!

Good Luck Jennifer !!!! As brilliant as you are, you won't have any problems ! xo

It sound like you and Autie have a healthy sense of forgiveness. I've sort of struggled, especially lately, with the idea of forgiving my ex-wife. It's been a long time, but that kind of hurt take a long time for me to forgive. Her grandmother recently passed away, however, and I remember how close she was with her grandmother. I thought of offering condolences, but that nagging anger from 20 years ago keeps rearing its ugly head. We'll see.

I hear you about Anger, Brad. It can crop up when you least expect it especially if one was hurt badly (((Hugs)))

You'll be longing for these days soon!!!!

That is so true !!!

Anyhoo my 19 yr.old is @ the university too & has a full schedule. He needed 16 more credit hours so as not to have to go this summer he piled himself this semester. Sociology, marine biology, computer science, english, & 1 more i can't think of right now. God bless him-i hope he works hard.
Baby girl started her 2nd sophomore semester-it seems to me like she has her most difficult classes this time also. What up w/ that? All 3 of'em are gonna have me crazy by spring!!
I have so much to do today i don't know where to start but i do always love to start my day w/ you guys!

Ughh, i had a gigantic bottle of liquid laundry soap on the shelf above the washer, heard a loud noise, omg....yep laundry soap all over the place. It fell somehow & now it's down the wall, the washer, & all over the floor. Brand new bottle too, used 1x. Good luck to your kids going to college xo I hate it when laundry soap spills - UGH - I use liquid soap and it gets everywhere in a hurry and what a mess !! xo

I loved Christmas In Connecticut !!! It is a true classic just like The Bishop's Wife ! xo

That's great that you didn't have to put out as much as you thought !! I have a feeling at tax time we are going to owe a lot !! xo

Shellie, I also like anyone who raises money for stray animals and finds homes for them. I LOVE animals of all kinds!

Me Too CAH and Shellie !! That is one reason I campaign for polar bears even though they are not strays but they are in perile ! xo

Right you are! I've considered, lately, that it was a long time ago, and if she hadn't found another "man of her dreams", I wouldn't have the wonderful family I have right now.

I am so glad you have been blessed with your wife and children - you deserve happiness ! xo

CM3!!! I love you new pix, too cute put a smile on my face!!! Thank you :)

Good morning, Christmas family

It seems ever since I got my Ipod for Christmas I have not been here much. I must be old fashioned, I just find it easier to post with my laptop than my Ipod. For one thing, I have to make the screen bigger on it to begin with just so I can read the writing !

Not a lot going on today. Work in 2 hours. I have been almost begging my company to put me on radiology full time but they are ignoring me. Oh well. I am beginning to wonder if what they say about the squeaky wheel getting the grease is true.....:sad:We have a weird Winter as well. Not surprising in some ways as it seems all the seasons are warmer now and all have weird weather at one point or anothre. I hope we see some normal Winter weather soon !

I woke up with a migraine today so I am still trying to get my "sea legs". I dont want to take any of my prescription for it because I will be too woozy when it comes time to work. As the saying I saw on here says "This Too Shall Pass".

I am still missing Christmas music on Music Choice. For me, there just is not anything to listen to in order to replace it. We have MCR and it is wonderful but I would turn on Music Choice when I first woke up in the morning and listen to it as I went through the countdown but it's almost the middle of January and hopefully the Christmas music will be back before we know it!

Snowflake- Praying for your little (((Harlowe))). I know just what she means to you xo

Dawg - You and I have the same sleep problem ! I was awake a lot of the times last night when you were, I just wasn't logged on to MMC. Hope you get some rest.

Kerstig - I hope you are feeling better soon xo

Jennifer - Good luck at school ! I am sure you will be amazing ! xo

Harlowe, Ella, Snickers, Scooby, Sasha, Snowball, Gomez, Hobbs, Palmer, Mouse and all furkids - your cousins Clancy, Wish, Ivy, Smokey and Lily send great big (((HUGS)) to you and as well I do also !! xo

Take care, Christmas family xooxo

I know January is supposed to cold, but I'm rather enjoying this sunny, 73° weather! cheesy

Hey! Would you all just leave me the heck alone! I am trying to get some chores done around here!

You know I am kidding! This is actually a compliment to all of you at MMC. I rather be here than doing my list. It's a very nice distraction but I really need to get back to work!

I will not be back to check in for 2 more hours. Let's see if I really make it that long without having MMC withdrawals!

Yeah, Georgia cracker is a pretty common phrase. But, as you say, Atlanta is not a southern city. We crackers will be glad to make you an honorary cracker, though!
Break out the whips and wild boars!

(The term “Cracker” is not what you think.)

I'm back to work today after being home sick Thursday and Friday (and the weekend, too). I'm finally feeling a little better, and I hope I can plow through some of these towers of paperwork that I found waiting for me. That's the only thing about working in a small office that I don't like. The other girls would like to help me out, but there are only 3 of them and they are busy with their own work. Oh well, looks like extra hours, and extra cash, for me!

All my Christmas stuff is still up, because I was too sick to take it down. Guess it'll be up till Saturday, at least.

I would rather it be cold. Last winter was a lot nicer than this one. We have only had 3 inches of snow and 1 snow day so far. We had had over 2 feet this time last year. The forecast is finally calling for some seasonal temps stating Thursday.

OKAY, I LIED! I didn't make it for 2 hours without popping in! I still feel so wiped out from last week and from work yesterday. Taking an early break but will get right back to work in a few minutes! =)

I've never eaten at Mrs. Dean's restaurant (it's always packed with tourists!), but I'm told by many people that my mother-in-law is a much better cook. It's hard to beat Mrs. Hilda's cooking!
Mrs. Hilda should start her own show! I bet she can say "ya'll" real well!

OK I must have missed that sorry...
You know what is funny about me loving Paula Deen. I can't think of one thing she makes that I can eat!!! It's just stupid food allergies but everything she cooks looks really good. I still enjoy watching her shows. She has a very fun and sweet personality!

Don't be sorry for missing the post! I feel like I miss a lot on here. This is a very busy thread!

Monday (ugh ...)---Just checking in during a lull in the action at the office. One page at a time ... I need a bookmark to remind me where I left off. A long list of little to-do's at home that I hope will get shorter this week.

Hi every one,
woke up today feeling absolutely horrible, so i knew right away i was staying home... i hope i will feel a little better in a while since i can't spend a day not working on my thesis...
i hope every one is doing well!

Rest and take care of yourself---hope you feel better soon!
