Broken, trampled and scratched to bits - what a mess!

MerryCarey, regarding the Time Life Book of Christmas. On the book I got at the library does state 1987 inside. The library also stamped inside the book that it was shelved on January 7, 1988 so I think it is from 1987 and not a later release.

Just curious if you know if they used 2 different covers or I don't have the right one? Sorry, I'm not too bright when it comes to books being released and not sure how that all works.

Trying to brainstorm this one for those looking for this book because CM3 only found the copy I have. Not that this is super urgent but inquiry minds want to know.

I can't swear to this, but ...

From what I've seen, there seem to be two editions of the 1987 book, with the same contents but with different covers. One is the one I have (white cover with Santa Claus, no dust cover), and the other one (red cover with a collage, including the Santa from the white cover). I think they have the same contents. I saw a listing for the red one on eBay that had photos of the inside of the book, and the contents in the photo were all in the white one.

Online searches for the 1987 edition(s) sometimes mention "with songbook." My book doesn't have a separate songbook---but I got it used, so the songbook may have been lost. Maybe one edition came with a songbook and one didn't?

Bottom line is: I think the 1987 Time-Life Book of Christmas came with two different covers, but the same contents.

If anyone REALLY wants to pursue this, I'll scan the contents page(s) of my book, and someone with the red version can compare it with theirs. Then we'll know for sure!

Just getting in from the gym and swinging by the grocery to get sloppy joe mix and stuff to make salad tonight. I am not too fond of sloppy joe's so I am going to eat a salad which of course will have so much cheese(mexican style and goat)ham, olives, real bacon, hot sause, creamy ceascar dressing that it will more than likely be my whole 2000 calories for the day and thus making the trip to the gym null and void. But I have finally got my appetite back and have relaxed and so I am ready to eat eat eat!!! Hope everyone's monday is going good. My inlaws are going to be here until saturday and my mom and sister's are flying in thursday night so our 2 familes will have a chance to meet for the first time. I can't wait until my dad can travel.... this past Christmas before the stroke and car accident they were planning on coming to my home for christmas but that gives us more to look forward to again this year at Christmas!!!

Aww! At least Palmer is being a spunky healthy kitty! Still frustrating to lose your stuff!

Okay, I think we are safe to say anyone looking for the book can get either cover and it should be the same. =)

I will be more than happy to make comparisons of our books if anyone wants to be sure of it. cheesy

I am still missing Christmas music on Music Choice. For me, there just is not anything to listen to in order to replace it. We have MCR and it is wonderful but I would turn on Music Choice when I first woke up in the morning and listen to it as I went through the countdown but it's almost the middle of January and hopefully the Christmas music will be back before we know it!

Harlowe, Ella, Snickers, Scooby, Sasha, Snowball, Gomez, Hobbs, Palmer, Mouse and all furkids - your cousins Clancy, Wish, Ivy, Smokey and Lily send great big (((HUGS)) to you and as well I do also !! xo

I feel the same way every morning getting ready for work and while I made dinner I would put on Music Choice...

Snickers sends you BID WET Doggie kisses!!!!

I am on another break. Right now I am getting rid of some clutter out of my room. I really would like to re-arrange the furniture in here. We have lived in this house for 8 years and the furniture is still in the same place! We have tried to change it around but the room is just set up weird. It's a converted garage but not the full garage is our room, they split it up in 2 parts. The small room they made out of it is our office and then the rest of it is our room. Where the closet is makes it impossible to put the bed anywhere else. We can't put it in front of our window because of the air conditioner being there. I need a change in here!!! In the meantime I just got clear some stuff out. =)

Good afternoon, MMC! Hope you're all having a great day! I was sooo tired today when I got home. I got a wonderful day of sleep, thank goodness! I can tell DH had a stressful day! He just went to shower for work and he said that he just put EA down for her second nap of her day. She NEVER naps twice anymore. I think someone is being bad today...

Anyway, anything new with anyone? Nothing new here. DH goes to work here at 4, then I work again tonight, so my mom is watching the kids for us. Thank God for grandparents!

Well, I am going to get caught up on the countdown! Hope all is well with everyone.

Dawg - Hope the first night with the baby at home (I am thinking it was with the way you were posting), went well! :-D

We have lost our beloved grandmother so we are going to
say our goodbyes to her this Friday.
It's going to be hard. We love her so much. And miss her terrible...
I'm sorry for your loss, Solice. I hope you and your family can find some peace soon.

Losing stuff is okay - I just worry that she has no sense of danger and that she doesn't seem to learn from her mistakes. I'm just really thankful she didn't get hurt this time! Spunky indeed - her new nickname: The Palminator

I hope your head is better.......I am a chronic migraine sufferer myself. They are awful !!

If I could find a way to put my tree all decorated in another room and not have to take it down I would this year!! xo

Awww.........Happy six month birthday sweetie !! xo

Thanks! I am feeling pretty much today. The medicine I am is also for my seiziures, so I really like it, so I only have to take one med.

That would be so nice, but DH would look at me like I am cray!

Thanks! He is getting so big!

How can we help???

Just relax and take a deep breath. It will be summer break, then Christmas break before we all know it. You have that to look foward to. Keep working towards that goal and you will do so well!

Hi every one,
woke up today feeling absolutely horrible, so i knew right away i was staying home... i hope i will feel a little better in a while since i can't spend a day not working on my thesis...
i hope every one is doing well!

Hope you feel better!

So sorry for your loss. Your in my prayers.

I am going through some clothes in my room and had my 2 black jackets laying on this table. A little while later I took a few more clothes items and tossed them on top of the jacket. All of the sudden the clothes started moving! I picked it up and my black cat was laying on top of the black jackets. He blended right in, I never saw him there! Thank goodness I didn't toss anything heavy on top of him. He really didn't seem to mind and went back to sleep.

Meceka, love the name, The Palminator! I have had cats all my life and it's amazing what they can do and never get hurt. They are very agile creatures. I guess that is why they have 9 lives. =)

Well my sister just picked up my niece and now I have to run to the grocery store. I'll see y'all later tonight!!!!!

Good morning, everyone! Today is the day I have been dreading for a while now - the start of a new semester. I know it sounds silly since it's something that has to be done, but it still doesn't make it any easier! I am hoping that today goes well for me and I get this semester started off on the right foot. I don't know how I used to sit in school for seven hours! College classes seem like they drag on forever!

The good thing is that my three classes are fifty minutes each. All of my classes in college so far have either been an hour and twenty minutes long, an hour and fifteen minutes long, an hour and forty minutes long, or two hours and forty five minutes long. 50 minutes seems like a heck of a lot shorter, but 3 in a row is what bothers me!

Keep me in your thoughts today and wish me luck!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and that it flies by so we can get to the weekend and relax!

Good luck! I hope you had a great first day back! You will have a wonderful semester, I just know it!

Hey, all this talk of Georgia. Paula Deen is from there, ya'll!

I just love that lady and her whole family! I enjoy her shows especially at Christmas.
me too, i use lots of her recipes!
I've never eaten at Mrs. Dean's restaurant (it's always packed with tourists!), but I'm told by many people that my mother-in-law is a much better cook. It's hard to beat Mrs. Hilda's cooking!
yep, i've heard it's really hard to get in, well you end up having to wait far too long to get in.

Now I need a vacation! Watch out, Smoky Mountains! I'll be there in four weeks!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy[/QUOTE]
man that sounds great!
Good morning, Christmas family

It seems ever since I got my Ipod for Christmas I have not been here much. I must be old fashioned, I just find it easier to post with my laptop than my Ipod. For one thing, I have to make the screen bigger on it to begin with just so I can read the writing !

Not a lot going on today. Work in 2 hours. I have been almost begging my company to put me on radiology full time but they are ignoring me. Oh well. I am beginning to wonder if what they say about the squeaky wheel getting the grease is true.....:sad:We have a weird Winter as well. Not surprising in some ways as it seems all the seasons are warmer now and all have weird weather at one point or anothre. I hope we see some normal Winter weather soon !

I woke up with a migraine today so I am still trying to get my "sea legs". I dont want to take any of my prescription for it because I will be too woozy when it comes time to work. As the saying I saw on here says "This Too Shall Pass".

Snowflake- Praying for your little (((Harlowe))). I know just what she means to you xo

Dawg - You and I have the same sleep problem ! I was awake a lot of the times last night when you were, I just wasn't logged on to MMC. Hope you get some rest.

Kerstig - I hope you are feeling better soon xo

Jennifer - Good luck at school ! I am sure you will be amazing ! xo

Harlowe, Ella, Snickers, Scooby, Sasha, Snowball, Gomez, Hobbs, Palmer, Mouse and all furkids - your cousins Clancy, Wish, Ivy, Smokey and Lily send great big (((HUGS)) to you and as well I do also !! xo

Take care, Christmas family xooxo
cm3 i hope your migraine goes away quick, fast, & in a hurry. praying now for you!
I'm back to work today after being home sick Thursday and Friday (and the weekend, too). I'm finally feeling a little better, and I hope I can plow through some of these towers of paperwork that I found waiting for me. That's the only thing about working in a small office that I don't like. The other girls would like to help me out, but there are only 3 of them and they are busy with their own work. Oh well, looks like extra hours, and extra cash, for me!

All my Christmas stuff is still up, because I was too sick to take it down. Guess it'll be up till Saturday, at least.
glad to hear you're feeling better, don't worry- you'll just get to enjoy your Christmas decor a little longer!

hey ya'll, about to start supper. did several loads of laundry & a little more but my sinus' are still crazy!
i think everyone here has come home in a yucky mood, guess because it's monday. not talkative, more like just wanting to be left alone. ok
