CM3, I am glad you questioned prayer. It made me go to some of my favorite prayer books: Prayer: Asking and Receiving by John R. Rice, What Happens When Women Pray by Evelyn Christenson, and Lord, Change Me, also by Evelyn Christenson. I have had them for years, so I am going to re-read them for about the 100th time!!! Thanks for the nudge!!!

getting ready to fire up the grill! I have decided to grill ribs,and my mom is cooking her famous potato salad! I never did learn how to make that. she says it's easy but I can tell just by watching her do it,I would rush through it and mess it up somehow.lol I kind of want the weekend to slow down a bit it's going by too fast! Hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend. Tomorrow me and my sister are going to go see the movie The girl with the dragon tattoo,I have heard it was like the movie of the year. I know brandi read the book and said you could not put it down,we shall see how the movie is then!

One of my brothers is in Costa Rica while we're experiencing the coldest weekend of the winter season. Hardly seems fair, but I know he's having a great time.

There is no such thing as failing someone by praying. I hate it when people say "well the least we can do is pray for you". No the most you can do is pray for someone. When you are praying you are tapping into the power of God. Unfortunately we live in an imperfect world, and things don't always go as we want. God has a plan for all of us, and we don't always know what that is.

I don't think SIT could have said this better. CM3 - I think the most important thing is prayer. You didn't fail. In fact, you succeeded. We all can only keep praying, then God will answer our prayers, even if it isn't the outcome we were looking for.

Anyhow I need to call my dad soon before it gets too late,I talk to him everyday some days are better than others and my dads Physical therapist said he was doing really well and hopefully will be disharged in May (fingers crossed)!!!

This is great news! I hope his recovery continues on this pass. I will keep praying for him!

Oh, guess what? Ok, my nephew (turning 11), my daddy (turning80), my b-i-l (turning 69), & my son (turning 22) all have birthdays this month. We wanted to do something special for my daddy's so we decided to have a birthday party for all 4 of them tomorrow! My sis & bil, my niece & her family all live @ the beach but are coming up in the a.m while my rents are @ church. When they get home there we will all be...surprise, surprise, surprise! My dad will be so tickled. The rest of the birthday boys know about it, but not my daddy.cool huuh? Yaay a party!! Woo hoo!
