Good afternoon,

I have been taking it easy today, almost time to start making dinner. I am watching this new show called "America's Book of Secrets" it is really interesting stuff, it has caught my attention so now I have it set up as a series recording. It's on H2 if Saturday nights 10PM est if anyone is interested.

Enjoy your evening!

I told the secretary at our school that I was going to Wal-Mart to buy some hats in case I lose my hair. Today she brought in about a dozen hats that her mom (95 years old) has knitted/crocheted!!!

Wow see that is awesome, awesome, awesome. You may want to check out the Cancer Society of America they have a lot of information to help you along your journey of recovery.

Listen in Oct the Cancer Society does a walk called Light the Night, I participate in it, so so will be in our walk here in my neck of the woods.

Had been eyeing an originally $160.00 unlit tree at k-mart....went down to 90% yesterday and got the last one for 15.99 when i stopped in on my way to work.....normally not in the buying mood for the clearance stuff, but couldn't pass that up......is much bigger than the old one so I will have to buy some new stuff for it. The old prelit one didnt last but a couple of years....dont want to go down that road anymore!

OH my that is SO cool!!! What a great deal!!! Hmmm, I wonder there are two Wal-Marts on the way home for me.....

Good evening,Christmas family !!

It seems like forever since I have posted in the countdown. I guess it was really only a couple of days ago. Right now I am listening to Music Choice Classical Masterpieces -A composition by Leopold Mozart is playing. I must say, his son was so much more talented !!

I agree with you, he had such a way of bringing you into the music and creating a story some pieces but on the other hand he was Wolfgang's teacher as well. But I still prefer Wolfgang's music.

My tree is still up but I think I am finally beginning to accept that I must take it down plus (and you are going to think I am really crazy) I took a video of my tree with my Ipod so I can look at it during the Summer and remember exactly what it looks like all decorated !!

That is so sweet!!!

Does anyone know how Harlowe is ??
I think maybe Shellie might?!?! Or I hope she does, did you PM Snowflake?

That was actually the first one I've ever made.

Made - that is amazing, I had no idea it was the first one, it was great, I think you tapped into an unkoown talent besides being the WORLDS GREATEST UNCLE!!!

Well everyone, I didn't really get caught up...I was reading and fell asleep on the couch. I tend to do that on my nights off, if DH is at work! I will go through them tomrrow!

Good night all!!!

I've done that too!!!

Has everyone heard about that cruise ship that turned over in Italy? I thought I had heard it all after the captain abanded ship and was arrested on manslaughter charges. That makes me so angry. Now I have read online that also grown men were pushing pregnant women and little kids out of the way so they could get off! I believe there is a special place in the afterlife for folks like that! i guess I will sound like my parents and say it's just a sign of the times we live in now. It's really hard to believe 100 years after titanic sank that a cruise ship can just take on water and sink like that. I sure hope that they find everyone that is missing. Last I heard it was 11 bodies found so far and a few dozen still missing. That story has haunted me this week and the photo's actually look photo shopped. I know they are real but it's looks so wierd, and they were actually so close to land. That is my rant of the day.. Have a great day everyone!

Yeah, this whole story is sad, the parent company of the cruise line was in tears at a press confrence. Stories he was showing off and communicating with friends/family on Facebook, I am not sure how true that all is but I heard that on our local news station the other day. Just very sad.

Wednesday ... a slow commute to the office, as usual in mid-week. I may be coming down with Mr.'s cold, but I'm trying to convince myself that I'm not. He's home sick again today.

Oh MC... I hope you don't get it!!!! Ohhhh....

Ah, hair loss---sometimes funny (the hair-burgers that form over your shower drain), sometimes a pain (itchy wigs). You can get a bunch of cheap wigs and change your look every day! They itch, though, so those hats from your secretary will come in handy. When my hair was falling out, I was tempted to stand up at the office, scream "I can't take it anymore!" and pull out two big handfuls of hair just for effect. Didn't have the nerve to do it, though.

Hmmm, now for some reason and I don't mean to be rude I laughed I saw a flash of a woman fed up and ready to walk with hair falling out... Sometimes humor is the best medicine.

Photo request! And dibs on a slice!

MC GREAT idea!!! dibs on a piece too!!!! CS please!!!!!!

Good afternoon, dear Christmas family !

My lungs are being a little on the "rattly" (spelling ??) side ......It seems all this up and down with the temperatures is affecting my asthma. So far my inhaler is handling it.

Oh I hope it isn't too bad.

I finally downloaded Angry Birds !! I got Angy Birds Seasons !! OMG it is SUCH A HOOT !!! ......For anyone who plays this game.....Am I hearing the birds sometimes say "ouch" ?? They are too funny ! I now have three games on my Ipod, Angry Birds Seasons,

I LOVE - LOVE - LOVE the Angry Birds Seasons!!! And I love when you tap the screen and they go "craw- craw" (SP)???

Does anyone here know anything that helps skin conditions such as psoriasis ?? I have a patch on my arm and feel like a total freak !! I know there are prescription meds but I would rather stay away from most of them as their side effects sound worse than the psoriasis !!

Oh sweetie, I don't but have you tried to google it?

I'm still on the fence ... haven't downloaded Angry Birds yet. From what I've read, I'm afraid of becoming addicted!

DO IT!!!! Get it MC!!! It is mindless fun!!!!

i wood be the same. i do not taking meds if i can find a naturial way
here is some that maybe your have tryed and if ot maybe you cold give then a go

Try a vinegar dip. Like aloe, apple cider vinegar has a long history of being used to soothe minor burns and other skin inflammations, and it's also a disinfectant. According to the Psoriasis Foundation, some folks with psoriasis have reported success in using it to treat their condition. As a liquid, it makes a great soak for affected fingernails and toenails -- just pour some in a bowl or cup and dip your nails in for a few minutes -- and apparently has even been effective when applied to plaques using cotton balls. It might just be worth a try. To prepare an apple cider vinegar compress, add 1 cup apple cider vinegar to 1 gallon water. Soak a washcloth in the mixture and apply it to the skin to ease itching

Pass the plastic wrap. Doctors have known for years that covering psoriasis lesions helps them go away. The cover-up strategy also helps to work medications into the skin and keep moisturizers in place longer. You can use regular kitchen plastic wrap, or you can buy special OTC patches (Actiderm). Apply your prescribed medication (be sure to confirm with your doctor first that the medication you are using can safely be used with an occlusive wrap) or moisturizer, then cover the area with the wrap. Don't keep the wrap on so long that the skin becomes soggy, since it's more susceptible to secondary infection that way; consult your doctor or pharmacist if you need more specific instructions.

Pass the warm olive oil. If psoriasis scale is a problem on your scalp, warm a little olive oil and gently massage it into the scale to help soften and remove it. Then shampoo as usual and rinse thoroughly.

Baking soda. To take the itch out of your scaly patches, mix 1 1/2 cups baking soda into 3 gallons water. Apply to your itchy patches with a washcloth soaked in the solution.

Epsom salts. Add a handful of these healing salts to your bath. They'll keep swelling down and bring healing to your psoriasis.

Mineral oil. This is another time-proven skin soother. Add a bit to your bath and soak your aching skin.

Olive oil. An old favorite for easing psoriasis outbreaks is mixing 2 teaspoons olive oil with a large glass of milk and adding the concoction to your bathwater. Or if you are dealing with psoriasis on your scalp, massage some warm olive oil on your scaly patches. It will help soften the dead skin and make it easier to remove.

Vegetable oil. Get in the tub and add a cupful of vegetable oil to your bath to ease your psoriasis

Beat the tar out of it. Tar-containing shampoos, creams, and bath additives can help loosen psoriasis scales. Tar-containing bath oils are especially beneficial for psoriasis that is widespread on the body. These over-the-counter (OTC) products have been successful psoriasis treatments for many years.

Try OTC cortisone. Nonprescription topical medications containing 1 percent cortisone (Cortaid is one familiar brand) can also relieve the itching and irritation of psoriasis, especially for plaques that arise in skin folds or on the face

hope some of these might help !!!!

oh wow shellie i found those helpful too, thanks!!
