Yeah I can see that

It didn't matter to me as far as who went in the NFC, just whoever it is better beat the Patriots.

I can't stand band wagon jumpers! What really annoys me are people that just refuse to cheer for their home team. My sister is one of them, she hates the Ravens and likes the Patriots, and she lives in Maryland. Like me, I am originally from Maryland and cheer for the Ravens and since moving to Dallas, I have adopted the Cowboys as my new home team, so I have 2 home teams to cheer for. I just hope they never meet in the Superbowl. The only way I would ever cheer for the Patriots in any situation is if they were playing the Steelers. I just flat out hate the Steelers, I wouldn't even own anything that was painted black and yellow.

This is the first time I ever quoted myself, but I wanted to clarify that I DID NOT mean anybody in these forums with this. I was meaning people that I know personally, like my sister, and people I work with. I didn't want this to be misunderstood.

Good Morning! I have 10 pages to catch up on but I won't have time to do so right now.

Yesterday was a rough day on me. I woke up hurting all over, felt terrible and have no idea why! I went to church and had to leave early. I came home and laid down before I went to work. I did okay at work but then my back started killing me. I am still hurting today especially in my back!

I am a die hard Cowboys fan but wanted the Ravens to win for Snow-in-Texas but it's okay. My son-in-law and grandson is happy that the Patriots won. I am happy for the! =)

Congratulations New York Giants and New England Patriots fans!
Feel better soon, CAH!

I just realized that a month ago today was the day we all stayed up and watched Darlene Love on letterman!! man I must say this month has passed slow because that seems like a long time ago! that makes me feel better...If I can make it through the dreaded month of Jan the rest of the year is downhill! g'day everyone!

I missed it as I wasn't on the boards really yet. So I looked it up. Here is a link if anyone wants to take a gander.

Hey everyone!

Well, it was a rough night/morning. Please pray for the people in Alabama that were injured/killed and/or had damage. A lot of areas in the state have major damage. Some neighborhoods are just destroyed. People are still trapped in houses as I type. They don't know how many people are injured or have been killed, but they do know there have been several.

Praise God, we didn't get any of the severe weather here. We had a lot or rain, wind, and lightening--but no tornadoes at my house. Schools are delayed 2 hours, though, to allow time for some of the flooded areas to be dealt with. The buses can't run through there.

I will probably have some tired and grouchy Pre-K students today. Luckily, they get to take a short nap. Hopefully, that will help. I'm sure I will hear a lot of interesting stories, though.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.
TTYL!

That's horrible, I'll be thinking of everyone there.

Try to take it easy today and rest up. That's oh so important.

Happy monday everyone. Hope that your wounds are healing for those whose team didn't do well yesterday, and congrats for those that did.

Hopefully it'll be a good day as mondays are always hit or miss. I had a great relaxing weekend so at least I'm rested. Hope everyone has a great day and we'll talk soon!
:merry:

hi my friends.....today will be hard day, because we are going to my grandpa´s funeral....can I ask for prayers for us and especially my grandmother to make through this day...as I wrote before...she is very, very brave...but lets the pain come out, too...but u never know what happens to a person when they bring their loved one to his grave :(

Track, I am so sorry for your families loss, you & your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I have been reading all these posts about a game so lets see if I got this right...
some patriot giants are going to play in a big bowl?
In case you did not guess I am not big into football LOL

Hope you all get your favorite team to win...when is the game, want to at least see the 1/2 time show!

Become a Pats Fan? That must be the cold talking. No one in their right mind would want to become a Pats fan.

I hope you feel better soon!!!!

It must be!lol A good buddy of mine is a PATS fan and it would be nice just once...just once for my team to win.lol I'm not too big of a pro football fan anyway but I do enjoy superbowls. I never will forget superbowl 2002 when the pats played in the superbowl in New Orleans. I forget who they played that year or if they won,I just remember the next day I flew out of Biloxi Miss. and half of my plane was fans coming back from the game and even the Flight attendants were getting mad/aggrivated at them by the end of flight...good times.lol

we were lucky last night, the violent weather just missed us I think. We have had a lot of bad weather around here lately. I hope everyone has a great Monday!

Glad you are safe, praying for the families.

We didn't get a chance to see Courageous in the theater, but I actually bought it yesterday. I have been an admirer of all of the movies made by Sherwood Baptist for years! Facing the Giants was their second movie, but I saw it first and it made such an impact on my life. I can't explain it, but the movie reached me in a way that no sermon ever has. I even bought the soundtrack to listen to at work, and it reminds me of different scenes in the movie. LOL

Fireproof, their third, was another wonderful movie. Kirk Cameron delivered a super performance in that.

I can't wait to get home so I can watch Courageous! cheesy

IT's great I saw it this weekend...it was filmed in Albany,Ga I believe!

What a great weekend I just had. I made a trip to Galena and got some fabulous deals on some Chrismtas items. As usual I can't wait to display them. And of yesterday the football was wonderful. I'm not a fan of either the Patriots or Giants but I was rooting for both of them (gotta pull for someone). Is it possible to hold the sports bar liable for all my excess pizza and wing consumption?

I like that idea Bullypup!!! Maybe I can do the same.

Lunch is over with...after the menu I have been eating since my mom was here feeding me I only drank water, water water for lunch..I am having major stomach issues:( I hope everyone's monday is going by fast and is good...I remember when I use to have monday's off...I use to love those days because I could get groceries and shop and do alot of stuff without having to fight the crowds like I do now on the weekends. I may go back to having mondays off soon too... I use to have mondays and thursdays off.! that also makes the work week go by fast when your days off are split up...Have a good afternoon everyone!

Good morning and Gong Hay Fat Choi (Happy Chinese New Year) all! I've been gone so long, life just got crazy on me. And it still is, but I wanted to pop in a moment and say hello and hope everyone's doing well! Hopefully I'll be able to pop in more from now on!

So, today's the first day of the Chinese New Year celebration--the year of the Dragon. I love to go down to Chinatown on my lunch hour this time of year. Last year, I was lucky enough to see a few Lion Dances, which is always fun. If loud. It doesn't compare to Christmas in my heart, but I do enjoy it.

Have a good day, all--hope to chat soon!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a busy weekend, working at the store all day Saturday. After 13 hours there, I need a full day of rest. How in the world does Bernie do it everyday?!? And we're planning his 75th birthday party for next month! Of course, he's not there ALL day everyday, but most of the day. Whew!

Sunday after church we went to mom's for lunch, then I had to make a quick trip to a town about 45 minutes away to do 15 minutes worth of work on my side business. When I got back to mom's, my son and I shot skeet till the cold and drizzle made us go back in.

Later last night, my daughter's other grandmother gave her a bird egg she'd found. That meant I was to spend the next couple hours creating an incubator consisting of a styrofoam cooler lined with tinfoil, and a C9 Christmas light (I couldn't resist!) in the side wall of the cooler. She popped out of bed this morning to check on her egg, and to roll it to get warmth on all sides. She love it!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

That sounds so cool. I hope you get to see more like that this year.

Wow !! Why so much venom about the patriots ? is it the team is it the fans ? Myself being less than a year from being forty I can remember the long suffering of new englanders with no championships in any sports. We have been extremely fortunate the last 10 years with success from all the major sports teams. Although I believe the Celtics did win some in the 80's but I myself am not much of a basketball fan.I know that the game yesterday was more a case of Baltimore giving it away than of us taking it from them , and the Giants have already beaten us this season so that Superbowl is going to be one heck of a game.I just hope in the end the Patriots come out on top.

OH! I am just soooooo disappointed today! The Ravens lost by such a little bit! But that's OK, because my sister and I will still go over Mom's for the superbowl, and spend the day reading and eating crab dip.

Good afternoon, everyone!

Just stopping by quickly. I have been busy. Lots of work. A little vacation, too. 10 of us rented a chalet a couple miles away from Jay Peak in Vermont. It was a nice four hour drive to experience the best skiing I have ever had. Great times being surrounded by friends, too!

I hadn't skiied in about 12 years... and on the first time down, we went down on a Black Diamond. Thankfully, I managed to make it through the whole weekend with only one slip (it was icey) on a major/groomed trail. It was only about my sixth time overall skiing, too. A successful weekend!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful time. We're nearing 11 months until Christmas! I can't wait! But, until then, there is a whole bunch of experiences to be had in this year! Have a great Monday, everyone!
