My company was okay with my decision not to go along with that goofy schedule but they still are changing my schedule on a temporary basis to 1-9 Mon thru Fri......which means every single Saturday and Sunday I will be off for a time and because they changed it starting next week......I have a three day weekend this weekend !! xo

Today is my mom's 82nd birthday. We are blessed to have her still as part of our lives. She is healthy and active and still travels often to visit family in Vermont and British Columbia. She visits the "elderly" every week at a couple of nursing homes.
This picture was taken at her 80th birthday bash...
Good morning everyone! it's a sunny mild day today!I am glad to see the sun after the last 4 or 5 cloudy days! and I'm glad I have my 6am meeting over with...I am always on time for work never ever late, and today I woke up at 530 which was oversleeping by 30 mins which is something I never do,well I just made it to work on time and had to skip my morning shower!lol I'm just glad I was not late...today is Brandi's 24th BD so I will bring her cake home with me,Im stopping at Publix (local grocer) that has the best deli and bakery in town..I ordered her a necklace which she has been hinting around that she liked and ups is suppose to bring it to work today...that is all that is happening on my end of things. I have not looked at the weather forecast yet today but last time I looked it was suppose to stay mild and sunny...so sounds good, people around here are already starting to get spring allergies, and I could have sworn there was tree pollen on my car this morning!! have a great hump day everyone! see yall at the pines tonight if I can hold out that long!
Good Morning, Middle-of-the-Workweek Friends.
Yes indeed!
We once again stand at the summit of the week to take in that wonderful view of the weekend.
And what better place to see it from than the upper deck at the Shispering Pines!
And what better way to accompany that magnificent view than by reading this:
Days to the Season: 293
Days to Christmas Day: 335
Barely over 2 1/2 weeks left until the one quarter Season mark will be reached!
We've cooled off again -- to 39 degrees -- but it's nice and clear with the promise of a good day ahead.
Really, so far winter has been pretty kind around here. No complaints from me!
OK.
The Pines.
And I guess it had to happen.
With all the talk of coffee vs tea, coupled wiith Carl's experimantal nature I suppose it was inevitable that camel would come up with a coffee and tea blend.
I don't know whether to be intrigued or revolted.
Shall we meet at the 'Pines and find out?
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!
Good morning,
It's quiet here now the kids are at school and preschool, my foot is resting, but I need to get out of here for a little while today, I am really going stir crazy, and all of you are probably sick of seeing me post so much the last few days. cheesy I am watching a new show called Heat Seekers, they go around to different cities looking for the spiciest foods possible, this episode they are in Las Vegas, now I just want to go there for the spiciness especially the restaurant called LBS. You ever been there Snowflake? I love spicy foods! I must figure out what to do today, unfortunately there is no movies out I want to see right now. Hmmm?
Enjoy your :rudolph: Day

Just clocked out for lunch..talked to my sister..the one who has not seen Jordan yet and her and her hubby and her 2 kids are coming from Cal. in a few weeks when her kids are out of school for spring break,so I am excited about that. The weather here is the same warm rainy and gloomy. Alot of people are still out with the flu at work,my cold is much better but at night my throat is still a bit scratchy. I brought some chicken pot pie(home made) from home and am about to dig in...have a great midday everyone!
The tornados were in Central Alabama, south of us. We had high winds, hard rain and just a pelting of small hail. No damage.
We are 90 miles northwest of Jasper. Mississippi is 8 miles west and Tennessee is 20 miles north.
Thanks for checking!
I hope you feel better this morning!!!!
On a personal note, I signed up on a dating site. My love for Christmas has drawn some interesting responses already lol.
I hope you get your nap in!!!!!!
I have been working on an acoustic version of O come All Ye Faithful. Maybe I'll try to record that if you guys promise not to judge too harshly. :-D
((((Sugar)))) .....I am so thoughtless....I didn't even include you last night when I posted. I am so sorry you don't feel well. I hope you get better ! xo
Yeah, I know, its one of those gateway breakfast cereals, I must be extremely careful. cheesy
Just got some really bad news. My mom needs surgery tomorrow for her throat. I am not with her so I don't know details but if they are doing it so soon it can't be good.
Good Wednesday :rudolphay, my Christmas friends!
I had my annual review here at work yesterday. It's not typically my most favorite day; we usually just talk about areas where I need to improve. Yesterday, though, my supervisor was very complimentary of my work and the experience I bring to the table. He even talked about future promotions and other advancements.
Wow! My arm still hurts from patting myself on the back the rest of the day.
Enough of that, on to more important things...it's Pinesday and Rudolph Day all in one! Unprecedented! All those folks are so worked up about the Mayan calendar ending in December of this year. Humph. If the Mayans were so smart, why didn't they predict Pinesday falling on Rudy Day this year? 'Nuff said.
What a day! I am feeling bad and my back is still hurting then the school called and my grandson has an earache. I went to go get him and he was crying. He is asleep right now and his parents will leave work soon to take him to the doctor.
I just scored 5 new Christmas books, with the most expensive one being $2.48 I cannot wait until they come in. They are:
A Century of Christmas Memories 1900-1999
Life: Christmas Around the World
Planet Christmas: The World's Most Extreme Christmas Decorations!
Why Does Santa Wear Red? and 100 Other Christmas Curiosities Unwrapped!
The Christmas List by David Graham (Which is a another strange Christmas fact book)
Wooohooooo!!!
I have plans to spend the morning with my cousin. We are going to celebrate her birthday which was yesterday. I hope there is cake
