My company was okay with my decision not to go along with that goofy schedule but they still are changing my schedule on a temporary basis to 1-9 Mon thru Fri......which means every single Saturday and Sunday I will be off for a time and because they changed it starting next week......I have a three day weekend this weekend !! xo

Oh I like that show!!! Isn't it the best when that happens & you get a Christmas Episode!!!

Today is my mom's 82nd birthday. We are blessed to have her still as part of our lives. She is healthy and active and still travels often to visit family in Vermont and British Columbia. She visits the "elderly" every week at a couple of nursing homes.
This picture was taken at her 80th birthday bash...

Star, happy birthday to your mother! She sounds like a firecracker.

Good morning everyone! it's a sunny mild day today!I am glad to see the sun after the last 4 or 5 cloudy days! and I'm glad I have my 6am meeting over with...I am always on time for work never ever late, and today I woke up at 530 which was oversleeping by 30 mins which is something I never do,well I just made it to work on time and had to skip my morning shower!lol I'm just glad I was not late...today is Brandi's 24th BD so I will bring her cake home with me,Im stopping at Publix (local grocer) that has the best deli and bakery in town..I ordered her a necklace which she has been hinting around that she liked and ups is suppose to bring it to work today...that is all that is happening on my end of things. I have not looked at the weather forecast yet today but last time I looked it was suppose to stay mild and sunny...so sounds good, people around here are already starting to get spring allergies, and I could have sworn there was tree pollen on my car this morning!! have a great hump day everyone! see yall at the pines tonight if I can hold out that long!

Dawg, glad to hear you made it fine. I hate those days when it's nothing but a rush. Also happy birthday to Brandi, it sounds like she's going to have a great one.

Good Morning, Middle-of-the-Workweek Friends.

Yes indeed!
We once again stand at the summit of the week to take in that wonderful view of the weekend.
And what better place to see it from than the upper deck at the Shispering Pines!

And what better way to accompany that magnificent view than by reading this:
Days to the Season: 293
Days to Christmas Day: 335
Barely over 2 1/2 weeks left until the one quarter Season mark will be reached!

We've cooled off again -- to 39 degrees -- but it's nice and clear with the promise of a good day ahead.
Really, so far winter has been pretty kind around here. No complaints from me!

OK.
The Pines.
And I guess it had to happen.
With all the talk of coffee vs tea, coupled wiith Carl's experimantal nature I suppose it was inevitable that camel would come up with a coffee and tea blend.
I don't know whether to be intrigued or revolted.
Shall we meet at the 'Pines and find out?

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!

It's going so quick. See you at the Pines tonight!

Good morning,

It's quiet here now the kids are at school and preschool, my foot is resting, but I need to get out of here for a little while today, I am really going stir crazy, and all of you are probably sick of seeing me post so much the last few days. cheesy I am watching a new show called Heat Seekers, they go around to different cities looking for the spiciest foods possible, this episode they are in Las Vegas, now I just want to go there for the spiciness especially the restaurant called LBS. You ever been there Snowflake? I love spicy foods! I must figure out what to do today, unfortunately there is no movies out I want to see right now. Hmmm?

Enjoy your :rudolph: Day

We're never sick of hearing from you and Happy Rudolph day to you.

Happy Shispering Pines day everyone and Merry Rudolph Day. I'm in such a good mood today because it's Rudolph day. I have a few celebration plans. I have my USB Christmas is lit in my office. I'm listening to Christmas music and tonight I'm going to finish a Rudolph Day podcast I've been working on and I also want to finish Holiday Inn. I forget how much I love that movie. Bing is my all time favorite movie and no one can move like Fred Astaire, even to this day.

Well back to work for me, I hope your Rudolph Day is Merry:wiggy:

Hi all. Just sitting down to read some more of the countdown. After DS's appt., which may I add he got a good report. He is a chunker...haha. He's in the 75% or above for everything. The doctor is very happy.

We went to breakfast afterwards. It was very good. We went to Cracker Barrel. Their breakfast is awesome!

Nothing else new here to report. I am going to sit here and relax for a little while.

Good Wednesday :rudolph:Day, my Christmas friends!

I had my annual review here at work yesterday. It's not typically my most favorite day; we usually just talk about areas where I need to improve. Yesterday, though, my supervisor was very complimentary of my work and the experience I bring to the table. He even talked about future promotions and other advancements.

Wow! My arm still hurts from patting myself on the back the rest of the day.

Enough of that, on to more important things...it's Pinesday and Rudolph Day all in one! Unprecedented! All those folks are so worked up about the Mayan calendar ending in December of this year. Humph. If the Mayans were so smart, why didn't they predict Pinesday falling on Rudy Day this year? 'Nuff said.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Just clocked out for lunch..talked to my sister..the one who has not seen Jordan yet and her and her hubby and her 2 kids are coming from Cal. in a few weeks when her kids are out of school for spring break,so I am excited about that. The weather here is the same warm rainy and gloomy. Alot of people are still out with the flu at work,my cold is much better but at night my throat is still a bit scratchy. I brought some chicken pot pie(home made) from home and am about to dig in...have a great midday everyone!

That is so exciting! Jordan keeps getting to meet new people every couple of weeks! What gift to him!

I hope you feel better soon! Hope that chicken pot pie helped!

The tornados were in Central Alabama, south of us. We had high winds, hard rain and just a pelting of small hail. No damage.

We are 90 miles northwest of Jasper. Mississippi is 8 miles west and Tennessee is 20 miles north.

Thanks for checking!

Thanks for checking in. So glad you're okay. We were all worried about you.

I just realized looking at the dates that we're only 6 months away from Christmas in July and 11 months away from Christmas. How exciting! We're getting closer and closer everyday! :wiggy:

I hope you feel better this morning!!!!

Thanks. Both of the kids have colds and this morning, I felt crappy again. I am hoping maybe it just the dry air in the house, but maybe I am coming down with it too. I guess we will see in a few days.

On a personal note, I signed up on a dating site. My love for Christmas has drawn some interesting responses already lol.

Good luck! I hope you find someone to have a great time with.

I hope you get your nap in!!!!!!

I did finally fall asleep around 12:30 yesterday and slept for a few hours. I only slept last night about 3 hours though. Haha - I starting to sound like Cm3 and Dawg. We should start a group on here!

I have been working on an acoustic version of O come All Ye Faithful. Maybe I'll try to record that if you guys promise not to judge too harshly. :-D

Don't worry, I think you don't have to worry about! We would love to hear it! :)

((((Sugar)))) .....I am so thoughtless....I didn't even include you last night when I posted. I am so sorry you don't feel well. I hope you get better ! xo

You are not thoughtless at all! You don't have to always include me, Cm3. It's okay you forgot me, honest. I appreciate the fact you were even thinking about me. Thanks for always thinking about me, my family, and Ella. Hugs to you and the furkids. Xoxo

Yeah, I know, its one of those gateway breakfast cereals, I must be extremely careful. cheesy

I must an addict then because I eat them with EA all the time!

Just got some really bad news. My mom needs surgery tomorrow for her throat. I am not with her so I don't know details but if they are doing it so soon it can't be good.

I will keep you, your mom, and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated.

Congratulations Brad !!! You deserve every single nice thing they said at work !! As for the Mayan calendar thing......I figure it is up to God what happens to this earth since He created it......not some ancient civilization...........!! xo

Sugar I would NEVER forget you !!! You are part of our Christmas family and just as important as everyone !! xoxoxoxox

What a day! I am feeling bad and my back is still hurting then the school called and my grandson has an earache. I went to go get him and he was crying. He is asleep right now and his parents will leave work soon to take him to the doctor.
