Received a disappointed quiz score in Meteorology tonight, however The quiz had some insane questions on it - my cousin is in the class with me and didn't do well either. I studied, read the chapter, and did the lab - yet I still did pretty badly. Ugh, lovely start to the new semester.

I am sure you will do better next time! I know you want to worry about it, but don't let it bother you. Just study for the next thing you have to worry about!

Jacob (Border Terrier) has spent every other day this week throwing up. Ever since he had a bad case of gastroenteritis when he was a puppy, he's been prone to a dodgy tummy. Just has to look at the wrong thing and he throws up. Doesn't seem to bother him too much but we keep an eye on him anyway. Cracker (Cairn Terrier) is like a walking mop and is forever on the lookout for small furry creatures to terrorise!!!

Had a funeral to go to last week. It was the 44 year old husband of a friend of mine who dropped dead of a heart attack in a home furnishings store. Pretty horrific.

Prayers for Jacob. Hope he is feeling better and if not, hope he feels better soon.

Prayers and hugs to you as well. Sorry to hear you had a loss of a friend like that.

Thanks for saying this, CAH! With work being so busy the past week or so and people acting the way the do there, I think the Lord I have a place like this to come to. Thank you all for what you say and do!

I received my test grade in Statistics and my score was an 88% which is a B+! I am pretty happy about that since I am not much of a math person. He said the class average was a 63% so I am glad I did well.

Tomorrow is my mom's throat surgery, my dad got off of work so he can take her. I'm assuming she'll have to be there early in the morning and the surgeon said he isn't going to let her go home until 5 PM so that he can make sure she is doing okay. The only way I think she'd have to stay is if they found cancer or if there was some kind of complication. I am definitely praying that it is not cancer so she can finally have some peace after this surgery is over!

I talked to my professor about it today and he told me not to come on Thursday, and my professor that I have on MWF told me to not come on Friday so I can keep her company. I am going tomorrow because I am not going to sit in the hospital all day long when I can't do anything.

I am starving so I am going to grab myself lunch and spend the day with my mom before she has to go tomorrow!

My thoughts are with all of you, great job on your exam. Watch out those two people who ask all the questions might start asking you. cheesy

Who knew resting so much would be so tiring? cheesy I have been resting all day off my feet most of all, but I did do some basic cleaning. I watched a DVD I haven't watched in years, "Convoy" with Kris Kristofferson, Ali McGraw, never would be an award winning movie but just mindless fun. I can't believe my parents let me watch a movie like that when I was 7-8 years old. Oh the 80's such a different time, where movies like Ghostbusters, The Goonies, and Gremlins are considered family fare. What fun!

Good afternoon,just getting home and it looks like we are having chicken wings and salad tonight for dinner. Our neighbor julie was over most of the day and I think is coming back for dinner which is good,she is really nice. We met her when her dog last summer got out and went missing(same dog that was hit this morning and died) but last summer we found the dog while she was at work and she was impressed and greatful that we kept it at our house until she came home that she was been really nice to us ever since..we thought it was what anyone would do though...she is in her late 40's and her husband died last year like on jan8th but was in the hospital ICU coma over the holidays,he had cancer so she has had a rough year. I think you need to have at least one good neighbor friend,or at the very least speaking terms with them.lol my 1st wife was very wierd about neihbors...she did not want to encourag me to even be nice to them.lol but anyways I hope Julie gets better soon and thanks again everyone who has said prayers....
Jennifer91-will say prayers for you and your family tomorrow for your mom.

hi not sure if i could live not knowing my neigbours.. maybe it depends where you live..over where i live we know each other all of then there dogs names there kids there mums where they work everything lol
We talk every day and are in and out of most houses at sometime in the year
If anything is wrong they all rather round to see if they can help or if anyone is sick they are in asking
And lots of others things like. if they car does not start or lookng a lend of something or if your out in the garden and one goes by they stand and talk . piles of things guess are all like family

The one girl in my class that asks continuous questions received a 68% on her test and she started cheering - she legitimately thought it was a good test score. When someone reminded her that it was a D, she stated that there had to be some mistake because she knows more than anyone in our class - lol!

it is freezing cold over here and it is getting colder......they say that a Siberian Cold Weather front is coming over here and we feel it already. by friday there will be temperatures of - 15 degrees celsius....freeeeeeeeeezing

I have not seen Convoy in years....that was a great movie...I never really got into goonies...but I loved Ghostbusters and gremlins...I saw ghostbusters a few months ago on the tv guide network...80's movies were the best.

Thinking of Julie and Brandi as she consoles her.

Brandi just called me at work to tell me that our next door neighbor julie just called her to tell her jack russel terrier was hit by a car(and killed) on the road in front of our house...she has taken the day off of work she is so upset. That is what scares me so bad where we live,the road is so busy and with semi trucks(think pet semetary,the movie) the road is so dangerous.my pets never go out the front door...we just let them out the back because I don't want to risk it. Please everyone remember our neighbor Julie at this time...she just lost her hubby last year and her dogs is what keeps her company.I really look for her to be out of work many days...Brandi told her to come over to our house for the day..so manybe that will help not to be alone

Back from shopping. Our snow almost totally vanished today, it is still +8c.
It is supposed to rain tonight and that should get rid of the remaining snow. Had to check the calendar to make sure it is actually the end of January.
