Watching Mash, they are showing a Christmas show. It is the one where they are trying to keep a wounded man alive until after Christmas so his children will not have to remember Christmas as the day their father died. Father Mulcahy
said that "Christmas should be thought of as a day of life"
They are also having a big Christmas party for a local orphanage.

M*A*S*H is my all time favorite show, I got CAH hooked on it too, in fact that episode is one of her favorites. I don't particularly like that one, it depresses me. My favorite Christmas episode is from the first season when Hawkeye writes his dad, and Radar is mailing a jeep home one piece at a time.

Watching the Bruins tonight, they are so frustrating, they are not playing their physical style, almost like they are going through the motions, they lead but are getting outplayed. They need to get it going if they want to repeat as champs.

sorry for my hockey rant.

You want to be frustrated? try being a Capitals fan.

I'm doing well health-wise but my SO just had our first fight--around V-Day no less!! It basically boiled down to A LOT of miscommunication. Oops! Oh well. Live and learn I guess.

I'm up and wishing it were Friday. Ah well. Like gabulldawg, we're supposed to get a buttload of rain today, tomorrow and Saturday. My SO and I have patched things up--thank goodness!! That's about it from me! Laters!

Good Morning, Folks.

Once again the summit of the week has been crested and we begin the dowhill glide to the weekend.

It's started out a bit warmer here this morning at 44 degrees, headed for a high of 58 with a "100 percent" chance of rain.
(They don't usually get that definite!)

Continuing:
Days to the Season: 271
Days to Christmas Day: 313
And we move under two weeks off from our second Milestone, the 300-day Christmas Day mark.
(How can we have advanced so far, already?)

OK!
May each and every one of you have a Thrilling Thursday in anticipation of Weekend Eve tomorrow.
Keep that Christmas faith.....and that Spirit of the Season!

Just getting settled in at work...picked up the Air Force news letter and guess what??? in April 3000 Airmen will loose thier jobs in the AF....ANd some bases are in danger of closing...If they closed my base that would be bad for my town...with only a population of 60k ppl in the city alone....12,000 of those are military....and 12,000 are college from the University here too...so it would cut the population BAD here so the town is fighting to keep us here...Anyway I am not too worried about my job I just hate to see any military shrink...I know we are through with both wars basically, which is a good thing but I feel like if something happened and you cut the military back too much your screwed becasue it's not like you can just recruit ppl in a day!!! sorry for the ramble but anyway I wanted to wish everyone a good morning!!!

I have been busy planning a Redneck themed party @ work, so that's been exhausting yet fun at the same time.
I can help with that! cheesy

Good morning, everyone! Just thought I would check in real quick and say hello before heading to bed.

Nothing is new here. I'm just really tired today and looking forward to a good day of sleep.

Alrightly, I will talk to you all a little later on! Have a great day!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It looks like the rain has cleared out already and we are well are on our way to the of 48 later today. My cold has started to get better so I'm going to head out to do my sister's brakes. Then my youngest niece is coming home with me to stay the night because my sister has a doctors appointment on the north side of Indy early tomorrow morning. Hopefully I'll some time to get caught up on here too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can help with that! cheesy

Me too me too!!! depending on what you consider redneck...but one year we had a "hillbilly hoedown" theme for our Christmas party!! I really did not have to dress up for it,I already had a cowboy hat and boots so I just wore that.lol I have pics of the party on my profile page under "hillbilly hoedown" at least I think it is...but it was fun anyway.!!!

That episode is called, Death Takes a Holiday, from season 9. It is one of my favorites but the story line that makes it my favorite in that episode is when Charles donates chocolates to the orphanage which is to, remain anonymous. Then the whole follow up on that story is moving to me especially at the end when Klinger brings Charles dinner and quotes the same thing about "remaining anonymous".

We have all of MASH on dvd and I have seen all the Christmas ones over and over! They made 3 Christmas ones the entire 11 seasons.
M*A*S*H is my all time favorite show, I got CAH hooked on it too, in fact that episode is one of her favorites. I don't particularly like that one, it depresses me. I love that one too from Season 1, Dear Dad! =) "The following personnel have volunteered to go on a ten-mile fitness hike". *silence*
That's quite an episode ... I can't remember if that's the one where they all sing Dona Nobis Pacem.
That is different one from season 7 titled, Dear Sis. I love that one too! I love the part where Charles is surprised with a stocking cap from Radar that he had his mom mail to him. At the end they sing that song with Father Mulcahy.

sorry for my hockey rant.

More hockey rants are needed. They certainly lacked their traditional physicality last night. They seem to have lost the chip on their shoulders that has been around with them for a couple years. That's led to this slight skid.

Although they gave up the lead, it was great to see them win in a shootout. Seguin's quick hands prevailed. What a move!

Good Morning!

Ice rain this morning, all school buses cancelled. Now it is turning into just rain. Sloppy mess out there this morning.

[Put a post in "Ask a Guru" so if you are good at computer tech stuff have a look please and see if you can help]

Morning, everyone! I am not making it to class this morning. I haven't slept good at all for two nights in a row now. I'd probably end up falling asleep in class. My mom and I are going to run some errands later on and I am going to study for a test tomorrow. I still have the lump above my jawline, but I think it'll go away. Hope you all have a good day! Almost Friday!

I was wondering what happened to you!!! I have missed you, your avatar, and your siggie!!!

Good morning MMC,

I feel like I'm missing everyone more simply because I've been so busy lately. It has been a crazy crazy week so far. My girlfriend and I celebrated an early Valentines dinner on Monday. Tuesday was crazy at work and the Tuesday night we went and saw The Vow. I did like it although I felt they could do a little more with it. Yesterday and I assume today will be crazy, my boss was unfortunately let go yesterday. She was the one who hired me and we had a great relationship. She was my mentor and we were very close. It is sad but I think ultimately for the best it just means possible rough waters ahead until everything is figured out. I have meetings all day and all night tonight for my business. Needless to say after this week I'm ready for the weekend. Glad to be back and glad to see all of you. Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day and it sounded like you did. Oh and @merrymistletoe, I too love Last Man Standing and anything with Tim Allen. I have all episodes of Home Improvement and let us not forget about the Santa Clause movies!

You are such a good and special friend!!!
