Christmas Countdown - 2012

It's lunch time!! I am eating my soup and salad. It's okay but my trainer told me he can only do so much if I don't follow a strict diet...in other words I need to eat better.lol I run 4 miles in the morning on a tread mill so I feel I can eat what I want! Anyhow the weekend is approaching...I am expecting my sister and bro in law to get here sunday afternoon!! they flew up in yesterday and are at disney I hope they don't get rained out!!!they are staying at disney hotel for 3 days so I am sure they will have fun!! Well I better go have a great midday everyone!

Good morning, MMC!

Well, it is a mess out there and a few school districts outside of my town are closed for today. It wasn't icy as most of the snow on the roads melted yesterday - it is now muddy and there is a potential for flooding in some areas. There is still snow on the ground where I live as we are surrounded by woods, but it is fast disappearing elsewhere in the area. Since the driveway was shoveled clear of snow, it is now quite boggy - I'd rather that than ice, though!!!

Good morning MMC!!!

Hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day. I had a lovely evening with my hunny- bunny!!!

We have been very busy hiking is in full swing as the weather has been so mild here in NY and the surrounding areas. Of course Snicker's is loving it. But, I think she misses the snow!!!

Well my husband is in the mist of expanding his business and I am helping him, so not a lot of spare time. He also wants a web site set up and to be honest, I have reached out to some companies but also toyed with the idea of those do it yourself ones, but I've never done anything like that before so I am not sure, very undecided. It is crazy all the options out there maybe a little overkill in a way. I do not even maintain a facebook page, in fact I have never even been on facebook, twitter, or anything like that. So, here I am trying to help get the permits in place and all the "little" things that go into it - HA, HA, HA!!!

Other then that life is moving along we just have our hands full with this expansion, not to mention my Regular full time job it has been very busy!

It was so nice to check in and I was able to put in my "vote" for MOM!!! YAY!!! I hope this person wins!!!!

I do so hope you are all doing well, I do need to read through and see how everyone is but I do think of you all and hope all is very well.

Good morning mmc friends

Any one under the weather hope your feeling a bit better today
Weather is cold and can hear the wind outside and its raining slightly
Am up from 5.30 was sleeping last night at 10. had 3 pallets yesterday and it was hard but got them all done. have 2 today as well. its a bit easier now as i have 2 new guys on the scheme as well so i have got into a system of pallets 2 days a week and they can take the rest of the week of. they stay until all is done on the 2 days.
A lot of the birds outside is sitting on eggs and its seems abit to early!! as one set, a pair of amazon.s they only breed once a year and if the eggs dont come out that is them to next year. truth am not that bothered yes of course i love to see then have babies as they make a lot of money hand reared.. but i miss going out the back and not hearing the she bird out as she is a really great talker and laughts like a child. but i take her out wee treats twice a day and she always comes out of the nest box.
Other than that not much happening just the usual
Was saying about my next door neighour. well i rung the marie currie cancer care to see if they wood provide sits some nights and they now have a sitter for 2 nights a week. she can still get up from bed but she is tara weak. it broke her heart when her daughter died last month.
She keeps saying to me " michelle i just want to die " what do i say back to that ? i just say dont be silly but i think she knows.
Anyway the tea is cold in the cup so the kettle is going on lol

Bless your heart for all you do, shellie. That must be tough to hear your friend say that, there really isn't an easy response. All you can do is be a good friend & neighbor, and you're already awesome at that :wink: Hang in there, friend. Sending hugs!!

Me too me too!!! depending on what you consider redneck...but one year we had a "hillbilly hoedown" theme for our Christmas party!! I really did not have to dress up for it,I already had a cowboy hat and boots so I just wore that.lol I have pics of the party on my profile page under "hillbilly hoedown" at least I think it is...but it was fun anyway.!!!

We're doing this party for fun, to boost morale around here. It'll be very tongue in cheek. We're all a bunch of rednecks already, lol! We ordered a bunch of cool party favors & decorations, and I'm making some "homemade ones". We're calling it a redneck block party on trailer row. We have a bunch of trailers set up in our back construction yard. I work out of one of them. They basically have us in these trailers because they ran out of office space inside, so we have @ 3 other trailers in use that we're running different jobs out of. I'm hanging up party lights, and running clotheslines in between the trailers. I'll be hanging up some hunting/fishing clothes, camo pants & boxers, old undergarments, etc. Should be hilarious! Hope the weather holds out!

Forgot to mention that we went out to a nice quiet place for an Italian dinner last night for Valentine's Day. (In fact, we were the only ones in Papa Gino's last night! cheesy ) Seriously, we're so compatible and considerate of each other year-round that Valentine's Day is no different from the rest of the year. I'm very blessed in that way.

What a lovely thing to be able to say about your spouse! Congratulations on finding such love.

Happy Thursday everyone...I seem to be a day behind this week.

Happily, my step-niece came home from the hospital last night. She doesn't have a cast; only the rods in her arm and an ace-type bandage. I checked with my sister, and she does have to have to rods left in for several months-not clear on exact reasons here. My poor niece is heartbroken because she won't be able to play baseball or wrestle for awhile, so we're already spoiling her to make her feel better. At least she doesn't have to wear an itchy cast for several months!

Thursday is more than halfway over. I can't wait to get home and lay down... and then have to get up and go to the gym. Oh well. I do it to myself, but I really enjoy it. I went to the gym last night, but today will be something totally different. I hadn't planned on squatting until next week, but the rack was open when I arrived. I tried it. It felt great. So, I cautiously squatted what I had planned to next Sunday or Monday. I am ahead of schedule!

Kim and I just stayed in last night. She was supposed to go to Pilates, but pinched a nerve in her upper back. She laid down for much of the night. I felt bad for her! Tonight, she can rest again while I am at the gym. There really isn't a whole lot else happening. I'm ready for the weekend! Come on, Friday!

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful day so far. Our next milestone is less than two weeks away and we are already into the second half of the second month of the year!

Hmm your riight we are now in Late Feb!!! or at least the second part of it. January and Feb are my 2 least favorite months of the year because it's the cold empty months after the holidays!!! SPring is around the corner and although nothing is blooming yet way down here in the south,if you look very hard you can see things on the verge of change!!!

Hi all...just stopping by to say hello to my friends at MMC. I have been keeping busy with my new grandson, but did make time the other day to pack my Christmas decorations away more neatly than when they came down! I usually consider it an accomplishment to get them to the basement after the Epiphany and then work on it later. I like to think about the next Christmas as I put things away and what I might do differently next time around. I love my Christmas closet...it's my own little treasure trove! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day and that things are well in your part of the world. Thanks for sharing your experiences for good or for bad as we all travel along toward Christmas 2012!!

I am just checking in as I haven't been here for a few days...I had to call off work today because of a degenerated disk in my back...I thought I would be able to make it through but I am having trouble sitting in one place for long.....

I am so neglectful of my Christmas family anymore....I know there is another member having back problems but I can't seem to find the post about it...I hope you feel better soon...xo.

I know there are so many of our family who have health and family issues...I am praying for you all

I have the feeling my mom never wants to take me grocery shopping with her ever again. We ended up going way over budget! I ended up with Oreos, Oreo brownies, Oreo cakesters, Lays chips, cool ranch Doritos, Twinkies, milk chocolate Philadelphia cream cheese spread, colby Cheez-Its, mozzarella Cheez-Its, red hots, party mints, fruit flavored gummies, Heluva Good dip, and mint chocolate chip ice cream.

MAJOR junk food addiction. Of course I'll work out after eating it all, except I am small and have a fast metabolism so I can't gain weight no matter how hard I try.
