We are talking about one of the kids that dance in Charlie Brown Christmas reminds Snow-in-Texas and I of Frankenstein and Xmas366 called it Lawnmower dance. It's funny because as long as Snow-in-Texas and I have been together I didn't know he thought of him as Frankenstein too until Xmas366 said "Lawnmower". Ha ha! It does look like he's mowing!

Almost looks like he is moonwalking too, maybe that's where Michael Jackson got it. He was watching Charlie Brown Christmas and said "Hey what a cool dance, but it would be cooler if he was doing that and moving backward".

Hi my mmc friends
Hows is all of you .good i hope
Monday again hope you all had a very good weekend. mine was ok
This week starts lent over here . and am sure everywhere else in the world to.
Tomorrow is pancake tuesday its always the day befour ash wednesday
Its a tradition to make or buy pancakes dont ask me why
I have bought some pamcake mix in a bottle that you add water to but i add milk. and shake it got a few last week and made then . they come out very thin but they are lovley wth maple strup.
They were eat as soon as they were made.!!! so got some more to make tomorrow..
Then comes wednesday. its a fast day so it will be fish for dinner !! and at mass they give out ash.s. you go up and get then on your forehead so you run round a day with a black mark on your head..
Anyway hoping your day is good and all furbabies is good
You all take care and talk later

That sounds like my kind of Tuesday, delicious! If you like them thicker maybe add a little bit more of the mix or less milk to it. That's one thing that can be difficult with the bottle mix - it's hard to figure out the consistency. While I do not go to church, I still do not eat meat on Ash Wednesday, nor will I eat it on Friday's from now on. I hope you have a good day!

Goooooood Morning MMC!!!!!!!! IT's 441am is everyone up????? Anyways I am strugglin this morning and I needed to do that...it still feels like Sunday night to me!!MY sister and Bro in law from California came in last night and we stayed up way tooooo late since I had to get up this early. They are here until thurs and I so wish I did not have to work but I do...Brandi will be here to entertain them while I am gone.lol well I will go get ready everyone have a great early morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4:41 AM is a little too early for my liking - especially on a Monday! Drink coffee, lots of coffee! Or get in the Christmas spirit and drink some hot chocolate with peppermint! I hope you have a wonderful time this week with your sister and brother in law! Although you are tired today, isn't it fun to stay up late and catch up? It is a shame that you couldn't get some time off while your sister is visiting. Hope you have a great day and I hope Jordan is doing well!

Good Morning!

I'm up and already had breakfast. I just know I'm going to need a snack by 9 haha. Well, right now I'm debating if I want to join Weight Watchers for the 3rd (or 4th....) but do it online (since it's a bit cheaper). One of my advantages is that I've been tracking my food intake since 1/1/12. That's the longest I've EVER done that!

Also, I'm in the category where I really don't need to lose much (10 lbs. at the most) and I think WW just might be the thing to help me lose this bit of extra baggage that is driving me NUTS!!

I always say: if you have the motivation, go for it! Since you have been tracking your food intake since the new year, give it a shot. Trying it out again couldn't hurt anything and you will really see your results. It is much easier to keep a track of/control your progress when you know exactly what you are eating. Ten pounds really isn't much to lose (which is a great thing of course), so I have a feeling you'll be able to do it with no trouble. Good luck if you choose to!

hi all
Have just figured out sasha one of my bover dogs has a kidney infection
this past few days she has been drinking a lot of water and going to the toilet a lot
Early on she i saw there was a little blood and so on!! in her water so am going for antibiotics which is likely to cause a row as they will tell me to bring her down. our local vets are all for money . and they are gonna tell me something i already no as i did my traning as a veterinary nurse. and no a kidney infection when i see one.
I wood not take anything to them. but i will end up getting them as i used to work for them years ago . it has changed hands now but the owner that i worked for at the time has still a say in it. and i will ring him if i have to.
She will be find i know she does not seen in any pain or discomfort. but the sooner a thing is looked into the better

Oh no! I am sorry that Sasha has a kidney infection, that is terrible. It is a good thing you have the knowledge that you do and were able to recognize it early. I hope that she is okay and I am sure that she will be fine in no time. At least she does not seem to be in pain or discomfort which is always a good thing. The sooner the fix, the better! Take care of yourself too, don't worry!

Good morning! President's Day is today so no school. How I love getting up early on no school days! About to lay down and watch a little tv. See ya later.

I am so, so jealous! I feel that college should take the same stance on President's Day as all school districts do. I unfortunately still have classes today. I hope you relax and enjoy your day off!

Yes.
Used to be celebrated as Washington's birthday but later changed to honor all presidents.

Good Morning, Everyone.

Hey!
It snowed here last night!
First snow of the season.
Very light, but at least it's snow.
Cold here too, with the thermometer standing at 34 degrees.
Should warm up REAL nice, though, and the weather service is promising 70 degrees by Thursday.
Yay!

OK
The first count of the new week:
Days to the Season: 267
Days to Christmas Day: 309
And there you have it -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 300-day Christmas Day Milestone!
(That one sure got here quickly, didn't it?)

Allrightaringo, Folks!
You have a Marvelous Monday.....in keeping with the situation.

Woo hoo to snow! It is always nice seeing the white fluffy stuff, even if you expect it or not. Single digits is so exciting. Christmas will be creeping up on us once again very, very soon. (Can't say I'm disappointed of course!) Have a great Monday!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's a cold morning here but we are headed towards 50 degrees later today. I have some errands to run today and then I have to babysit for awhile later this evening. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cold mornings are never too bad when you know that it is going to warm up later on! 50 degrees isn't too shabby for it being in the middle/end of February, huh? I hope that your errands are productive! Enjoy babysitting, I hope the kid/s is/are good for you! Play board games, those always go over the best. Have a wonderful day!

That is too funny - it made my morning! I always thought of it as the Lawnmower dance as well. It looks like he is going back and forth mowing the lawn. So funny!

Good morning everyone, and happy President's day. I hope everyone got to sleep in this morning. I've got work today, since I work for a doctor's office, it's one of our busier days. Everyone else has off, so they want to come visit us. Eh, at least tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday-maybe we can go out to eat.

I am sorry that you have to work today, but I know the feeling since I have to go to classes. That comment about being busy doesn't make me feel good - LOL. I just made a doctor appointment for my lump today and they already had to squeeze me in to begin with. I hate waiting! I hope your day goes by quickly for you and that you actually are not too busy at all. Have a good day!

scones in the oven, kitchen clean (for now) new CN tower 1/2 made, already looking better.

It is a beautiful sunny day here so I think we may go for a drive later. I do have a meeting to go to at church (board members forgot it was a holiday today)

Please send scones my way, thank you! LOL! You are making me jealous. I love the days when it is gorgeous out and I can just drive around with the windows down, soaking it all up. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Presidents day is another one of those holidays which is a non holiday as far as I am concerned. Schools are closed and banks are closed and stuff like that, but I have to work. So it is just another day to me.

I remember when Lincoln's birthday and Washington's birthday used to be separate holidays, but I guess someone figured that was too many days off, so they combined them together.

I was expecting a call from my boss asking me to come in early because the first shift guy took today off, but no call yet. She told me to be expecting a call around 8:00 AM, here it is 8:45 and still no call. Good I didn't want to go in early anyway.

I agree with your comment! In college, it's nothing different for me - classes as usual and a test today of course. I'm sure that is exactly how it goes! Nobody likes to give us anytime off, so combining the holidays is much easier for them. I hope that you don't have to go in early! That way your day can be shorter and a bit more relaxing. Have a good day!

--------------------------------------------------------

Good morning, everyone! I promised that I would get caught up on some posts and I felt so bad because I wasn't even replying to anyone's comments individually.

I am only going to my first class today (which I have a test in) because my mom scheduled me a doctor appointment. I am going to get that annoying lump checked out above my jawline. I just want to get this appointment over with. I am constantly feeling my face to see if it goes away, and it's just getting on my nerves. My appointment is at 3:30, so keep me in your thoughts/prayers! I do not think that it is going to be anything, but you never know. I don't want to go in with an overly-confident attitude and have it turn out to be something serious.

Monday's - they creep up way too quickly on us! At least I will only have to deal with one class today because typically Monday's are my long day. It is super bright and sunny out, although not super warm. I actually hear the birds singing and chirping which is putting me in such a good mood. It reminds me of spring/summer!

Have a wonderful day, everyone! I hope that work isn't too hectic and that you can have a relaxing evening!

I'm full, so it looks like a little Pawn Stars on Netflix while I lay in bed.

I love "Pawn Stars"---I got Season 2 and the first part of Season 3 for Christmas. I may be watching some of those today.

THAT sounds a good way to spead a monday... o by the way what is presidents day ???( is it a day to honour your u s president)

I remember when Lincoln's birthday and Washington's birthday used to be separate holidays, but I guess someone figured that was too many days off, so they combined them together.

That's what I always thought was the origin of Presidents Day---commemorating Washington and Lincoln in one day. I think it's partly an excuse for a winter break. Most of the public schools around here have the week off.

Hoping your a bit better this morning. its a hard one to get better from but at least you have a day of to relax.. you will relax wont you ???

You bet I will relax ... I don't really feel like I'm up to much else. Spent most of yesterday in bed watching Amazon Prime videos, but we did go out for a good meal.

I just made a doctor appointment for my lump today and they already had to squeeze me in to begin with. I hate waiting!

I'm hoping that it's nothing. You're doing the right thing by getting it checked out. If it's nothing, you can stop worrying, and if it's something that needs attention, you're on top of it.

Oh I love that dance scene..so adorable! Thanks for clearing that up....I almost feel like I should stand up and do a little "mowing" right here in the kitchen! LOL!
Thanks again!

Around here the grocery stores really push paczkis (pronounced poonch-keys) right up until Ash Wednesday, they are just like jelly doughnuts. I don't like them, but they go fast!

Good movie to watch on President's Day: Holiday Inn, it celebrates all holidays! cheesy

CM3: I love books, too - I have e-readers, but find I rarely use them for reading books, I use them for other things. I'm glad you had such a lovely time with your sister. I hope the Acetaminophen works for you!

MerryCarey: I hope you are better soon.

jennifer: I will be praying for you.

Shellie: I hope Sasha is better soon.

Christmasstar: nice find on the shelves.

Good afternoon, Christmas family!

It is a nice, sunny day out and I have been organizing and cleaning all morning. I have a pot of mystery soup bubbling merrily away - I freeze all the leftover vegetables and meat and once a month or so, I make a pot of soup.

Palmer survived her jump in the tub. Both cats had me up at 3:30 for empty bowl emergencies. I try to feed Palmer on a schedule, but she won't hear of it and Mouse has been able to nibble 24/7. It is hard to train them to eat at certain times as they are both very stubborn. I wonder who they learned that from

Have a MERRY day!!!

Good morning/afternoon!!

Shellie, thinking of you & Sasha. She is in our prayers, and I hope she is feeling better soon!! Harlowe is sending her big hugs, too. Please keep us posted. xo

When we were at the wedding last weekend we were talking about dances after everyday jobs around the house. We came up with a few, and years ago a friend of ours was the one who actually danced like Shermy and he called it the Lawnmower.
The list of everyday dances:

The Vacuum Cleaner-dance around pushing an arm out and pull it back

The Sprinkler-turn slowly with your arm out and then jump around fast to where you started from

Unloading the dishwasher-a lot like disco you reach down and then reach up as you are putting a dish away.

Wiping down the countertops- a lot like wax on wax off from Karate Kid, just horizontal instead of vertical.

There were more I can't remember right now, but it was really funny at the time.

I laughed when I read this and thinking about the last wedding I was at. On the dance floor on woman was teaching us the pizza dance. You simply pretend to to be putting together a pizza. It was so much fun, everyone was laughing and having a great time!
