Not a cheeky question at all! The 16GB is $199, the 32GB is $299, and the 64GB is $399. I am going to get the 32GB, hopefully that will fit all of my apps and songs!

No wonder my niece's knee's hurt.


She actually just had a good doctors appointment. No signs of active arthritis but he says her hip, knees, and calves are really weak. So she has to step up her physical therapy.

She is so cute! I am glad to hear she had a great appt.! I pray that the physical therapy helps! Thanks for updating us on her progress!

Good morning everyone,

Woke up to a much too warm 42 degrees. Thunderstorms are forecast tonight then a couple of days of cooler weather. Saturday's high should be a more comfortable 35 but no snow.

Ladies at work have planned a happy Thursday lunch with pinto beans, onions, and cornbread. Can't wait, wish they would do this every week. Should be an interesting afternoon...

My Mom's PET scan is today. We should get results early next week. I pray the cancer has not come back.

I've been very stubborn about not buying a smart phone. It's hard for me to justify another $30 a month (plus buying the phone in the first place) when I have internet service all day here at work, and all night at home. There are time when it would be handy, but not often enough.

I feel like an old man complaining about all the young whipper-snappers and their cell phones!

You are not old, you are smart about how you spend your money. If you are only going to use it every now and then, it certainly does not justify what it would cost you.

getting chiller out, apparently there is a storm coming our way. I remember winters were we had those, but have not had any yet this year. Kind of hoping it is a good, shut everything down storm, we have everything we need.

Soup sounds good! 6 inches of snow is more than we are supposedly going to get - we are in the 3.5 to 5 inch range. However much you get, stay safe!

I am glad you said that, Jennifer. It is SO helpful when others share. I bought my brand new (did I say new?) Vitamix based on info from CAH, for which I was so thankful. Info likes this helps us make decisions on what others know, experience, or prefer. Sorry, SIT, I just can't contribute to your car choice. I prefer Chevys, econo cars, and safe ones. So I would say Chevy, Honda, or Volvo.

I hadn't thought of it this way, Bradmac. But, I do like the idea of internet access anywhere, anytime. I would be willing to pay the price, I think, but the young whipper-snapper I am married to would not!!! LOL!!!

It's a lot easier for me when I'm at school compared to carrying around a laptop. I can stay in touch through email with my professors and group members when I need to. I think the 30 dollars is a ripoff for 2 gigabytes of data, especially when most people have unlimited for 30. I have my phone setup now so when I am home or anywhere with Wi-Fi that it uses that and not my data. It is also nice for me because it merged with my iPod basically.

I ended up with the 16GB and I bought it directly from the Verizon store. All I had to do was renew my contract which was no big deal at all. The phone was only $199 and then I got a case for $25. I chose not to buy the insurance because I think that is a ripoff. The insurance would have costed $125, and then if you do break the phone you have to pay an additional $50. If I am having insurance, I definitely don't want to have to pay when it breaks - that's the point!

I feel the same way, Brad!! Verizon tried to talk me into an iphone @ a year ago, and it would've been cheaper initially (which in itself surprised me!), but it's that crazy data plan $30 per month. I got a phone that has internet accesss & GPS, but I only pay an extra $9 for that =)
I didn't want all the fancy stuff that I wouldn't use.
Next time we need phones, we may not be so lucky. Verizon said that in the future, smart phones may be the only option...Boo!
Guess that will force us to be technologically advanced :wink:
