Greetings and happy Friday friends. Taking a weekend road trip to Galena, IL, one of my favorite little towns on the planet. Looking forward to enjoying the nice shops, restaraunts, and historical sites. And then relax in the pool and sauna. Hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe weekend.

Well, well, well. I won some drawings from the Volunteer Fire Department breakfast: a long-sleeved T-shirt, a hat, a hair dryer, some local honey, a box of John Deere toys, and a bag of individually packaged nuts and chocolates. What a pleasant surprise!!! I hope y'all have a great day!

The meteorologists called for rain this afternoon, but we got nothing more than a few sprinkles. Now all of the sudden we have warnings for severe thunderstorms and a wind warning. I am looking at a weather map and I see all of the severe weather, including tornadoes, are southwest of us. The way the storms are are moving is northeast so it means they are coming towards me. Hopefully they shift a little bit and we don't get much.

I am hoping for no tornadoes or severe weather but it's really starting to thunder out there and there is a lot of lightning.

Stay safe anyone else who is experiencing bad weather!

Well we made it through the storms with just a few small dents to deal with. It doesn't look like southern Indiana got so lucky. The pictures coming out of there are pretty bad. I hope everyone south and east of me stays safe!!!!!!!

Good evening, everyone! How are you all doing this evening? Well, my plans really changed for today!

I ended up working until 11:00 am this morning. They needed someone to stay and do 12 hours, which I voluntarlily will do if I can, so no one else will have to. I ended up not making the bread or the crock pot dinner I planned on, so I think I will do all that tomorrow.

I plan on this evening getting caught up on here and spending time with DH. He works in the morning, so it will be the kids and I getting to spend lots of time together tomorrow!

No, that's nostalgic, but not vintage. I mean seriously vintage, like early 1900s into the mid-1920s. I collected some files of old Christmas/winter cylinders and 78s off the Internet and burned them onto a CD, and I keep it in my car. The oldest one I have is a band arrangement of the Hallelujah Chorus, recorded in 1894. Sometime when I have the energy and motivation I may put together an hour-long show of these for MCR.

That sounds like it would be pretty cool!!!!

The dramatic changes are really messing with the cold that I have and making it worse. My throat has been so bad the past few days. I just can't seem to shake this cold no matter what I do.

We just had a storm blow through - thunder, lightening and hail. It is very windy out now. Stay safe!!!

Well we made it through the storms with just a few small dents to deal with. It doesn't look like southern Indiana got so lucky. The pictures coming out of there are pretty bad. I hope everyone south and east of me stays safe!!!!!!!

lots of rain and wind, settled a bit now but I see on the radar we will get a bit more yet.

Put a cake in the oven that is for Sunday's farewell party for our pastor. Hope the power does not go out!
