Those sirens are eerie, aren't they? We don't have a storm siren in Bellville (the closest one is in nearby Claxton), but the school my children attend is only a couple blocks away, and they recently installed a lightning detection system with a siren. A young boy was struck by lightning on a clear day during track practice. He survived, but it took quite a bit of rehab.Very glad to hear that you are safe. I'm sure it's terrible when you're getting the warnings and sirens and have your mind full of finding a safe place to ride it out if necessary. I heard on the radio that the NWS is now using stronger (more dramatic) language in their warnings because they're afraid that the public has gotten in the habit of ignoring warnings.
Anyway, when the storm clouds and winds gather, then that siren starts blaring, Bellville gets pretty creepy!
Glad CAH, SIT and everyone else in the area is ok!
