Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here in central Indy. That's okay though because I don't have anything to do outside. My main goal for today is bake some muffins up for breakfast his week and maybe make some cinnamon rolls to put in the freezer. Then I'll kick back and watch the race this evening and listen to the Greasy Skillett. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

I hope so too, but she hasn't been taking a nap for the last couple of days. She says now she doesn't need one. She's a big girl. Grr on that too!

Yes thats sounds maybe a plan , that what i was trying to say about the blanket my neice carried with her. and slept with. it seemed to be a friend or a comfort thing something for her to cuddle to

Gee...thanks. I am trying to eat healthy for at least 2 meals of the day (most days). I had a Special K bar and english muffin for breakfast. Although it did fill me up, I would have rather had what Brad cooked!

Of course you want her to be ok. anyone wood. but am just saying that you need sleep to. your run yourself down !! there i go again ! and her as well if she is up. or does she go back to sleep ?
She seems to have a great mum and dad. that can work well round the kids am sure its not easy at times. am always here if you want me to shout at or rant to. an used to it . live over here and your no what i mean lol...

Thanks, Shellie! Yes, she always does go back to sleep. Although sometimes, it's not always in her own bed, it's in ours. I hope we never start that with our son, but from almost every parent I've ever talked, but not all, it's hard to prevent.

So I think I finally discovered it! It's like you sometimes have to be a detective. She just says to me: "My mouth hurts, Mommy." She I feel inside her mouth and she is getting one of her 2 year molars. Anytime she gets a tooth, she is a bear sleeping and during the day too. She says, "That's why I come to your big bed." Hopefully problem solved!

So I think I finally discovered it! It's like you sometimes have to be a detective. She just says to "My mouth hurts, Mommy." She I feel inside her mouth and she is getting one her 2 year molars. Anytime she gets a tooth, she is a bear sleeping and during the day too. She says, "That's why I come to your big bed." Hopefully problem solved!

I hope so, too! Yes - I can give her Tylenol or Ibuprofen to help with the pain, which with help her sleep, too. Also, I can get stuff to actually rub on her gums, which numbs the gums. They make teething rings too, which are more for babies. They are cool and soothing.

I have to work all day at Bernie's tomorrow, and we're training a new girl, so it should be a busy day.

Well I stopped by Hobby Lobby while I was out and didn't see any sign of chrsitmas decorations coming out yet.:-( I know I'm a couple of month's early but I thought I would give it a shot since I was right next door. I did notice they were hiring. Maybe I should apply so I can get an employee discount when I buy all of those ornaments this fall.

That would be something if they started putting the Christmas stuff out now! cheesy

I know at our locations I start seeing stuff in June.

On the bright side---at least my job is secure.

I tried to catch up on here but it's not happening! =)

Wayne just left for a golf tournament with the church. Several of them wanted me to join but I have never golfed in my life! I have only played miniature golf and not even that good at that. They didn't seem to care if I had any experience but I would ruin our team if I joined in. Wayne plans to take me to a driving range sometime to learn. Maybe I will join the tournament next year.

I talked Wayne into joining last year because he don't get a chance to golf very often. I am glad he went again this year, he will have fun! Saturday is the only day we both have off together but we will do something when he gets back. =)

Good evening, dear Christmas family.

I am really sad tonight....my little Chihuahua, Ivy, is in the hospital in very serious condition. She seems to have developed some sort of heart condition.........She has beeng choking and gagging and today she would not eat....I called the doctor right away and when my husband got home he took her. The vet told my husband that her tongue is blue and she is cyanotic. He did x-rays and has severe pulmonary edema. When I spoke to him on the phone he said he put her on oxygen and started her on Lasix which is a diuretic.....

He was very serious so I know that Ivy is near dying........I can't tell you how this hurts, I know that you all understand. I just hope the treatment works and that it is not too late....I know she is 14 but we both love her so much.......I had to work this afternoon and once I found out how bad her condition is I could barely concentrate......

If you could all spare a prayer or two for my Ivy, that would be so wonderful.......Thanks everyone.....I am going to sign off for now...

Long day today, we just got home a little less than 2 hours ago, today is JP's 7th birthday, my first born baby is getting so big. We went to my in-laws for a mini celebration, his party is Sunday. My sister will be getting in tomorrow afternoon, I am working, so my wife will be picking her, and my niece and nephew at Bradley Field in Windsor Locks, CT. So there will be 3 adults a 7, 4, 3, and 1 year old running around the house for 5 days, it is school vacation week now, and we are planning to go to Six Flags on Tuesday.

Great hockey game last night, overtime win was very exciting, tomorrow afternoon for game 2. Hockey playoffs are my second favorite time of year right after Christmas.

Good morning, dear Christmas family! How is everyone doing? I'm well. I got about 5 hours of sleep - not total, but I laid down a little after 12 and got up around 5, but I know I didn't sleep that totally!

EA walked into my room crying and crawled up into my bed around 2 and has been there since, then DS woke up at 5 and here we are! I was hoping he would go back to sleep, but he was ready to get up for the day.

As for EA, my daughter, she has had a big week since Easter and I am so proud of her. I haven't talked about it, but will now. Some of you will think my DH and I'm crazy and if you want to, that's okay. Every parent does things differently. My inlaws even think we're crazy.

We've been potty training her since she's been 18 months because she's been interested. She a lot of times wouldn't have an accident at home anymore, even at night. At daycare though, that was a different story. This past week, since she's 2 1/2, at daycare and at home, she has been starting to wear "big girl pants" and hasn't been having accidents. The key was to the "round #2 on the potty. Haha - she finally did it! She was scared to do it for some reason, but she finally did it. She loves going on the potty now. I'm so proud of her.

Her's the downside though - in the same week, (where the glares may come in), we had already planned to take her pacifier, her "binky" and she was going to put in her basket for the Easter bunny. Other parents gave me this idea. I thought at 2 1/2 this wasn't a big deal at all. She was so attached that she would take it everywhere. She would even take my son's out of his mouth. We've actually taken my son's, except at night and he hardly ever uses his.

She now for the past week for a couple of the nights hasn't slept through all night, in her own bed. Grrr....we had to eventually take it sometime. I didn't want to wait to long. I guess what I am trying to do is convience myself that this is just an adjustment period, right?

Sorry this was such a long post.
