Hello everybody - you have no idea how many times I have thought about all of you & my little Christmas home here in the last month, but it has been -not a good month. One month ago today my brother passed away. He was mountain biking on St. Patty's Day when he had a heart attack & died instantly. The autopsy report is not back yet, but my brother has been talking to the coroner (my bro is a retired cop so he has all the "inside" information) March 17th was a gorgeous day in Ohio. I was having the greatest day - I went for a long walk in the morning, then took the dog for a walk, then I went to the lake & went for my 1st bike ride of the season. I got home & I was hanging clothes on the line thinking how it was one of them days that it is just so perfect it seems like something bad is going to happen to shatter the bubble. It was kind of an eerie feeling looking back. About an hour later I got a phone call from an investigater who was with my brothers wife, telling me what had happened. :( Life changes in an instant, and it will never be the same. We miss him so much! :( I am so thankful for my big family so we can go through this together (though it stinks) & our wonderful friends & especially for nothing but wonderful memories of Mike. I honestly can not remember a bad memory of Mike. He was such a happy person, always making people smile & doing whatever he could do to make the world a better place. As his co-workers said "he made the sun shine brighter & our lives are better for having known him" And now my goal is to model my life by his - what an honor to be his sister!

Ok - sorry to be such a downer tonight. I wanted to let you know the reason I haven't been around. We really are doing alright coping, but it's one day at a time! Just keep smiling!

Now I am going to read some of your recent posts b/c I know you all will make me smile! :)

I hope everyone is doing well!

I am so sorry for your loss Holiday.

Good evening, Christmas family

I just did a great big long post and when I went to post it, was redirected to another page....

In a nutshell, Ivy is not doing well ....None of the treatments have worked.....If she is not improved tomorrow we are going to have to, well I don't even want to say it. It just hurts too much.

Thank you EVERYONE for all your prayers and concern. I can't tell you how thankful I am and greatful to all of you.....

God bless xo and ((Hugs)) to all especially Ella, Snickers, Harlowe, Snowball, Palmer, Mouse, Scooby, Sasha, Chico and siblings, Gomez and siblings, Pocket, and all furkids everywhere. Be sure to give your furkids extra hugs...I wish I had given Ivy more.....xo

My thoughts are with you, Louann.

Good evening,

Six Flags was a blast, so glad we bought season passes this year. The kids did very well, considering a 7, 4, 3, and 1 year old almost did 8 hours there with little complaining. I got JP to ride a roller coaster with me, I love roller coasters, I don't think he will ever ride another, he was so scared. The Teacups were more his speed, maybe a few years from now we can ride some coasters. The only thing I really have to complain about are the prices of the food, $13 for a hamburger! We were going to go to BK but these, um, dirtbags got there at the same time we did and were openly doing drugs, we did not want to expose our children to that so we left and decided to eat at the park instead. I am really tired now, late day tomorrow, hopefully I can get here tomorrow before the maintenance.

Have a good night!

Holiday, Thinking of you in your loss. I'll bet Mike was proud to be your brother.

Louann, You are in my thoughts. I know your love of Ivy will help you in your decision.

MC, Hopefully your work will decrease and your energy will increase.

Jennifer, Good news from the dentist. Never hesitate to ask for prayer.

Mcgramsey, Thinking of your mom. Maybe a miracle will happen. Wishing a peace and a lessening of pain.

Made, Hopefully someone with some brains will come in contact with your niece.

To everyone, have a great evening. Take care of furbabies and peeps babies.

hows your cold/flu

She is doing ok. She gets tired easily and has some constant pain from the cancer and arthritis but she is tough. She goes to Wake Forest to see her Oncologist later this month. We're not expecting anything new. Hopefully it stays slow growing and away from vital organs. She has lots of scar tissue in her pelvic area from all the surgeries and the cancer is currently isolated in the scar tissue.

This may be more than you wanted to know but thank you very much for asking and for your prayers.

God bless ya"ll mgramsey! i will be praying for you & your family! i pray the pain subsides for your mama!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I was out yesterday at a track meet with my son. We had to go to Sandersville, GA, which is a couple hours away. We left the school at 10 a.m., and his only event at this meet was at 6 p.m. THAT was a lonnngg day. Luckily, one of the moms had one of those collapsible tent/gazebo things in her car. I told I'd carry it if I could enjoy the shade, too. That thing weighed almost 50 pounds and I had to carry it 300 yards...LOL. I had the tent on my left shoulder, and two folding chairs and a camera in my right hand. The shade was nice, though. And with all the other moms that gathered there, I'm now caught up on all the gossip!

I hope y'all have a great day!

aah yes the things we do for our kids. nothing like putting a bunch of women together, you always get the jist on what's going on! i can say that because i am female! lol

I am really upset. My parents hired one of our family friends a few weeks ago to start cutting my grandpa's lawn throughout the spring and summer. Well, we ran into the guy a couple of days ago and he told us that he went over three times and the lawn was cut already. We called my grandpa to ask him why he would keep cutting the grass when we hired someone. My grandpa told us that he never showed up and the lawn got so high that he had to go out and do it himself. He said he waited week after week and he never came. Mind you, my grandpa will be 87 years old this summer. Normally he is very stubborn, but he even admitted to us that he is really starting to feel his age and that he almost couldn't bear to do it. He said by the time he was done cutting his lawn he was so exhausted that he felt physically ill. My grandpa has an old kind of lawn mower too that requires a lot of extra work to use and my dad who is 60 gets worn out from using it. Now we are all very concerned that my grandpa is going to keep going out to cut it himself because he does not think that the person will show up.

My grandpa was nice enough to give our family friend his riding lawn mower years ago for free because he didn't think he'd need it and this guy can't even take twenty minutes to come over and cut his grass with it? I'm really disappointed and now I constantly have to worry if my grandpa is going to be out in the 80° F passing out or worse trying to cut his lawn. I don't think that someone who is 87 years old should be doing much outside let alone standing around for over an hour cutting grass.

Sorry to rant. I just wish there was something I could do.

oh girl, after giving the creep a piece of my mind i would definitely get someone else. sorry your grandpa had to do this, tell him next time to call someone 1st, but hopefully there will not be a next time he has to.

That was very nice of your boss! I sure you feel better soon...you're starting to worry me!

oh sweety no need to worry, i think everyone that's had this has taken a few weeks to recover. thanks for your concern friend!

Good afternoon, MMC friends! How is everyone doing? I hope everyone is all well. As the rest of you all are concerned, I am as well about Cm3 and Ivy.

Not much is going on here. We're getting take-out from Applebees for dinner and then I am going to spend sometime with DH and the kiddos. Tonight is my last night of work, then I am off tomorrow.

Tomorrow, the hospital is having a birthday meal that I will be attending - they hold one each month for everyone's birthday's for that month. Mine is obviously this month. My mom's was on the 10th, so we'll be going together (she works there too). We're going to do that, then we're going to spend the rest of the day together because my birthday is Sunday. After that, DH, the kids, and my MIL are going to order a pizza (she's watching DS), so we can take EA to the circus. It should be a very fun day and I'm very excited!!!

Well, I am going to go for now. I just finished another book on my NOOK this morning. I had to finish it before I went bed it was so good. I am currently starting another. Talk to you guys here later on!

Cm3: Thinking about you and praying very hard. Check in when you feel the time is right.

sugar your b-day plans sound fabulous! i hope you have a blast girl!!

Well the Neurologist was at least truthful and said they have no Idea. Basically just wait and see if it happens again.

In other news the Colts have only 1 prime time game this year and it's on a Thursday. So I guess we know how the NFL feels they are going to do.

oh man, i was hoping for some answers for your niece & family, still praying for her made!

I've been putting out the "weed & feed" on my lawn, and now the sprinkler is running. Hopefully those ol' nasty weeds will be a thing of the past!

i'm laughing while reading this.....if it weren't for the weeds in our yard we would have very very little green!!!

ya' know what guys? ok, the site will be down from tonight @ 9pm thru tomorrow right? i hope i'm not being too forward, but why don't we use that time to be in special prayer for each other here? there's so many of us who really need it now & i was thinking we could use that "down time" as a time of prayer for each other. just thinking out loud.

love, hugs, & great big smiles cheesy to all ya'll!!!

oh yeah, i'm still vaping, no cigs in 5 days so far!! woop woop!

Just stopping by to say a quick hello.
H E L L O !

My youngest daughter is in her bed with fever today..
Poor little one..

The sun is shining today,
so you find me on my terrace with a good book!
Hope you have a great Wednesday! =]

I'll be back later =]

Good Morning, Everybody.

Hey!
It's Practically Perfect for 'Pines Day, Guys!

And what a perfectly wonderful count figure we have prepared for you this morning:
Days to the Season: 208
Days to Christmas Day: 250
Well, would you look at that.....
ONE WEEK from today is the 1/3 mark to Christmas Day.
ONE WEEK from tomorrow is the grand opening of the the 200-day Season Window!
(Don't you just love these rare double-Milestones?)

Yesterday was our last really warm day and today should be a good 10-15 degrees cooler.
Actually, that's good since it had really gotten a bit TOO warm for mid April around here.
Currently, we read 61 degrees and it is supposed to stay a bit below 70 all day.

Okie-Dokie!
May each and every one of you have a great visit to the Shispering Pines today.
Enjoy the fun -- but watch out for a certain camel's attempts to get you to try one of his weird coffee blends.
(If you really feel experimental, be sure to get there early -- before a certain individual who will remain nameless but who frequently comments on my sleeping habits.)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

Cm3: Thinking of you.

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a nice day here in central Indy with a high near 70 degrees. I don't have anything planned for today but I'll probably end up at my sister's house sometime today to say happy birthday to my youngest niece. We are having her party on Saturday. I also need to run by the grocery store for milk and bread. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good morning! It is a LOVELY day in Ohio today too! I'm really looking forward to a trip to the Pines today. I'm leaving shortly to make sure I get some of that special weird blend! :D I already drank my coffee this morning - how is a girl supposed to get through the rest of the morning with no coffee??? I'm so thankful for Carl!!!

cm3 - thinking about you today. That's so hard!

Thanks again for all your kind words, thoughts & prayers. My brother Mike was 58. He had so many good years left in him... :( It's still hard to believe!

merrymistletoe - great idea. It sure does look like there are lots of our friends here who could use some thoughts & prayers! Life gets a little tough sometimes!

Christmasstar - you keep that frost! I would like to be done with that for a long while!!

Solice - hope your daughter gets better really quick!

Make it a great day - see you at the Pines!
