My blood test was normal; well, as normal as it could be!!! Another chemo on Monday and the doctor said the hair will probably come off next week. Who needs any?

So my sister has booked a cabin down at Lincoln state park right by Santa Claus, Indiana for the last week of may. When she picked up my niece this afternoon I mentioned that I may come down and visit them one day and then head over to check out the town. She told me I wasn't allowed. That they just wanted to get away for awhile.:x Uh hello. I just planned out your whole vacation for you because you didn't even know what all was there. Not to mention the fact that I just babysat your kids for 2 weeks so you could go to Seattle. Now you can't even let me stop by for a couple of hours during your week long vacation. Let's see what happens the next time I'm told I have to babysit without even being asked first.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I finally got a haircut yesterday, and although there was apparently a bit of drama going on between the three ladies that work there, it turned out pretty good. At one point the girl cutting my hair, while having a barely-civil conversation with a fellow hairdresser, walked out in tears...with half of my head cut! I thought I would leave and come back another day...but half of my head was cut!

She finally came back (15 mintues later), apologized, and started cutting again. Her hands were shaking, and she hooked my ear a couple times with that sharp comb of hers, but we got through it with minimal bloodshed. Yippee!

I'll be opening Bernie's store tomorrow, then I have to go to my cousin's grandmother's funeral, then we're going to Elizabeth's dance recital. Sounds like I have a full day in store.

Right now the craft stores are putting out the patriotic goodies for the Memorial Day/Flag Day/Fourth of July season. They even have the red-white-and-blue decorations out at the supermarket, trying to get folks in the spirit for outdoor grilling. I don't see much love for that season on the Countdown, but we enjoy it ... I keep a mess of John Philip Sousa DVDs in the car, and we sometimes like to drive around with the windows down blaring Sousa as we go about our errands! cheesy Then after July 4th it's time for Christmas in July, updating the lists and addresses in the notebook, and compiling clips for the annual Christmas DVD.

DH and I love it as well. We decorate, grill, go camping, do fire's in the backyard...etc. I love and the seasons that go with it. I am really looking foward to it!

Not sure what to think about that one. but if it was my sister i think i wood not be to well pleased. a day away wood have been nice for you as well, maybe am wrong here but you never seen to get any where you always baby sitting !!! or running to the store to buy extra food cause you have to baby sit.. maybe next time she does,nt ask and just expects maybe you should say " am going away for the day " cant do it

My brother's boss just let him know that the higher-ups of the company feel that his job is now "unnecessary" and he will probably lose his job at the end of this year.

An hour left of the work week!! I have not stated packing yet but I will in the morning. I plan to leave around 8am and get to Tallahassee around 10 am. Brandi is working all weekend grading papers and getting ready for finals. The last day of school is 2 weeks away,although the University here is having graduation next sat(may5th) BTW VSU where are you???there are so many old pals here who I have lost touch with over the course of this year. Anyhow I hope everyone is having a good day....I will talk to you guys later!!

that made me think about one of our neighbours on the farm when I was a little younger than I am now...he would get so upset during deer season because some hunters would take shots at the cows. He came up with the idea to put signs on them that said "COW" in hopes that the hunters would notice and not shoot them.

That's pretty funny and creative too.

It's NOTHING like murder, Louann. You're Ivy's human mother, and you are responsible for her quality of life. When that hope is gone, death is a blessing you can confer.
