Christmas Countdown - 2012

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a great day and will enjoy your evening as well. I love it here in Myrtle Beach! The kids love it too, so that makes it 100 times better for me. I have been already snatching lots of pictures.

DH and DS are taking a nap, so EA and I are sitting out on the deck, watching the ocean - it's so wonderful and relaxing! I am loving every moment of it! After the naps are finished, we're going to get dinner.

Tonight, there will be fireworks and I know EA will love that too.

Well, I am going to read some of the Countdown until naptime is over! Talk to you guys soon and hope all is well!

I get to carry a really heavy sofa and loveseat up the stairs at my sister's house after she gets home tomorrow night. :-?

hi guys!

it's been so long, but i have been sooooo busy. i swore 2012 would be the year that i got up and running and followed my dreams and it's all working out so far, thank god!

i hope you're all well and we are all starting to get excited for christmas :smile:

it's the queen's jubilee over here and i couldn't be prouder to be british. her majesty has reigned for 60 years and we are all celebrating like crazy at the minute. today i have been for afternoon tea and tomorrow i am attending my mother's jubilee party, it's almost like a mini christmas in warm weather!

god save the queen and long may she reign over us.

Thanks! EA is really enjoying herself. We're staying at family resort and we went to the pools/waterpark today because it was raining and overcast. Both of the kids just loved the mini waterpark. It's really nice here. I am sure this is what we will do again next year.

I have a carrot cake in the oven for a party tomorrow evening. It will be a celebration of survival for the young woman I look after. She was in a car accident 10 years ago that almost took her life. She has brain injury and is learning to walk again.

BBQ to go to this evening, but it is chilly, raining and very windy...but they said it was rain or shine. This is the place I volunteer at and this is their thank you to all the volunteers.

Both reasons to celebrate. Hope you had a wonderful time!

I'm tired and blue and ready to relax. It's been another chilly (below 60F), dark, gray, damp day. I'm beginning to believe we had our June in March, and now we have to have our March in June. Gimme some summer weather!

A quick update on Snow in Texas. They gave him a little shock earlier and now his heart is back in rhythm. He doesn't get to come home yet though. He has to stay again tonight just to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

Thank you, sweet people ... I've had a hard time shaking the blues in recent weeks, with what FIL and Mr. and Mr.'s family are going through. We have a vacation trip scheduled in a couple weeks (if FIL has no health crisis)---I should be happy and excited, 'cause I haven't had a day off from work since Christmas except for holidays and a sick day, but it just isn't lifting me. And the weather isn't helping, of course. But this funk will pass eventually.

Mouse wants me to spend some time with her, so I will be reading or crocheting the rest of the evening.

Two of my favorite activities---reading and crocheting! I'll join you.
