Christmas Countdown - 2012

I was just thinking that I haven't posted an update on her in a couple of weeks.

She just had her 3rd infusion of the new medicine and it has helped a little bit but not much. The doctor told her that it could take 6 months before it really kicks in. The good news is that it doesn't seem to be causing any kind of reaction like all of the other one's did.

continue to pray for her. So glad this treatment is more agreeable to her.

How are you all today?

I'm doing good, but so far behind this morning! I missed two hours of actual work because I got pulled into a long meeting. I'm happy I was included and all, but in this case, it really didn't relate to me so....
I really need to catch up.

Just wanted to stop in quick for some Christmas Cheer!
(and I needed a break!)

On my lunch break, I'm need to go shopping for my [Dad's] Father's Day gift. Less than a week and a half away! Ahh, I feel behind there too Hope I find something good for him. He's such a wonderful Dad!

Well all my sister did was sprain her ankle. So she gets to wear an aircast around for a couple of weeks. I think my mom is going to handle the babysitting duties tomorrow but I think I get next monday.

Good Morning MMC!!!! We are warming back up here in central Indy with a high of 81 today and it looks like 90 on Saturday. Ugh!! I have to go babysit here in a few minutes. My sister missed a step on the stairs last night and screwed up her ankle. So she is going to her doctor and then probably for x rays. Hopefully it's nothing major or I'll have to be out there a lot more in the coming weeks. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

garage sales here are only on Saturdays...occasionally on Fridays and Sunday mornings, but usually just Saturdays.

I didn't find any good Christmas stuff and I won't be retiring any time soon, either. I found a few things that will help me make rent in the coming months, so I can't complain cheesy

Yay, you're back! I woke up with an awful headache, too - still have it, in fact. That was a mighty dangerous horseshoe game - I wasn't even there for it :grin:

It's not for sale, but your post made me think of it---I have a doll's punchbowl and six matching punch cups that my mom left me. They're just pressed glass and from the late 1930s - early 1940s. Not valuable, but so cute---the little cups only hold a few drops, but they are patterned to match the punchbowl! It would look so cute in a miniature table with miniature Christmas cookies.

How cool! If you still have the box and all the pieces are there, it is probably worth more than you think. I rarely see that kind of stuff when I am out "spying" on the competition.

It's the 200 day mark!! And it's thursday! friday is so close I can taste it! Brandi made chilli and it's actually very mild outside...it's cloudy and breezy,very odd weather for June but I will take it in a heartbeat compared to 100F heat!!! Vacation Bible school is going on this week and we have volunteered for that too,so I have to get readyy to take some goodies over the the church! have a great night everyone!

I never had the box, but I have all the pieces (unless there was once more than six cups, that is!). It's clear, not a color---I think I read once that colored glass is worth more. Doesn't matter, 'cause I'm planning to hang onto the set!

A found a photo online that's almost identical---only mine has no hooks to attach the cups to the punchbowl:

Each cup is about the size of a thimble.

I used to buy him lots of fun things, for fishing, boating or golf, etc. But, about 5 years ago, he said that he had everything he could ever want- now it's about what he needs. And he said he needed some dress shirts for summer, so I went & bought some short sleeved ones in summer colors. With gift receipts! In case they don't fit, or he wants different colors, he can exchange them.

It's just not fair ... the first evening this week that Mr. was going to be able to spend at home, and he has to work late. There's a good chance he won't get home until after my bedtime. I've only been able to see him for a few minutes in the morning before I leave for work. Rotten luck. :-(

Cross your fingers that we'll be able to go on our vacation ... then I'll have him 24/7 for a few days!

I think that is the first time I've watched ELF from start to finish. I'm usually not a Will Ferrell fan but hey it was a christmas movie in June.
