It definitely is a Monday...

Harlowe yelped this morning while sitting on the patio, and kind of got up & freaked out. I ran out there to look her over & saw a bee on the ground nearby. Strange, since it was still dark out & only 4:30 am. I quickly grabbed some Benadryl & gave her a 1/2 of a tablet, looked for a stinger, but couldn't find one in her fur. Could've been a wasp, too, so no stinger would be there. Has anyone ever had that happen, where you couldn't find the stinger? I took care of that bee, it was on it's way out anyways. Wonder why it was out so early & on the ground...hmm. I kept a close eye on her, she didn't have any major reaction, didn't want her to go into anaphlaxic shock or something. Scary.

Tomorrow I return to the oncologist for the Neulasta shot which has NASTY results. Thanks for all your hugs and good wishes.

Snowflake, I hope that Harlowe is okay! Hopefully she was just alarmed by the whole thing - bees and wasps aren't exactly friendly! I will say a prayer for her that she is healthy and that she didn't get stung :]

My eye feels better today but it is still itchy and sore. I am very frustrated because I cannot wear my contact lenses for over a week. That is going to be very annoying for me to do school work and actual work because my prescription isn't updated and new glasses would be over three hundred dollars. I guess I'll deal with squinting!

I feel very bad for my friend and her family. The dog that they have had since she was a little girl became very sick over the past week or so. She usually ran over to company to greet them and was very sweet and playful. They noticed that she wasn't eating very much, she wasn't moving around like she used to, and she just didn't seem like herself. They didn't have the money to take her to the vet because they are struggling financially. Over the past couple of days she got worse and worse to the point where she didn't eat a thing and would just lay on the same spot on the floor. My friend's dad had to take her to the vet to put her down. Now she told me that her other dog, which she also had from childhood, keeps running around the house and looking for her and crying since they were best friends. Such a sad story :[

I am buried in work today, so I guess it's a good day to have pink eye and be stuck around the house!

Hi Jennifer ! I am so glad your eye feels better xo I am so sorry for your friend and her family and the loss of their doggy. They can get sick SO QUICKLY and go down hill rapidly. ((Hugs)) to you and your friend xo

I Love it! It's amazing just how much the Christmas music can pick you up and sort of give you a shot in the arm when you need it the most......

I got stung as well this weekend! (walking around the waterslide in my bare feet), I got zapped on the side of my foot by a honey bee. I put an ice cube on it and then jumped into the swimming pool! There was an audible Ahhhhhhhhhh...... I hope Harlowe is ok, she's adorable looking.....

Christmas music is SO AMAZING Isn't it ?? Glad you feel better. I too am worried about Harlowe xo

That got me thinking - I didn't make it to HL last year, but the year before, they did not have a lot of Christmas craft items - they had a lot of ornaments, garlands and wreaths. I need to get over there this year - it is in a town I don't go to very often, though.

I am planning on going to HL this Friday hopefully !! I still want to go Bronners with you !!! xoxo

I have tried them both, and I really dislike the flavor of them. I did drink 5 Hour Energy before working on Black Friday a couple of years ago, it only gave me a boost for about 2 hours though.

UGH !! I know what you mean about the flavor !! I drink 5 Hour Energy every day that I work and some of the flavors have me almost making faces like Dr. Jekyl made when he drank the stuff to turn into Mr. Hyde !!! My favorite flavor is orange, berry is a little bit icky and grape is just gaggy in my opinion. I only get energy from them for about 3 hours usually....Still better than nothing I guess !

I hate the berry flavor but I could stand the orange and lemon lime 5 hour. If you don't like diet soda's you won't like 5 hour. Since it's sugar free and uses the same artificial sweetener's.

I've noticed that they have made the bottles bigger so you might not be the only one with that complaint.

I agree !! Berry is my least favorite !!. It is expensive but I don't last typing eight hours without it !! Orange is my favorite !

Came home from chemo, took a short nap, finished a book, and now getting ready for dinner. Since my hands developed neuropathy, Hubby has been doing all the cooking. Tonight it will be corn on the cob, cole slaw, and sloppy Joes made with the Bold Manwich sauce.

Thanks to Solice, Irish Snow, and CAH for the Christmas movies/music suggestions. I bought the breast cancer ear buds from Avon, so maybe I will watch a Netflix movie on my Nook tablet tonight! Obviously, the ear buds are pink with some "diamond" bling!

i've had a pretty nice day here @ the house. nothing going on just quiet & relaxed. we had a great supper too. i had some chicken strips & i coated them in oil then chopped up the fried onions in a can & coated them & baked them. yum, very juicy. i do that often but it's usually chicken breasts not strips. had field peas & snaps, rice & gravy, & mama's homemade biscuits. oh yeah, i made a peach cobbler too. not sure what got into me, i don't like cooking-just eating. lol

Your supper sounds so delicious !!!! I love cobler too !!!! I LOVE eating, which is why I had to start back on my diet (I HOPE !) :-o

Day off tomorrow, my wife is going to see Magic Mike, kids are going to VBS, I get me time! I have to mow the lawn, so me time won't be too fun. I did a ton of work at work today, I feel very tired. I finished reading my book "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" it was a very good book mixing fiction & history seamlessly, it definitely piqued my interest in Abe, I may have to read more about him.
