Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good afternoon, MMC! I hope everyone is doing well. I have been trying my best to keep up on posts and reply to as many as possible!

Today has been hectic - I spent the entire morning working and the entire afternoon doing school work. There has been nothing new going on here at all. I think I'm all better (I put my contacts back in anyway) so hopefully I didn't mess anything up. I stopped hanging out with the guy that was older -- I guess I should have listened to my parents in the first place! I swear I don't think I will ever get married. I must have "jerk magnet" tattooed on my back or something because I always end up with the opposite of winners lol.

I was watching the news earlier and I was shocked to hear them talking about Christmas -- but of course, it was in a negative way! The news reporter was talking about how July really kicks off Christmas shopping season. Then she continued to ramble for minutes about how crazy it is that some people start their shopping this early and that Christmas programs air in July. That was followed by how Christmas is just a retail holiday....blah blah! I am so tired of hearing it. People always try to ruin Christmas for the rest of us!! I say if you want to start shopping...shop!

I am going to order out or go grab takeout for dinner in a little bit. I still have so much to do and it's already after 3! The time just flies when you're busy. Have a nice afternoon, everyone!!

He just turned 65 years old, he is healthy and in good shape
Never been sick a day in his life.
Yesterday we knew it was brain cancer and today he had brain surgery.
Sadly they could not get it all out, so he will be needing Radiation.

Im worried sick about him, my mother-in-law and my husband.
Im praying it will all be fine again!

Oh my.. You never know what tomorrow brings...

lol of course ur get married. and none of us i think listened to our parents. guess u make your own mistakes its make us who we are..

I was watching the news earlier and I was shocked to hear them talking about Christmas -- but of course, it was in a negative way! The news reporter was talking about how July really kicks off Christmas shopping season. Then she continued to ramble for minutes about how crazy it is that some people start their shopping this early and that Christmas programs air in July. That was followed by how Christmas is just a retail holiday....blah blah! I am so tired of hearing it. People always try to ruin Christmas for the rest of us!! I say if you want to start shopping...shop!

How can someone ruin something that is in our hearts they may try !! and yes if someone wants to buy christmas presents in july or any other time . i say let them.. i know lots of people that have lots of things bought for christmas already i was asked yesterday about christmas stuff.

Good afternoon, MMC!

I just got back from the vet's office a bit ago. Mouse had to have her nails trimmed. I was so stressed out over having to take her down there that I didn't get much sleep last night. The sleep I did have was haunted by dreams of tornadoes. Ugh! I hate when I have those dreams! These had several tornadoes, different colors and sizes, but no noise. In one of them, the radio announcer said there was nothing on the radar, but if he had turned around and looked out the window, there was huge black one not too far away. I guess I have some serious issues hiding in my subconscious!

Any how, all is good with Mouse. The vet had her taken care of in about two minutes. She just ate and is now ready for a nap. I think I might take one, too. My head is pounding.

Good evening, MMC friends! How was everyone's day? Mine was well. I was off today. DS got his first year pictures today. They turned out really well. Still can't believe he is one!

DH is working tonight, so my sister and her boyfriend are taking EA mini golfing and out for dinner. DS and I are going to spend some time here at the house. We ordered a pizza.

Nothing is new here. Just been busy with the kids and everyday life. I can't complain though. I am loving every minute of it!

Work is getting better, learning the routines and the paper work. Starting to like it rather than enduring it! LOL

I'm going to CVS on lunch hour to get a couple things off DD's school supply list with my ExtraCare bucks. I emptied & sorted her backpack this morning. We can reuse a lot of things from last year, but she'll need a few new things too. Just four weeks until she starts second grade!

over the years i've accumulated quite alot of "leftover" school supplies, so much in fact that i have a "school supply box" under my bed & the kids have always known to go to the box when they need something for school.

oh no!!!!! as seawaters said, cancer treatments have come a long way. i will pray for your father-in-law. may God bless him.

Glad someone else shares the same feelings as me!! I hate seeing all of the backpacks and supplies out. Walmart has been clearing their shelves and I saw them putting out notebooks the other day - blah! The only thing I can say I love about the books are the characters and there is actually a good story.
