the Sahara Quartet is a tad upset with you...Clide, Clive, Claud and Carry have been touring for just over a year now. Carry knows she is odd being a while camel and all, but did not think she was invisible!

But do not fear, I talked to them and they understand you are a bit stressed with work and all and so send you this gift to help you feel better....

What, no posts from the Pines tonight? I didn't get there because I had an errand to attend to ... my attempt to order a bicycle online went flooey and I had to go to the actual store to straighten it out. Long story! I'll re-order later in the week. I'm gonna get that bike one way or another ...

Good evening,

I had a very busy evening at work, my job was non-stop tonight. It is a warm muggy night, I hate these type of nights.

I don't understand the vitriol when it comes to early Christmas decorations, music. Some of us enjoy that while others like other things. Different strokes for different folks. I did see on the news customers being interviewed in a Target complaining that it is not fair that Back to School stuff is already being sold so closely to schools just closing for vacation a couple of weeks ago. I guess you can't make everyone happy.

Back to work in 8 hours.

I put a small round cushion by the window and it is her favorite place to sit now, especially when the window is open (we have a lot of birds and squirrels)

Good evening everyone! We are on vacation this week at my mom's house in Portland,and we are having a great time,it was Jordan's first plane trip and he slept through most of it thank goodness. We are due to come home Sunday and I go back to work on Monday but I wanted to pop in and tell everyone hello and we are halfway through summer! yippee!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I was up early, trying to help Bernie re-adjust the prices on his gas pump. His pump is not digital, so there a lot of removing kotter pins, re-aligning gears & cogs, etc. just to change the price a few cents. We finally got the change done, and I was only 45 minutes late for work...LOL.

I can't complain, though. We ate supper at their house last night; fresh creamed corn, fresh field peas, fresh sliced tomatoes (peeled, of course) and bacon. Yum, yum!

Thursday hello! I love it when I have a chance to catch up on the posts before the work starts hitting my desk. It makes a friendly start to the day---thanks to all of you for improving my day! (Looks like it will be a busy one.)

I see a couple of requests for barbershop Christmas music ... I'll see if I can rig something up if I have free time this evening. Maybe I can put a few in a public folder in my Dropbox and post a link. I have a recording of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" by the Evans Quartet that I "illustrated" with clips from the Fleischer cartoon version of "Rudolph" that I can post in the video section. I also know a good website that sells a cappella Christmas albums, including male, female, and mixed barbershop quartets and choruses, and they provide samples for their albums, so I'll dig that up and post a link. Stay tuned!

My Smokey and Lily have a special place to sit in the breezeway....They just sit together and watch the birds and creatures together ! xo

Wayne, my granddaughter and I just got back from our morning walk. When we got in the house my granddaughter said, "I want to watch, Rosty the Noman".

We are watching it now!

Guess who is getting a fur-girl soon?? :hello:


Yup, ME!!! She's a rescue from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay so right now, my parents have her. She's 1 yr and 9 months old, Cairn Terrier (imagine: a white-haired version of 'Toto'), and her name is Missy.


My parents have her right now and the only "problem" is that they have to train her to do her business on the indoor "dog diaper/pad." Other than that she's got "the perfect disposition." She's friendly, affectionate, loves to jump on your lap, loves to cuddle.....I'm going to be in HEAVEN with my "daughter." :wiggy:

YAY!! Oh I love puppies/dogs!!!

Now my granddaughter (almost 3 years old) just brought me the video of, A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott, and said she wanted to watch it. I just put in it, let's see how long that last! :lol:

Just as I finished typing that, she said, "I want to watch something else"! I think, A Muppet's Christmas Carol, would be better! =)

I LOVE my bicycles!!! I bought a new one in 2009 & I am addicted! It's amazing what a difference a good bicycle makes! I bought another one from Craigslist last year. After my brother passed away, I have inherited one of his many (road) bikes though my hubby has been riding that one more than I have! It's a little small for him, but he makes it work! What kind are you looking to buy? (Sorry if this is posted already, I must have missed it) EXCITING!!!!

I'm enjoying a cup of Donut House Coffee this morning with all you other coffee (or tea) drinkers! Next up is house blend from the local coffee shop. YUM! Love my coffee!
