Christmas Countdown - 2012

I immediately thought of everyone on this forum when I heard a commercial on the radio yesterday when I was on vacation. A local restaurant at Myrtle Beach is hosting a Christmas in July lunch benefit for a local charity this Wed. the 25th. The commercial has sleigh ride playing in the background and lunch consists of cajun turkey, dressing and all the trimmings. All proceeds go to help local kids. Very festive commercial.

There is a restaurant in the next town that has Christmas in July dinners all month long! Turkey with all the trimings.

Good afternoon!!! We went on vacation & we are back & we had a great time & how does that time go so fast???? It is so hard to go back to work after several days off!!! But it was great. We went ziplining - what a blast! My hubby's uncle's place where we stayed is just beautiful. He has a home on 100 acres in southern Ohio... talk about getting away from it all!

At least I have Christmas in July at the lake to look forward too next weekend. Friday night is "Christmas Eve" - we are having snacks & watching the fireworks over the lake from the town festival. Saturday is Christmas complete with Christmas dinner - I am making a ham, my neighbor a turkey & everyone else is bringing all the fixings: pumpkin pie, dressing, sweet potato souffle, mashed potatoes, homemade noodles, + more & of course eggnog! After Christmas dinner is a white elephant gift exchange, then we are watching a Christmas movie on the big screen. We are talking about Christmas Vacation, Elf, or Christmas Story. Looking forward to it!!!

hi everyone....been a beautiful day today....Kandice and I and mum went to a public pool with water slides and kinda an artificial ocean....she loved it of course and we both are tired like crazy....jumping around in the waves...perfect....we had Bratwurst and fries for dinner and chilling and ending the day by watching a movie that stars Christina Ricci and the girl from my girl....they were both teenagers back then......kinda nice

My Christmas friends I have missed you all so much. I cant believe I havent logged on since 3/27! Almost 4 months..CRAZY! Anyways things are slowling down and I plan to at least get on here once a week because I need a little Christmas all the time now that its Christmas in July. I hope you all are doing well and I have a lot of catching up to do! I am having my big Christmas in July dinner on Saturday. Looking forward to the Fall (but not turning 30..my 30th Birthday is October 13 yikes!)

I attempted to catch a few post here and there earlier today but the grandkids kept me really busy so I couldn't respond.

Wayne and I went for a morning walk before the kids got here. After they got here we spent some time at the spray water park and had a blast!!! I am ready to go play again tomorrow! :dance: We might head to Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow.

Good Monday morning everyone!

Heat advisory and possible storms moving in. We still need all the rain we can get. What a dry hot summer its been. On my 2nd cup of coffee. Ready to go home, not for another 4 and a half hours but I'm READY lol. I watched a lot of QVC Christmas in July. Just what the DR ordered. Some crummy stuff and some nice stuff. Didn't buy anything though. Even William saw some of the Christmas tree's and pointed them out! He is a Christmas man in training haha. Nothing really new, just downloaded some nice relaxing Christmas music. Its creeping closer and closer. Bahh humbug to all the people that don't like Christmas when I talk about it haha. Hope you all stay cool and dry and have a great day!

Just a short flight away...

hey y'all! gotta lot done this afternoon. daughter woke up w/ another migraine so we didn't go to order her glasses until around 3pm but we did it. got some stain for my front porch. my nephew, Scott, is gonna do that tomorrow.

boss texted me while we were out & said to be off tomorrow since it's so slow. i've got so much i'm trying to do here it's ok w/ me.

gonna go hang w/ my hubby now. love, hugs, & smiles to y'all!!!!

Hubby is outside grilling a turkey breast on the rotisserie. I have chemo today, so he is getting dinner ready early for us to have when we get back home. He marinated it overnight, so it smells divine! We will have mashed potatoes etc. Yesterday, I made two pound cakes--one chocolate and one that has almond, lemon, and vanilla flavoring. I cut them in half and kept half of each one. We are taking the other halves to chemo to share with the other patients. This is supposedly the last time I will need chemo!!! Yay!!! I was so tired from the baking I did yesterday that I just could not participate in the wonderful dialog on Christmas in July; but I did read the posts!!!

And, somewhere along the way, I hit 50,000 posts. I have no idea how that happened!!!

Good morning, Christmas Family !!


It's official !!! I got into the other company I wanted !!!!!! I sent my present employer their resignation AGAIN.....Hopefully I have made the right choice !! This job has no set schedule ! As long as I deliver the required lines each week it is cool !! That means I type whenever I want to.............A little nervous and scared and praying that Mother Mary and especially her Son are close by right now..........
