Thursday hello! We're expecting strong storms later in the day---they're even mentioning the T word (and I don't mean "thunder"). I hope it doesn't get as bad as that.

Still working on the scratchy throat. It's no better, but it's no worse, either. So maybe I'm doing something right.

Expecting a hefty proof job early, so TTFN.

Yes indeed, glorious rain!!!
We had a few good storms, too, last night, but did not lose power. I had to get up and reassure Mouse and Palmer ~ Bo had to have a light on as he is scared of lightning.

Good morning, MMC! How is everyone today? I am well. I just have a lot to get done today, so I am checking in quickly and taking a break.

I am going through a bunch of the kids clothes - DS's clothes from day 1 - woozers and EA's from the past 2 years of fall clothes - even more woozers! It's making for a busy day, but I have to get it done. I am taking them to a re-sale shop tomorrow and what I don't sale, I will donate.

Tonight is my night - thank goodness! I need it greatly. I very tired already, which I guess I should be. When I came home, I thought about laying down for an hour or 2, but I just pumped in more coffee. Since DH is working tonight and it will just the kids and I, it will be bitting in the butt tonight!

Well, I am going to go for now. Talk to you guys later on!

The things I ordered from QVC UK came in the mail today.
Wow, that was quick! And FUN to receive Christmas stuff in July!

I think the summer is over here where I live.
Leaves are yellow/brown and already falling from the trees!

We went to the beach today, just for som fresh air.
But had to wear jeans and jackets. Windy and cold.

On my way home from work, I saw a house all lit up with C7 lights, I drove by it last week there was no lights up but it brought a smile on my face.

Good afternoon everyone,

It seems as if everyone enjoyed the double special occassion. 'Pines and Christmas July on the same day?! It doesn't happen often! Kim and I commemorated the day by watching a Chrsitmas movie. We purchased Four Christmases on Blu Ray when the local Rogers Video store was going out of business a couple months ago. This was our first time watching the film. Overall, we enjoyed a few laughs. I wish that the film had a bit more Christmas music in it though. It seemed a little lacking in that department.

The humidity seemed to disappear last night around 5. And, with that, we've had a nice and comfortable overcast day today. No complaints! If only it brought some more rainfall. Oh well. We'll have to be grateful for the extremely slight drizzles we've been receiving today. At least there is a bit of rain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday, I guess!

Well, there is not a whole lot going on. I haven't even been very busy in the office today, but that should change in a few moments. I hope everyone has been enjoying their Thursday. Only one more workday left after today. The weekend is nearly upon us!

It sounds like there are many of us expeceting storms later on...they are saying severe storms possible here too! We'll take the rain, they can keep the storms!!! I went for a walk at lunch & it started raining out of nowhere. Great big drops. Then it rained harder & harder....by the time my feet hit our garage, it quit. Grrrrrr! Wasn't even enough to make everything wet, just enough to make me re-do my hair before going back to work. :lol:

I got a Christmas in July present yesterday! Well, kinda--Audible gave its members a free novella for CIJ. You could choose between 4 or 5 short books. I wonder if any other company did a similar give away/promotion yesterday?

Like I said yesterday, today's a special day for me. I've started a tradition of giving myself a present on this day--something related to fitness, health or exercise. That's usually an exercise DVD, but this year I gave myself a series of ballroom dance lessons! Just me, my husband rather firmly bowed out. I'm a little nervous but excited too!

Good afternoon all you Christmassy people!!!

Yesterday after work, I canned jalapeno pickles - 10 pints + 2 qts... While canning these, I watched "A Golden Christmas" & "A Golden Christmas: The Second Tail" on Netflix. Cute movies! I liked the setting in the 1st movie better, but both were cute, family movies. Today at lunch I put a ham in the oven for our Christmas in July party Saturday - can't wait to walk in the house after work tonight & smell that baking! It feels like Christmas!!! :smile:
