hey y'all. things are not going good here right now. should've been a regular wednesday but noooo....

had the a/c guys out & the plumber @ the same time today. huge bummer!!!!!!huge cost!!!!!!!! daughter had a filling done just last week & is having pain now & extreme sensitivity w/ the tooth. this dentist is not @ all my choice so you can imagine my comments on that. she has to go sit there tomorrow & be fitted in to have it looked @ & probably redone. !@#$%^&*()*&^

dermatolgists office called & said the spot he tested last week is a superficial cancer. can someone tell me what this means? she did explain it's just in the top layer & i have to go back & have more removed & will have a few stitches. i thought i had lots of spots that looked just like that 1. i am gonna have him take a 2nd look to make sure.

trust me i know things could be a whole lot worse. house is still @ 80 degrees. trying to cool back down.

Okay my Christmas friends are we going to try to go to the largest Christmas Store in Texas this Saturday??? I felt so rotten last Saturday that I never made it out there. I am still working on getting better so hopefully this weekend!!!

All of MMC is invited. :!!

At this store there are plenty of Santas for Made and Polar Bears for Caninemom! What else is everyone collecting as far as decorations? This store has everything!

I'm in! I hope you and SIT do get to go this weekend ~ and that you make it back in time and are not too tired to join in on the GS chat :wink:

I am happy Switzerland got a second gold medal on the olympics yesterday. We are lacking quite badly at the moment.

If I could have a wish right now I would like to have a grande white chocolate mocha frappucino in front of me. At least I would have something do to then. Really seems like all our customer are having summer holidays.

Wow! What a difference a day makes. We went from the mid 80s and humid to a high of only 69 today and rain! I love it, my allergies hate it ~ grrrrr! Perfect day for baking and soup, but I have a fridge full of leftovers to eat and no time to bake. Oh, well ~ baking days are just around the corner. cheesy

I am really starting to get the feeling I am behind on my holiday preparations, so this weekend I am going to start making my gifts. What a great weekend it will be :dance:

She is not doing very well. Slowly getting weaker. They have started her on chemo pills to try to lessen the pain and hopefully shrink the tumor some. She has ok days and bad days. We hope to make this Christmas season special because it could be her last.

Bless her heart. If there's anything I can do (in addition praying, of course), please let me know.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's a hot and humid morning here in southern Indy. I can't wait for the fall like weather to roll in on friday. We are all packed up and I think we are going to head out here soon. The new plan is to stop at Nashville, Indiana for lunch. It's kind of like Indiana's frankenmuth. It's full of little shops and restaurants. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

We are thinking about going to Nashville, IN (Brown County) for New Years Eve! I hear it's beautiful at Christmas!!!

Took a non drowsy allergy pill and now I want to go to sleep. Does this mean if I took the other kind I would stay awake?

I went to see the cardiologist yesterday, and he says I'm looking good. I can even have a little salt...YIPPEE!!! I had no idea how good salt was until it was taken away. I'm still planning to use it only sparingly, but a little goes a long way!

Keurig question! Wayne and I had talked about getting a Keurig off and on for a year, well last night we made my very first ever QVC purchase and we bought one. It's the Keurig Platinum Plus and last night only they had a GREAT BUY! It's back to full price today but it comes with 64 k-cups and a filter to put your own coffee in and a water filter starter kit. I notice today not only did it go up in price but it only comes with 48 k-cups. They had the, 4 easy pays, which makes it more affordable for us to buy so we went for it!

What a great thing to buy on Pines Day! I am so excited to finally get one. We have one at work and it makes great coffee!

My question to those who have one. Do you still like it and is it still functioning well?

MerryCarey, with the purchase of Keurig they have, Gloria Jean's Hazelnut Coffee? Is that your actress friend, Gloria!?

 

[Holiday]

My blood counts are normal, so surgery will be the next step. I will have side effects for a while but those should get better withing 6-8 months and maybe even up to a year. I will soon have an appointment with the radiation person, but surgery first. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and concerns. Still lots to go, but at least it's in a forward direction. I went to work in my classroom on Monday and was totally exhausted. I think I will feel better when I get the infusion, which I will have just before surgery.

Hi your lucky you get into the 80,s we are round the 50,s today and that is the best it has been in a long time. but a big bowl of home made soup is welcome with me at anytime..
