Today I learned that one of my friends is expecting her third child, I am so happy for her. Hope its going to be a girl, she already has two boys.

Wow! What a difference a day makes. We went from the mid 80s and humid to a high of only 69 today and rain! I love it, my allergies hate it ~ grrrrr! Perfect day for baking and soup, but I have a fridge full of leftovers to eat and no time to bake. Oh, well ~ baking days are just around the corner.

I am really starting to get the feeling I am behind on my holiday preparations, so this weekend I am going to start making my gifts. What a great weekend it will be

Wait, its afternoon already, that's what I get for sleeping in!

I was at the mall with my son and popped over to the bookstore. I found a lovely album called Christmas memories, came with a beautiful stocking for only $5! It ties shut with a ribbon and has lots of space for pictures and writing about what went on during the holidays.
I love finds like this!!!

Now I have to finish the laundry so I have a clean uniform for work!

I will be thinking about MerryM! I am don't know much about this, but if you don't get a response from anyone else on here, I would google it and try to read more about it.

I spent the last hour catching up on posts, and was having some trouble w/ the site. Anyone else? It's unusually slow, and even though I'd thank posts, when I would go back to a page, the thanks weren't there. And, when I try to replay to posts, they disappear...and I get a blank page... Hmm...

Unfortunately, I don't have time to start over, so I'm just going to say hello, and that I'm thinking of all of you! xo

It's been one of those days.

I woke up w/ a migraine & nausea, so I stayed home until late morning, and then went into work. Stressful & a tad uncomfortable there. Thanks for all of your thoughts! Things can only get better.

How are you guys? Any plans for the evening?

I look forward to going home to my hubby & Harlowe, who always put a smile on my face.

All of this talk of Fall, and cooler temps is working! Let's keep it up!

I went to see the cardiologist yesterday, and he says I'm looking good. I can even have a little salt...YIPPEE!!! I had no idea how good salt was until it was taken away. I'm still planning to use it only sparingly, but a little goes a long way!

Keurig question! Wayne and I had talked about getting a Keurig off and on for a year, well last night we made my very first ever QVC purchase and we bought one. ...

No ... here's the story. The company was founded near Chicago in 1979 by Gloria Jean Kvetko and Ed Kvetko. It was local for quite a while before it went national. When Gloria (our Gloria) first saw it in California, she thought their logo at the time resembled her signature. She consulted a lawyer, but the lawyer told her that since the company had been in business so long already without the name and logo being contested (because it was Chicago-area-only for so long) that she wouldn't have a leg to stand on. So there's no connection ... except that there's always the possibility that Kvetko was named after our Gloria Jean.

Keurig question! Wayne and I had talked about getting a Keurig off and on for a year, well last night we made my very first ever QVC purchase and we bought one. It's the Keurig Platinum Plus and last night only they had a GREAT BUY! It's back to full price today but it comes with 64 k-cups and a filter to put your own coffee in and a water filter starter kit. I notice today not only did it go up in price but it only comes with 48 k-cups. They had the, 4 easy pays, which makes it more affordable for us to buy so we went for it!

What a great thing to buy on Pines Day! I am so excited to finally get one. We have one at work and it makes great coffee!

My question to those who have one. Do you still like it and is it still functioning well?

I have the very first edition of the Keruig - got at least 2 years ago, if not longer. I still love it and use it everyday. It functions very well.

That's good to know and we did buy the Platinum Plus. We went to a Williams Sonoma and looked at their brewers. They have their own and said that people complain all the time that Keurig breaks down too easily but with their brewers the cheapest one is about $200.00! You have to buy their k-cups only. Their k-cups cost a fortune. I am not knocking their product and I am sure it's great but we don't have that kind of money. It would only be Wayne and I using it and we don't drink that much coffee so I think it should hold up well. The only other time it would be used by others is during the holidays.

I know lots of people who have Keurig's and I've never heard one single person complain about it. They all love it.

It's been fine for me on two different computers today. Just a WAG ... Some folks have been having issues because they don't usually log out when they leave the website. So you might try clearing your cache (how to do it depends on what browser you're using) and logging out when you leave the website.

Good evening, all! How was everyone's day? Mine was great! I slept a lot longer than I should have, but it rained on and off her, plus we had thunderstorms. It was a great day to just catch up on sleep and not do anything. DH was at work and the kids were at daycare, so I took advantage of it.

We got the official word today that EA will start pre-school in September. We weren't sure if they would start here this fall since here birthday isn't until the middle of September, but they told us that they think she is ready and she's passed all of her testing. We're so proud of her - she's a little smarty.

Nothing new here. I think I'm going out for lunch with my mom tomorrow. She's going to take a half day of work, so that will be nice. The kids will be at daycare again, since DH works daylight. I go back to work tomorrow night (I work the weekend.) Even though I do work, I am still looking foward to the weekend, I always do!

Well, I am off to catch up on some of the boards, then I have to get the kids bathed soon. DH and his dad are framing the basement tonight. It's been a LOUD night here in our house this evening! God Bless and I hope all is well in your part of the world!

You are right, Cm3. This is the most common skin cancer. It kind of sounds like that, but I don't know a whole lot about skin cancer. My FIL had skin cancer and it kind of sound the same way, but I still have them further elaborate on it.
