Christmas Countdown - 2012

Go Mike Holmes!!!

This may be hard to believe, however he is coming to my house tomorrow at 10 am to start planning to do my backyard. He is doing a show about what happened to me. Last March 14th, I was hit by a minivan in front of my house. It left me paralysed for 2 months, and I spent 2.5 months in a rehab centre. I'm now walking with the use of ski poles. I actually hope to return to teaching in September.

So, starting tomorrow he will be filming for his new show called "Making it Right.". I'm very fortunate to be able to walk, and now he is so generously doing my backyard.

Google, "teacher egged" if you want to know more about what happened to me.

Just thought I would share, please don't think I'm bragging.

Things have settled a bit not much but am taking a stand back
She is now gonna stay in scotland and no something i dont think i care any more maybe it better she does as the rest can get on with there lifes
If she cared for the kids she wood come home. but guess she has her reasons
Have 2 pallets this morning so am up from half 6 as i was sleeping from 9
Had a nice weekend went out on saturday night with mates ,car boot sale yesterday.
right am away to check out post and get a cuppa

Not much planned for today since I finished all my classroom work yesterday. I do want to do some professional reading and, of course, take a nap! I am sure that one of the reasons I was so tired these past two weeks, besides working long hours to get ready for school is that I am used to taking AT LEAST one nap a day. Now I am down to NONE, cold turkey!!!

hey y'all! well up & @'em early this morning....daughter's 1st day back to school. wow the summer flew by. she's a junior this year. my baby girl is growing fast, as they all do i guess.

was going to reply to so many more but my clicker didn't work right.


well i better go i hear daughter calling to me. until she gets back in a routine it's usually like this, running around & finding things, doing things for her.

Five -- count 'em -- FIVE more days left until we are 2/3 of the way back to Christmas Day.
Just not possible. No, sir. Just not possible.
And yet......

More rain yesterday.
(The mosquitoes are loving it!)
I show 68.7 degrees here currently on our handy-dandy digital back door thermometer.

Well I don't really have a recipe anymore but here's what I do.

I fill my crockpot full of diced tomato's. (about 15 cups)

Sautee a large onion and 2 bell pepper's and dump them in

Dice up 4 cloves of roasted garlic and put it in

Then I add around 3 tbps of italian seasoning, 1/4 cup of sugar, Salt and Pepper

Cook on high 6 hours and then let cool

Freeze in 3 cup servings.

Then when I use it, I add a little tomato paste to thicken it up.

Good morning, MMC!

We are experiencing the weather we usually get in late September/early October ~ it is very cool and foggy out right now. And unusually quiet here. Bo, Palmer and Mouse are still sleeping ~ I can get a lot done before I start work today. Work is keeping me home ~ store stock and a few hours of data entry business with my other job. I'll be able to make a batch up of Made's tomato sauce, too. Since I have fur kids in the house, I will not leave a crock pot on while I am gone. I know it is supposed to be a safe thing to do, but with them in the house, I won't.

Good morning, MMC!

I was on the phone for 45 minutes attempting to schedule and it was a complete disaster. Apparently, half of the classes that I want are now "controlled" which means that people from different campuses are no longer allowed to take them. This is going to be a huge problem for me because now I'm going to have to take these classes, no matter the days of the week or the times, in the spring and next fall. As for the other classes I tried to get, everything was completely full. I just had no luck this morning, even though I was prepared with schedule numbers and everything.

Looks like I'll have a busy semester on campus.

It was so foggy out this morning that it almost looked like a whiteout from snow, I wish!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a nice day here in central Indy with a high of 81 degree's. I don't have much on the agenda for today. I have to clean up the mess I made yesterday and then I might run up to the apple orchard to see what they have in stock. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Coffee in my Santa mug, Santa Clause 2 on the tv, my mini led Christmas tree plugged in, and a pine scented candle burning. It's going to be a good afternoon.

I LOVE this! I wish I were at home now, doing exactly this! Thanks for sharing the pic!

My husband truly knows me very well. He bought me an It's A Wonderful Life matted photo, and had it signed by Karolyn Grimes. She addressed it to me, and quoted her line of "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings". Then he framed it. I thought that was such a sweet gesture, since it's one of my favorite movies. God love him.

How are you guys today? Any weekend plans?

Besides going out for dinner tomorrow evening, we'll probably grill out & watch some movies. It's still very hot here. I can't wait for Fall! Have I told you that?! It'll be so nice to open the house up again. Harlowe loves it, too. That way she can listen to all of the neighborhood dogs, watch people walking by, etc. Basically be involved in all the action!
