I talked with my reconstruction doctor, and he said, "No, no, no!" A nurse at the pre-op site said that if anyone gave out info with written consent could be fined and maybe even lose his or her job! She said they would not even give out info to my husband!

This is very true! It's hard as a nurse, when a patient's family member, even wants to know something, but sometimes there is things we just can't tell them.

Just heard about this a little bit ago myself. How sad. Praying for all of these people and their families.

The reporters are rushing so to get the details out that they're not checking their copy before it goes live. I saw one report that said "A 53-year-old fashion accessories designer, disgruntled over being fired a year ago, shot and killed a 41-year-old former co-worker three times ..." [bold mine]

In other news, The 11pm track for Issac takes it further west. If you need gas you better go get it now.

There was already a 30 cent hike in my area.

It sounds like some NYPD officers need to spend some more time on the gun range too.

Jim Shore is on, Hide the credit and debit cards!!!!

He does have some nice stuff ~ I like the stories behind the quilts which add to the meaning of the pieces.

MMC is running slow for me as well.

I never caught up on here and thought about attempting facebook but I think I will quit facebook and stay here! :transform: I just open up facebook for any notifications and may catch a few post here and there (whatever is on the front page) and of course, Greasy Skillet Show! Focus on Christmas is more fun! It also gives me more time to sleep err get things done.

I am going to attempt to get some things done today and will be back shortly!

Great to see you back to posting! Hope all is well!!!

I have that edition---they have some extras, including info about how they restored the film for the DVD. Sim brings a bit of humor to Scrooge. He's a riot at the end after his transformation!

[film historian] I think the "original" was made in about 1908, and there were several other versions made before the 1950 version starring Sim---so there are more versions out there you can add to your collection! I recommend the 1935 British version starring Sir Seymour Hicks. More ghostly, rather like Dickens wrote it. [/film historian]

I saw the Hicks' version on TCM one year ~ it was really good! I haven't seen the Alistair Sim version in years ~ might have to order me one.

I guess when I get home from work thjs afternoon I better watch QVC while I make Zucchini Cobbler!!

Sounds yummy! May we have the recipe, please?!

Me too. I grew up with seeing alot of those designs at my great grandma's house in PA. So I guess I'm just naturally drawn to his work.

Good afternoon, MMC!

Long day again ~ and a hot one, too. I was able to catch up on the Countdown ~ just in time to head back to work cheesy

Have a MERRY day!

:merry:

So I've turned QVC back on and yes...it toy's! I think Made is right and they're trying to tell me to buy some!

Anyway, I put some cheesy baked potato soup into the crockpot a little while ago. That's for dinner tonight. Friday is movie night at our house, so we will be doing this evening. I will of course check in with the QVC festivities, but will be spending time with my family as well!

Hope everyone is having a great day!
