Christmas Across the Lands? Yes! Host Randy Sherwyn has been providing updates on the FaceBook page since February. A July 12 posting says that CAL 2012 is in the can save for a few tweaks!

On can listen to the 2011 show on the website!

We are going out to dinner and then out to Wal-Mart. I love the regional magazines, too. I was thrilled when the stores here started carrying Southern Living!

It's funny, when I left the midwest, I was just getting to the age where I truly appreciated everything that was around me- the people, scenery, events, community feel, etc. Then I went & moved away. I'm sure every town has things like we do back home, but not that much in Sin City!

I have returned from my vacation back home in Sault Ste. Marie. What a wonderful weekend it was! Kim and I arrived at about 2 PM on Saturday and were out at camp (cottage) by 4:45. It was beautiful to be out there for nearly two full days. So peaceful. Following camp, Kim and I returned to my mom's and had a great time. The food and the atmosphere were both excellent. I always enjoy seeing my family. It's always good to be home.

We landed in Ottawa yesterday at 2 PM. It was only about four hours of travel time to return here. Not bad, considering I used to bus (12-13 hours). Now, it's back to the real world. Kim will work today and I have to go into work to sign some papers for my upcoming contract. I can't wait to get paid again!

The weather here is suppose to reach about 34C with the humidex. The "ber" months have not yet arrived. As always, though, I will take the warm weather when I can get it. It will be cold soon enough. Also, signs of Christmas will be popping up soon enough, too! How exciting! Only 10 days left until the 100 Days to Christmas Milestone... Only about 20 days left until the Christmas Blossoms thread... Wow! We're really moving along. It's nuts when you're gone for about five or six days!

Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone! The weekend is almost here and you all deserve another break from work!

Good evening,

Busy day today, besides that it was a basic run of the mill type of day.

I did spend some time looking for Christmas magazines online today, I learned that Christmas 365 magazine (no not related cheesy )is no longer published. I hope I can find a good one soon.

Let us know when you find one. Nothing beats the nostalgia of holding and looking through a magazine that isn't in a screen.
