Well my SIL Jackie is out of surgery. Text from my sister said "Extensive disease. Did total radical mastectomy & needed to insert wound vac because of amt. of tissue removed. May have to stay an extra day depending on how she does" My sis has not seen her yet. So we keep hoping & praying...

Keeping her in my thoughts.

I was in Dollar Tree yesterday, and Walmart today, and both have their Christmas aisles out already! The Walmart clerk says they are putting things out early this year hoping to entice shoppers to start spending earlier...me, I just love looking and seeing what's new this year!

Well the fire at the boy scout camp this morning looks like it was arson. The dogs found traces of acceleratant around the site, so samples are being sent to the police lap. They also found 3 other cabins that had been vandalized and a vending machine that had been broken into.

That's despicable, why would someone do that?

Okay a question for all of those that keep getting the you must be a platinum member message. Are you using Internet explorer and do you keep getting this message-

If you are getting that message, here's how to stop it-
Follow the steps as mentioned below:
1) Click start and click on internet explorer
2) Hit Alt key on keyboard
3) Click on Tools , internet options
4) Click on security tab
5) Click on Custom level
6) Scroll down to Enable XSS FILTER “Under Scripting”
7) Place a check mark for Disable XSS FILTER and click onOk
8) Click ok to close the properties windows
9) Restart internet explorer and check for issue

Praying for all of those sick, having surgery, or just having a hard time.
Sending big hugs out to all!!!

Today is my last full day at my job. Tomorrow will go by fast, I'll finish up some last minute projects & payroll, pack my desk up, and go to my farewell party. Bittersweet!!

I have a good friend that's been going through a tough time the past few years, and she stopped having fun w/ the holidays. I've been trying to get her back into the spirit. Yesterday, I went into her office (I work w/ her) and she had Christmas music playing on Pandora! Yay, success!!! She even asked me to help her decorate her dollhouses (she collects them, along w/ miniatures) for Christmas! I'm so happy for her!!

My sister, Shannon, comes into town next Wednesday. I'm so excited! It'll be my last hurrah before "moving mode" kicks into gear. We are going to shop, go out to eat- a lot, go bowling, see some movies, and just hang out at the house w/ Harlowe. Should be a blast.

Well, I better get back to work. You guys always put a smile on my face, I'm so thankful for my MMC friends!

Those wound vacs are NOT fun. I had to have them with the double mastectomy and later with the removal of the expanders. Your SIL is definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

You are so right, Sugar!!!

The wound vac will really help with her healing process. Those do work wonders. As Seawaters knows, your SIL will have a good bit of pain for a while, especially with the amount of tissue they removed. Praying this will the first positive for her in her healing. Keep us updated. I will continue to pray.

I got all my cookies baked & icing on them all! :grin: I took Buster for a little walk & it was such a gorgeous night I walked some more after he was done. We have an October sky out there tonight. Buster was so happy to go for a walk. He jumped so high when he saw his leash. Makes me happy to see him jump like that at 16 1/2 years old. Lol!

Sweet dreams to all of you who are heading to bed. Sleep tight! I just popped The Family Stone in the dvd player & poured myself a glass of Chardonnay. Hubby is bowling tonight. I'm loving the movie already. :smile: I'm going to crochet on Jackies afghan for awhile!

No, my sister lives in Wisconsin. She comes out every Fall, and just needed a vacation. She wanted to whoop it up here w/ me one more time! =) So, I'm extra happy that I'll be close to her & my niece once we get back. They will be about 90 miles away. speaking of big screens....i don't think i've mentioned this but, i have been booted from the living room apparently. 1st off we gotta new sofa last November & i do NOT like it & find it very uncomfortable. now my son & hubby have claimed the tv (especially for football season) so i've been sent to my room. our tv is much smaller in there. anyhoo we have our loveseat from the old living room furniture in there. Soooo comfy. they love to tell everyone that they kicked me outta there but i know the real truth, hehehehehe. let'em think it.
