I have managed to do a quick read through of all the posts since I was last here.

It has been a busy day, my son had to have a throat scope this morning to check on what was going on with his hiatus hernia. We almost missed it because for the first time in ages I actually slept in! But we made it. Everything went well and it looked good the doc said. Just have to wait for the biopsy to come back.

Now I am home from my TOPS meeting and enjoying a quiet evening at home.

front flower beds all cleaned out, just need to get some new top soil and some organic fertilizer in them so they are ready for spring planting.

Back garden where the tomatoes were planted is cleaned out. Came up with a huge bowl of small green tomatoes. Do not want to make any more relish since I have lots of that. Anyone have any ideas of what to do with green tomatoes?

Still have to do the rest of the garden, but for now going to take a break.

I hope this finds everyone well and happy!

Boy, I missed you guys!!! The last day I posted, my modem died and it took me this long to get a replacement. I tried going local, but all I ended up doing is going on a wild goose chase. I even called ahead of time and was assured they had one ~ I really wish that employees would learn the basics of the items they carry in stores. Ended up ordering one online and it took a week to get here.

Mouse, Palmer and Bo are fine, although Bo did give me a scare the other day. He was not acting right, but seems okay now. One of the missing kittens showed up and a friend of my cousin's posted a picture on his FB page of what looks like one of my missing cats. He lives about a mile from me, so it is likely that it is Bob

Good morning, Merry! I use teabags that combine green tea with bit of white tea and have the added flavors of honey, lemon and ginseng. No sugar, no milk ~ yummy!! Have a great day!

LOL! I just bought a Droid yesterday. I feel like an old man; I can't figure the crazy thing out! :-o

Never mind ... we both still have "non-smart" cellphones and prefer it that way!

A few decades ago my grandmother canned some green tomato juice ... can't vouch for it personally, though!

wuzzup.....first day of delivering mail with the bike again....wasnt so great....every stone i drove over...felt like a shock to my back....oh well....at least tomorrow im riding the car alongside my moms so I can learn her mailroute...and then I´m off from work for 9 days....sounds good to me...i hope my back will have recovered by then

I gave in at lunch & turned the furnace on - just for a bit, to take the chill out of the air! Our house just felt so chilly!!!! I know...I'm a wimp! :cold: I love the smell of the 1st time the furnace is turned on for the year. :grin:

My sil is having surgery tomorrow morning at 11:00 - a mastectomy - so any prayers would be appreciated. I sure hope & pray it all goes well! She will be going through radiation, 5 days a week for 6 weeks after the surgery. Scary stuff!

I will keep her in my prayers.

Good evening Christmas family !!

A really nice day today ! A little chilly this morning but that is wonderful. We went to Hobby Lobby and bought our tree and it was 40% off !! Also the new Holy Family for my nativity arrived today !! The Season is moving right along and I am so excited !!

The only thing is that the pain and swelling in my left third toe has now spread to my other foot. It is becoming inceasingly difficult to walk. On a pain scale I would say it is 10 out of 10. I don't know what is going on but I am exhausted from being in so much pain. All my doctor seems to want to do is give me drugs. He did order an xray and blood work but that was all normal. SOMETHING has to be causing this.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well.

hey y'all! been a rough one today.

how do you guys feel about tattle tails? a lady @ work told boss that i was discussing the ins & outs of the business w/ a wholesale driver we have. we had a meeting to discuss how bad things are @ the shop & this lady told boss i told the driver. this could not be further from the truth. we were actually talking about the economy as a whole & how slow it is every where. boss didn't like this & called me immediately. the driver goes to other shops in town & she thought it would get out. i was/am furious!!!!!!!! IF we were to have to lay off, it would go in hiring order therefore i would be the last to go not this lady. i truly think she can't stand the idea of this & is simply jealous & is trying to prove herself invaluable to our boss. i tried to question her this morning but didn't really get any result. boss came in for a short time & was very stand offish. boss has a full plate right now anyway. her dad is taking cancer treatments & is having some difficulty w/ it.

this lady wasn't even there to hear the whole conversation we were having, only the last part of it. what should i do y'all????

Went to work and felt fine--whew!

It's a wee-bit muggy outside right now--BOO!!! On top of that, all next week (starting Sunday) it's going to be rainy though on the plus side, the temps will be kept down.

Anyway, tomorrow is Friday AND pay day. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, I thought tattle tailing stopped in grade school, but apparently it is alive and well among some adults too! Our sub shop is inside a convenience store that recently went under new management. We were on a break, sitting around talking to the assistant manager,then the manager from store walks in looks at us, walks out and calls our manager to tell her there are to many workers and no customers and we are all doing no work.(I guess she thinks we should never have breaks)
A few days later she tells our assistant manager that one of our workers is stealing chips and should be fired right away. Turns out she had a receipt for the chips (this girl would never steal). I do not know what their problem is but I hope they stop it soon, very unprofessional.

Waiting for daughter to come out of Staples,. The colours on the trees are getting brighter and more abundant every day. Looks great! Chilly right now but is going to be a nice day. Off to grocery stores next then home again to get some yard work done.... Or bake or work on cakes, will see what I feel like. She is back, have to go.

Canada has some of the most beautiful trees in Fall !!!!! xo

Good (almost) afternoon!! :hi:

I don't have much to say this morning either other than my SIL didn't get her full pathology report back yet but it doesn't sound like the preliminary is great. She doesn't want all of us to know the full report, just that she does need further treatment. (which we already knew)- anyway...my sis (who was with her) says we can read between the lines. I'll just keep hoping & praying the radiation can get all of it & she can be be happy, healthy, & ALIVE after!! My hubby & I are going to see her Saturday. I'm working on making roast beef barley/veggie soup to bring her. :smile:

My girlfriends are taking me out tonight for my birthday...which was Sept 6th. We've been so busy, this is our 1st chance to go! I'll probably be tired tomorrow!!! Lol!!
