Hi all, good to 'see' you again :-D

Back for another season. Wow, seems like we were just wishing each other a Merry Christmas last Dec 25th.

Posting on here will increase as October moves forward. While Christmas music does not begin in our house until Nov 1, still it is Oct 1 that feels like a real separation point from the summer season to the holiday season.

Can't wait!

Praying that you feel better quickly. It's no fun being sick!

Why do I have to be sick? I woke up yesterday feeling perfectly fine and now suddenly today I have an awful cold. My stomach is bothering me and cramping on top of my cold so I am not feeling so great. I keep getting hot and then I'll be freezing minutes later. This is no fun :[ Time to go lay down on the couch because my eyes are watering like crazy and I am drained!

How's this for Santa answering your Christmas wishes? On Thursday, I was looking up outdoor decorations for out front because our first 2 Christmases in this house, we've only done lights + an old sleigh + some ribbons, greens, etc... but I've wanted something "bigger" like some reindeer or something. Well, it's been a pain int he butt because a street near us has been clsoed for roadwork so we took an alley to get through... and who was laying by a trash can? A little outdoor reindeer! She just needs some new lights (and a parner) and she'll be good as new! Hooray!!

What a great find! Please post a picture when you get her fixed!

Good evening, friends!!

I have missed you all so very much!!

I am having a wonderful time w/ my sister. We have been doing a lot of shopping, eating out, bowling, movies, tourist stuff, etc. You name it.

I have also been taking care of my neighbors dogs & house while they're away.

Adrian got back today from a business trip out of town. It's nice to have him home.

How are you all? Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers!!

I will be around again on a regular basis later on this week once all quiets down a bit.

I've been seeing so much Christmas in the stores! So beautiful!! But, I am way behind the times & don't have a smart phone, otherwise I'd be snapping pictures like crazy.

Today I made fresh salsa with cilantro that was so fresh and fragrant. An aide at school had brought in lots of tomatoes and so had the cafeteria lady. I just love fresh, homegrown tomatoes. Tonight we are having hamburgers grilled outside. With those fresh tomatoes, I could eat just a tomato sandwich. Why are we grilling outside? Because it is still hot here! Can you tell by my whining that I do not like hot weather? LOL

I love salsa, but not cilantro. I find the smell of that seasoning gag-inducing and the taste is extremely bitter. I grew it one year and had to rip it all out of the garden because the smell was so horrible I thought it was bad.

Well I'm going to call it a night. My sister has to have a hysterectomy tomorrow so it's going to be a long couple weeks of babysitting for me. So I'm going to need my rest.

This morning I am coming down with a bad cold and I have a terrible headache. I need to start taking zinc to see if I can get rid of this cold. Let's hope the ibuprofen kicks in for now!

My sister's surgery is at 1pm.

My niece had been doing good up until this last week. She went in for an infusion last Monday and they always do blood work at the same time. Well the blood work showed decreased liver function. So they had to take her off of her anti inflammatory pills and cut way back on her methotrexate. So now she is really starting to hurt again.

That poor girl ~ I hope and pray the doctors will find something that will take away her pain.

Monday hello! Didn't get to post yesterday ... by the time I was ready to sit down and post in the evening, I found the Internet was down. I restarted the modem, router, and computer, but no good---the problem was on the ISP's end. It was down for about 3 hours. :-? I missed you all!

Didn't sleep well after that, and Mr. didn't sleep well after looking after his dad all evening, and then Mr. had to get up at 5 a.m. ... well, it's time for a mug of tea.

Another reason I may not have slept well: I found Nutcracker Sweet (vanilla and cinnamon) tea at the supermarket yesterday and had to sample it, but it was nearly 7 p.m. before I got around to it. Can't drink caffeinated tea that late and expect to sleep well. But it tasted very nice! cheesy

Hello, Merry! I'll have to see if I can find that tea. I hope you and Mr. will be able to get some rest this evening. Take care!

It was a long day at the store, but well worth the work ~ the displays look quite nice, if I do say so myself. cheesy I have some more work to do, so I am going to get off of here and get at it so I can get to sleep at a decent hour.

After all this salsa talk, I am in the middle of making a batch of fresh salsa too - with cilantro! I had just enough tomatoes left from what I picked in the garden last week to make a single batch!! Usually I made a double or triple so this will be gone in no time!! YUM!!!

Well my sister is out of surgery and in recovery. The doctor said that everything went smoothly. She has to spend the night since they did it so late in the day but she should be released tomorrow morning.

My laptop lead stopped working . So I ordered a new one of eBay .. Was not so bad as I had the table top computer to do me.
Was working with it a few hours
And next thing it stopped working and it said I had to run the start up disc that came with it. Aye right it's 8years old.
A guy said he can probably get it up and running but I will lost all my pictures and things. !
So I had to go and borrow a friends I pad. Am using it now and am all over the place on it don't no how to change colours but I am thankful I have something to get on the internet. I have the I phone but I can't see it lol it far to small for me
So that was the high light of my day other than pallets and rain. ,
So bedtime for me. So will say good night. And you all take care and god willing will talk to you all tomorrow. ))
