Great to see you back.

Hello all!

Wow, it has been quite some time since I made an appearance on this site! Needless to say, I have been very very busy!

The Good: I GOT MARRIED! 11 DAYS AGO TO BE EXACT! :)

It was a great day...not without its drama (photographer...ugh!), but still amazing!

The Bad: I am currently unemployed.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this here the last time I posted (I can't even remember when that was!) but I voluntarily left Hallmark as I started getting a lot more hours at Kohl's. Then in June, Kohl's decided to let me and a friend (also a supervisor) go due to an absolutely absurd reason, which we are both still fighting. Long story short, neither of us were allowed to collect unemployment and it is a long, drawn out, awful mess.

Other than that, life has been good and is starting to settle back down...and I can finally look forward to CHRISTMAS!!! Hope you all are doing well and I can't wait to be back and more active on this lovely site!!!

We had an odd summer, one day super hot the next nice, another cool, one month no rain next month all it did (at least it felt that way) was rain, I know a lot of places were hurting for the rain, but really weird weather. Yesterday felt awesome 72 sunny today a little humid it started to rain. Maybe NYC will get snow this year.

Oh yeah I agree with that!!!!

I just returned from shopping, and it was so hot I could not even finish my lunch. UGH! I also needed a pain pill and deliberately left them at home, so I really was not feeling great. I took some meds just a few minutes ago, so they should kick in soon. For some reason, the posts today have been so much fun to read. It is good to see vsuclaribnl back. Sorry to hear about the job. I remember when you told us about Hallmark and really thought Kohls would be a great fit for you. Let us know how that progresses. The friend I took to Chico with me today told me about the clerk at a local office supply store who developed cancer nine months ago. Last week, her boss told her he was going to cancel her insurance because it was too expensive. He came in several days later and told her he was letting her go. BUT he wanted her to work for a while until he decided what he was going to do. I told my friend to tell the clerk to get an attorney at fast as possible. I also told her that she should have received her severance pay immediately. What a creep that employer is!!! I think I overspent at the scrapbooking store. Let's put it this way: I spent less than $300. But the supplies I got are just so beautiful! I got lots of Halloween stuff and quite a bit of Christmas stuff, too. I can hardly wait to get started! Good news about JP's teeth and good news about the battery! Don't dive into that beef stew on the shallow end!!!

Good evening,

JP's dentist visit went well, his 6 year molars are growing in and the chipped tooth happened to be his baby tooth being cracked by the incoming molars. So it turns out to be nothing to be worried about, all is normal. Went and replaced the battery again, no charge as we just purchased the battery 3 weeks ago, phew! that gets expensive. Getting ready to dive into the beef stew.''

Talk to you later.

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's a chilly rainy morning and the rest of the day is looking the same. I got my oldest niece off to school and now me and my youngest niece are going to run to sam's club. I talked to my sister and she is hurting pretty bad this morning. I don't know what she was expecting but when they go in and take a bunch of stuff out of you, it's going to hurt. Well I'm off. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

made, i'm sorry i must've missed your post, but what did your sister have done?

Vacation and Michael Buble, what else could you ask for?

not a thing!!

All the talk about countdown clocks and I decided to buy two. I searched online and found one that can count down 999 days!!! One sits on a table or mantle and the other has a key chain!

your countdowns sound really cool. we have 1 @ work that's really nice but i think it cost too much.

I feel a lot better, even with lymphedema. That part hurts like you know what. The doctor is recommending I go to a lymphedema clinic before I start radiation. She has also suggested a pain management clinic. We shall see! It is great to see you here. I thought maybe Made had you locked up in the kitchen doing dishes!

seawaters, what is lymphedema?

I plan to go shopping in Chico with a friend. We are going to the new scrapbook store. The highs today are supposed to be 101!!!

ouch that's hot!

Kitchen clean, dishes done, living room clean, air conditioner put away for another season.
I am feeling great, nothing wrong that I know of. Just got results of my mammogram and it was normal.
Do not have to be at work until 5 so I get to relax and enjoy the afternoon.

I think I will work on some more cake decorations.

yaay-good news about your mammogram !

Shellie, I love your signature!!! I want to jump in that snow and hang out at that house!

Caninemom, your signature is nice and sparkly!

Good evening MMC community!

I hope you all had a successful and great day. My day was pretty hard. It seems that every Tuesday is going to be the hardest day of the week. At least in semester one. I have two lectures and a seminar on that day. After first lecture and a seminar I'm always exhausted. Staying focused for four (oh well, for three and a half maybe) hours isn't very easy thing. Although I enjoy my lectures, I always feel pretty tired after them in the end of every Tuesday. ^^

I also bought a lot of paper sheets today for making index cards for learning English words. I suppose a lot of work is waiting for me this weekend. ^^

I'm now having a cup of tea (like every evening) and listening for ''Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reinder'' by Gene Autry for many times already. It's stucked in my mind from the early morning and I've been croonning and singing the song all day.

Have a cozy and warm evening everyone!

Good to see you back!

Congratulations to you on your marriage and sorry about the job.
"A Christmas To Remember" is now open at Crabtree Valley Mall!
See the Blossoms thread for photos just posted.

The Macys Christmas section is also now complete and open!
Will be post photos of it in the near future.
Yay! I love going to Macy's to look at Christmas goodies!

Congrats on the wedding ... "pooh" to the employment troubles ... and it's good to see you here again!

That is the way it feels to walk into Fenway Park and see the Green Monster.

There IS something magic about Fenway Park ... just to think of the generations who cheered (and grumbled!) through Red Sox games there.

I forgot to tell you that I bought the new candy corn Oreos today. And I bought two USB Christmas trees!

OH, that sort of attitude makes me so RIPPIN' mad! Mr. was once terminated from a position while he was recovering at home from cranial surgery. Necessary, not elective! Even though he was on short-term disability, the company's position was "he can't do his work [even though it was just during his recovery!], so we're terminating him." And I was once threatened with termination because I had been absent from work for five days without clearing them in advance---having medical tests done to stage my just-diagnosed lymphoma for treatment! Some managers have empty holes where their hearts should be ...

That is horrible! Some people are just heartless.
I remember when my mother was battling cancer, it was a constant battle with the insurance company with them threatening to cancel her insurance every week. My mother was in tears constantly because of the battle with them.

I understand all about pain these days. Though my pain is of a far less serious nature, I find that I HAVE to take several pills daily of a light narcotic nature. As far as shopping and "spending too much," well you DESERVE to treat yourself xooxox

It's okay, and while I knew I wasn't going to be with Kohl's forever, I didn't think my time with them would end the way it did. It frustrates me even over 3 months later. I'm hoping it all works out but my friend and I don't hold out much hope.

welcome back!!!! Sorry to hear about kohl's

It's all good, thanks made! =)

congrats on the marriage yaay! sorry about the job bummer! good for you to not let them get there way & getting a lawyeer. good luck!
